CHAPTER 2

BELLA'S POV

I mindlessly changed from my work outfit, and into a strapless red silk dress. I pulled on my matching red heels and grabbed my clutch. On my way through the staff room, I ran into my Boss, Nick. He was a young man, in his late twenties, and was quite attractive.

He gave me my paycheck for the week and a quick kiss before leaving to attend to some business. But not before telling me that he wanted to hang out sometime this week. I agreed and continued to aimlessly walk back to the bar.

Once through the doors, I headed straight for Adrian, as he grabbed my hand and led me out through the doors. We walked past the bouncer as he gave me a quick smile and wave. We continued onto the street in the direction of my house.

I stopped and said "Wait, I have my car. Let's take that." I turned around the corner and we arrived in front of a Black Mercedes. I opened the driver side door, only to get pushed aside and led back to the passenger side.

"You know, I am capable of driving a vehicle." He laughed and said "Yes well, I'd rather get there without getting into any Police chases." I smirked "Hey, it wasn't my fault. They're the ones who started chasing me first. I just made them drive to another few states before jumping out." He mock laughed "Yes, and how many times have you done that?" I thought for a moment.

"Hey! No fair. I never did it more than at least five times." I stuck my tongue out and let him turn the key and start driving in the direction of my house. And by house, I mean Mansion. My house is huge. I mean, it could fit a few hundred people in there with no problem.

The whole ride there I felt as if someone was watching me. And not Adrian. It felt more distant. I shrugged it off just as we pulled into my driveway.

We drove the long drive to my house before finally pulling up next to the garage. "Wow. In my absence it seems to have improved." He opened my door for me as I started laughing. "Yes well, I've had a few people come in for maintenance. Now the garden doesn't look as scary." I continued to laugh at Adrian's sad, pouty face.

"No fair! I tried really hard to do that. I just made a mistake." He said dejectedly. "A mistake that made the Garden look like it got ran over a few times by a truck." He laughed with me now. Knowing that I didn't mean it. We never fought, only mucked around.

"Fine." He sighed in defeat. He never learns. I laughed even more and headed towards to kitchen for a drink. I took two glasses out from the cupboard and sat them on the island. I turned to the fridge and pulled out a blood bag.

After pouring it in the glass and heating it up in the microwave I poured myself a glass of wine and brought both of them to the lounge room. I sat the drinks down on the glass table in front of the black leather sofa Adrian was seated on and joined him.

I took a long sip of my drink and replaced it back onto the table. "So, what is it you had to tell me?" he sighed and replied "Well, as I said we have a battle coming towards us. And guess who the leader is." I thought for a second and knew that there was only one person out to get me.

"Victoria." I stated clearly.
