Gray swam, not saying a word nor even having a clue of what he was doing. Barkley instead was muttering something which Gray couldn't make out. He stopped and stared at him. Barkley stared back. For five minutes not one of them said a word. But Gray couldn't take it anymore.
" What are you muttering about Barkley?!" he asked.
" I-er- nothing nothing" he said, his voice trembling.
" Come on, spit it out" Gray said, not moving a finn.
" I-umm- nvm lets just move on wherever your guiding me?" Gray noticed Barkley was still trembling.
" Im not moving from here till you tell me whats going on!" He stared through Barkley's eyes, waiting for an answer.
" Er- well- I- Iv'e been wondering, what if Striiker met Hoku on their way?" he whispered.
" Oh Barkley, come on! I dont think Hoku is alive!" he muttered loudly. Obviously, Gray knew he had lied to his best friend. He had been dreaming about Hoku since they last met, but he didn't want Barkley getting nervous or anything, so not saying a word, he swam further with Barkley behind him. He knew Barkley wouldn't believe what he said, but for the meantime he couldn't worry about Barkley. This time he knew where he was going, what Barkley had said... What if it was true? So he swam faster looking everywhere for his friends.
