A/N: Wow. I guess I'm continuing this story:) It's not the best one I have so far, the story I mean, but it really helps me get out of my writers block...
Well...um...I don't know what else to say...
REVEIW
Chapter 2
Near woke up to the sound of shooting. He shot up and looked around the area he was in. To his left, a redheaded person was playing a violent videogame and on the right, there was a blonde carrying a bowl towards him. The blonde then stopped right behind the redhead and yelled.
"Turn that down! He might wake up!" The person on the floor rolled his eyes.
"Whatever Mels, I still don't understand why you're helping him," The blonde slightly blushed at the statement, "It's his fault that he was caught in the storm."
"...Just go back to your gaming Matt..." Matt smiled and shot down a few enemies. The blonde turned to face Near and froze. His face turned vicious before turning somewhat soft. He set the bowel down by the table next to Near as he placed his hand on Near's forehead, "I see you're awake," He smiled and began to peel of the bandages on the albino's head, "Sorry about Matt, he tends to play his games like this," All was silent between the two as the blonde cleaned up Near's wounds. Near looked at the screen of the television as Matt shot down some zombies or something.
Near really didn't know the difference.
Soon the blonde finished wiping off the blood and was applying the new bandages on the albino's head. Near was so caught up in the game that when the blonde began to talk; he almost jumped ten feet in the air.
Almost.
The man next to him chuckled, "Sorry. Didn't know you liked video games to,"
"I don't," Near looked away from embarrassment.
"Ok, whatever you say. The name's Mello by the way," Mello picked up the bowl and turned to leave.
"...Near," It was barely loud enough to hear but Mello heard it.
"Nice to meet ya, Near," And with that, the blonde left the albino to rest up.
Near closed his eyes and fell asleep to the sounds of guns firing and animated people screaming.
Light had it. Even though L confiscated his cell phone, he was still going to call the police. Currently, the sugar lover finished his pudding, save for the couple of times he had to fling the dessert at Light, and was sleeping on the couch in the ski lodge area, where other skiers were currently at, waiting out the final parts of the blizzard.
Light slowly sat up, cautiously looking at L, and 'casually' walked up to the front desk; if casually walking was almost running.
This time, Near woke up to the smell of pancakes. Usually he hated the smell of them but they seemed different though, like there was something else added...
...Like chocolate...
Near stood up and stretched his body while taking in the living room's view officially for the first time. It was a light blue color, which looked quite like the color of Mello's icy eyes, and there were two black leather love seats and a large couch to complement it. To the right of Near, there were three large bookshelves filled to the brim with books of almost any kind of genres and maybe languages. He looked over to his left where a certain redhead was gaming on the floor with several gaming consoles and many cans of what looked like Red Bull surrounding him. Near just backed away and walked towards the delicious smell that was coming from behind one of the many doors behind him.
The kitchen looked very nice as Near marveled over the interior design of the room. Turned away from him was a blonde headed male flipping pancakes. Near sat on one of the seats that was next to the island while the blonde was putting the finished pancakes on a plate. When Mello turned to put the plate on the island, he met a tried looking albino watching him.
"Still tired?" The blonde smirked as he placed the still warm pancakes in front of Near. The boy just nodded and grabbed the butter the was next to him. Mello pulled out the maple syrup and poured a little on the butterfied pancakes. Near smiled softly and began to devour the food in front of him; he didn't even notice the blonde looking at him curiously. When he finished, he looked up to see that Mello placed a cup of milk in front of him.
It was drained in seconds.
Mello smiled and took the dishes to the sink. He sat down next to Near and looked at the smaller boy, "How are you doing?"
"Better I suppose. I don't really remember anything though, besides telling my friends L and Light that I was going to snowboard for a few hours"
"That's good I suppose, I just wanted to make sure that you didn't get amnesia or something," Mello took a bite out of his own breakfast.
"Um, Mello?" The blonde stopped eating.
"Hm, yes?"
"How did I get here? I mean I know that either you or Matt got me but how did I get here." Mello smiled.
"It's somewhat an interesting story. It's sort of long though, just to worn ya."
"I'm patient."
"Ok then."
