Hey guys! Thanks for all of the reviews. They mean a lot to me. Anyhow, I would probably expect for this story to be pretty long. It's not going to be a short one, it will probably last for quite a while.
So, hope you all enjoy this next chapter! I'm not quite sure on it. Just let me know what you think.

Chapter 2
"1 Month?!"
Gabriella Montez dropped her fork in mid air and it landed on her huge plate of waffles with a bang. The three people sitting at the table turned to stare at her weirdly but she only glared towards her sister. She was apparently trying to make her suffer.
And this time, Gabriella Montez was most definitely about to pass out.
--
10 minutes earlier
The dark, blue door to the old Montez home swung open quickly and an older, Filipina looking woman stood on the other side. The woman's eyes widened with excitement, "Oh my baby is getting married!" Without wasting anytime Mama Montez grabbed her youngest daughter into a bone-crushing hug while squealing with delight.
Two seconds later, she grabbed Bryan Cummings into the hug as she ranted on and on about her bubbling excitement for the wedding. However, Gabriella Montez stood off to the side by her lone self occasionally rolling her eyes. Literally counting the seconds, it took Mama Montez about 3 minutes and 42 seconds to realize Gabriella was actually there.
"Oh, my sweet Gabriella! It's so nice to see you too dear!" She pulled Gabriella into a warmth embrace that only lasted 27 seconds, as she counted, "Now let's move inside so we can start making plans!"
Both Bryan and Gabriella looked at each other and groaned while Chantel Montez just followed her mother inside like an eager puppy.
Gabriella grabbed onto Bryan's arm, "Before you go in, just so we're clear. Hurt my baby sister and I hurt you." The expression on her face was stern and steady while looking over the dark-haired boy. Bryan became quickly uncomfortable with her glance,
"Uh yeah, I know Gabriella."
"Just making sure we are clear…"
"No really, I know" Bryan insisted. Clearing his throat uncomfortably, "Considering, well, the first time we met you almost ran me over in your SUV…"
Smiling broadly, Gabriella nodded and patted her almost brother-in-law on the back, "Glad we're on the same page, Bryo. Now let's get some food…I'm starved!" She concluded while racing into the familiar house.
Bryan just gulped.
--
The aroma scent of breakfast filled the air as the platter of waffles got passed around from plate to plate. Everyone was silent, quietly chewing their food. Gabriella glanced up from time to time to see her sister's broad smile on her face and Bryan looking quite, well, nervous as hell. Her mother stared off into the distance and Gabriella started thinking how she was probably tearing up ideas in her head about plans for the wedding.
Tapping her fork slightly on her plate, her sister's eyes flickered over to Gabriella's. Raising her eyebrows, Gabriella silently communicated with her sister. In other words, 'get a conversation started now or else I might have to stick pins in my eyes'.
Chantel smiled excitedly as she placed a hand on her fiance's shoulder. "Mom, Gabi, Bryan and I have an announcement to make" She announced hesitantly and Gabriella noticed her mom eagerly leaning over her plate and giving Chantel her full attention. She also noticed how syrup was now stretched across her mother's shirt.
"Well, what is it dear?" Mama Montez asked curiously.
Chantel bit her lip slightly as she nodded at Bryan once and then grinned widely. "We've decided, well, we don't really want a long engagement. We've been dating ever since we started college and we are most definitely in love…"
"Well I would hope so" Gabriella snorted, in which she only received a glare from her mother and sister. Shrugging, "Well, just spit it out already, Chan."
"We're getting married in a month!" Chantel clapped her hands together enthusiastically as she leaned over to give Bryan a peck on the lips and cozied up even closer to her boyfriend, if that was even possible.
The clinging of Gabriella's fork hitting her plate did not go unnoticed and she quickly swore to herself that all attention was now on her. However she did manage to sputter out words that actually made sense.
"1 month?!"
Chantel sighed and groaned as she glared over at her sister. "What now? Sorry I'm not giving you enough time to breathe in and out of a paper bag to get ready for your blind date!" She mocked slightly and watched as her older sister narrowed her eyes.
"Well obviously I'm getting very old at 27, so what the hell, let's get it over with!" Gabriella yelled sarcastically as she slammed her fists down onto the table.
