Two weeks into the start of term, Cedric was walking over to the Gryffindor table where he often sat nowadays with his soulmate. Today though, all the lions seemed to be excited about something.

Sitting down next to Harry, Cedric smiled. "What's going on?" he asked as he added a pork chop and some mashed potatoes to his plate. Harry was blushing slightly, looking down at his plate.

"I'm the new Gryffindor seeker." he mumbled quietly, but not so much that Cedric couldn't hear him. Surprised, the Hufflepuff turned to the younger boy.

"Really? How did that happen?" Cedric asked as he scooped some peas onto his plate, waiting for his soulmate to explain.

"It was amazing!" the Weasley that was sitting next to Harry, whose name was Ron exclaimed. "Malfoy was going to put Neville's remberall up a tree, and when Harry told him to give it back, he chunked it. But then Harry dove after it, catching it like a pro! He's the youngest seeker in a century!" Harry was still staring down at his plate, moving his macaroni and cheese around on his plate. Cedric smiled at his soulmate's shyness.

"I think that's wonderful." Cedric said, grinning when Harry finally looked up at him with a smile. "I'll be cheering you on, but I still have to support my own house a bit. And who knows, maybe someday we'll be playing against each other!" he said, grey eyes sparkling.

"He's lucky he wasn't expelled!" a brunette with bushy hair and somewhat large front teeth burst out. Cedric frowned as Harry looked back to his plate. "Instead of being punished they allow him to join the team!" she continued.

Before Cedric can say anything, the Weasley twins in his year appear from behind him and Harry. Many people thought ill of the Weasley twins, since they were each other's soulmate, but that was often the case with identical magical twins. Cedric didn't care one way or the other, as long as they didn't prank him.

"Harrykins! We're so-"

"Happy that you'll be-"

"On the team!"

"We'll win the cup for sure this year!" they coursed together, causing many at the table to laugh.

Cedric turned to Harry. "Have you got a broom? Ahh of course not, first years aren't allowed to bring brooms. You can borrow mine until you're able to order one if you want?" he offered.

Harry nodded his head, grinning up at the Hufflepuff. "That'll be great, thanks!" They continued to talk about their day as they ate, and how they were looking forward to the upcoming weekend.