Mello looked up from the book he was reading. Was that a scream I just heard? The blonde looked out the window, there was a small black smudge of a dot not too far away from the house. Mello looked at Matt, who was currently playing whatever game that had been keeping him up for three days straight. He knew that it would be ruthless to ask his friend if he heard the scream to but it was worth a shot, "Hey Matt," The gamer paused his game and looked up clearly looking irritated from being disrupted from his game.
"Yeah Mels, what's up?" Ignoring the nickname Mello looked back at the window.
"Did you hear that scream not too long ago?" Matt looked back at his game.
"You mean that weird noise outside, yeah I did. If you're so interested, go outside and see it," Mello stood up and grabbed his thick leather coat. The wind was blaring when the blonde took his first step out into the storm. He could just barely see ten feet away from him; this was going to be difficult. Mello, started his slow walking towards the dot, making sure that he didn't crash into Matt's car or his prized motorcycle, trying to make sure that he didn't fall flat on his face every ten seconds.
After about five minutes, Mello was about ten yards from the dot that started to look more human than a round fuzzy thing. He looked around the area, that he could see, and vaguely spotted a snowboard. The blonde walked up to the board and examined it for any damage; it turned out to be in perfect shape. He looked back at the figure and Mello looked at the ground around the body, he could just barely see the small red circles, that was near the person's head, slowly growing by the second. His eyes widened and he rushed up to the figure. Mello saw the person's head lift up slightly before falling back down into the snow. The blonde gingerly lifted the person's head, not before noticing how blue the person's lips were, before picking up the rest of the body bridle style. Mello also grabbed the edge of the snow board before walking as quickly as he could to the house.
Matt practically died of shock, fear, and the ridiculous amount of Red Bull that he consumed when Mello almost literally broke the door down. It took a few seconds and the look on the blonde's face for Matt to almost fully register what happened.
The gamer shot out of his seat and hurried towards Mello, as the blonde put the person that was in his arms, on the couch. "Matt, get me a towel and some dry clothes," The redhead nodded quickly and ran to grab those things without a second thought while Mello started to take off the many layers of clothing that the person had on.
After drying off as much water as they could off of the person, and putting on a new shirt, since the person's pants, the ones under the snow suit, were surprisingly dry, Matt began to question Mello about what happened. The blonde answered each question, as much as he hated to, the best that he could while trying to warm up the person who was, shockingly, wrapped up in Mello's arms. After a half an hour of being interrogated by Matt, who stopped to finish his game after saying that all of the blonde's answers were "Boring" and "Not answering his questions", Mello laid the person that he was 'cuddling' with on the couch and placed a few blankets on him before leaving the room to do whatever work he had to do in his room.
Near finished the blueberry muffin that Mello got for him as the blonde ended his story. He looked at his empty plate before looking up at the person next to him.
"Thank you...For saving me," Near lowered his face even more to conceal the light blush that was painted on his face as Mello smirked.
"It was nothing really," The blonde stood from his seat and took the plate that was in front of Near to clean. It was silent, for the most part, in the kitchen while Mello dried the plate and Near was twirling his hair; the albino's mind a million miles away.
"HOLY FUCKING HELL!" Near almost fell out of his seat and a clatter was heard near the sink. The albino could hear Mello growling as the blonde picked up the bowl that dropped in the sink and placed it on the counter. Mello looked at the door that led into the living room area.
"What the fuck did he do this time?" The question was meant to only be heard by the blonde himself, but Near heard it and began to wonder what Matt did and what Mello meant by "this time". Both Mello and Near walked to the door and the albino opened it to see a hyper redhead, half naked, Near distinctly remembered the gamer wearing a shirt and pants before going into the kitchen, dancing around the room. Near stood in confusion as Matt began to sing to the game's theme song.
Mello just growled.
A/N: I don't really know how this chapter came up. The flash back was not the best though and I have no clue what to do after this...grrrr...
*Switching moods* Awwwww! Mello's being all nice! Don't worry he'll be in his badass way soon enough (Maybe), but until then...*Giggles at how Mello is being so sweet to Near*
Ok so the little thing with Light calling the police thing well, Near was only outside snowboarding for about 45 minutes before being knocked out and rescued by Mello. Then he woke up about an hour and 15 minutes later to Matt killing zombie things before going back to sleep ten minutes later...yeah, that sounds really confusing but technically he went back to sleep around the time Light was attacked by flying pudding in the last chapter...I really don't think that this is helping anyone...