Mama Montez pointed a finger in Gabriella's direction and hissed, "Gabriella, language!" Gabriella just rolled her eyes and shrugged, making hardly a note that she heard her,
"You're crazy if you think you can pull a wedding together in one month!"
Chantel scoffed and let go of her fiancé completely to argue with her sibling, "I'm crazy? You tried to run over my fiancé with your honking SUV!" Their yelling now grew louder and Bryan eventually had a hard time keeping up with who was bashing who. Mama Montez just groaned and put her head into her hands, silently wishing her husband was there to witness it all and make it stop.
"So?"
"So? So?! You could've killed him!"
"I was never actually going to run him over!"
"Yeah but you have been INSANE ever since…"
The room suddenly got silent. Mama Montez took her head out of her hands and was looking from one daughter to the next so fast that her head looked like it could rip off. Bryan gulped again. Chantel gaped and closed her mouth quickly, not continuing her sentence. Gabriella's eyes suddenly got dark and Chantel was once again imagining steam…
"I'm willing to stay sane as long as you don't finish that sentence" Gabriella pleaded softly and Chantel immediately regretted her choice of words, knowing that she hit a nerve.
"Fine" Chantel said abruptly and Gabriella nodded.
"Fine."
--
"Ugh, what are we doing here Chan? You know I don't really drink" Gabriella whined as her younger sister dragged her through a crowd of drunken people. She stared disgustedly passed them and groaned slightly.
"I have a slight surprise for you Gabs…" Chantel said excitedly. Clapping her hands together Chantel scanned her eyes across the room as if she were searching for something. Gabriella raised her eyebrows as she tried to follow her sister's eyes,
"There he is!"
Gabriella tried flickering her eyes towards where her sister was glancing, but she swiveled back around towards her before she could take note. "There who is, Chan?" Gabriella questioned, suddenly getting a queasy feeling in her stomach.
Chantel just smiled nervously at her.
"Chan?" Gabriella huffed impatiently, crossing her arms.
"Before you say anything, I know you're having a hard time dealing with how you have only a month until your wedding date, but…" Chantel paused and Gabriella raised her eyebrows yet again, "ButIthoughtitwouldbeniceifyoumetupearly."
"NO."
Chantel stared at her sister surprisingly. "How in the hell were you able to tell what I said?"
Gabriella scoffed, "Oh please. I knew what you were going to say before you even said it." Chantel just nodded slowly, as if she understood. "And there is NO way I am going on a date with the blind date guy that's supposed to be my blind date for the wedding!"
"Uh huh…yeah, I totally got you."
"No you totally don't."
Chantel groaned and pouted, "Oh come on Gabs, please! He's totally Zac Efron cute!"
Gabriella stared.
"Wh-what?" Chantel asked, feeling uneasy with her sister's glare. "Uh, Gabriella…"
"Chantel," Gabriella hissed as she pointed her finger in her sister's direction. The younger sister made a move to step backwards as Gabriella suddenly got dangerously close to her, "that better not be my high school sweetheart over there or, I swear to you, I will go MIA at your wedding!"
"Well then I won't tell you that."
"That's not funny."
Chantel stomped her foot and pouted her face.
Gabriella stared.
"Fine. It is him" Chantel torturously confessed, then pointed a finger as Gabriella opened her mouth to speak, "But you will go out on a date with him for me and you are going to like it!"
Gabriella stared.
Feeling that sudden tingling sensation she used to feel back in high school, Gabriella was certain of who was standing directly behind her right now. Beads of sweat were starting to form on her head and she had to cross her arms to keep from shaking. Feeling eyes boring into the back of her head, she took a deep breath and turned around with her head down.
"Hello Gabriella" The deep, familiar, masculine voice she still remembered lingered in her ears for a slight moment and she felt her pulse vibrating yet again. Memories from the past came into view and even with her eyes shut she saw them sliding past her eyes in a flash.
Gabriella peeked an eye open. Seeing half of Troy, she was already craving to see more. Opening the other eye slowly, Gabriella's heart suddenly skipped a beat.
For a second, she saw the guy she left nine years ago.
But again, that was only a second as she remembered her reason for leaving.
