===== V =====

She was stomping through the hallways, with no sense to stop for any small details. While some may stop and adore the beautiful paintings, sculptures, and scenery outside the window of the castle hallways, she had no time to spare. She needed to alert his soldiers and leave as soon as possible.

With a white uniform accented with red patterns, her hazel hair flew behind her with her orange eyes unfaltering. She sighed as she noticed her recently created silver gauntlets had been loose, and quickly pulled them back to where they were suppose to be. It was neatly designed, being both an effective armour piece and stylish. She had to thank her friend for the creation eventually.

Her friend had also offered to give her a better rapier on numerous occasions, but each time, she declined. Her rapier had been special, holding dear memories with every thrust and parry. It was a reminder of where she came from, proving that she had not been all talk, like how her former classmates had mocked her for. With her rapier, she proved everyone's expectations wrong.

A servant of the castle looked up towards the footsteps, greeting the idolized knight. "Good afternoon, Miss Yuuki."

"While I would love to chat," the knight walked passed the servant without any hesitation, "there's people that need help."

"But of course." The servant returned to dusting off the marble ground.

It was somewhat bothersome that the former kings had designed their castles to be rather large, as it was merely a flaunt of their overwhelming power and wealth. The thought of such an abuse had angered the knight, but the past had been the past. Thankfully, the current royal family wasn't so obsessed with the idea, but they understood that they were royalty because of their power and money.

She was tempted to just use her magic and be done with the trek, but there was a heavy rule on magic within the confines of the castle, with the exception of a raid. Of course, they didn't want the servants to keep fixing everything up, since magic had been quite difficult to use and accidents do happen. The money that went into the hypothetical repairs could easily go to the kingdom's budget, aiding in the livelihoods of the everyday commonfolk.

Heading downs flights of stairs and down countless hallways, she finally made it to the left wing, where there was a training room. Specifically, it was the training room assigned to her unit forces.

Stepping outside, there were soldiers with wooden swords and fighting each other in mock battles. The clashes were typically amusing to watch, she had to admit, and that was further supported by the fact that there was a small crowd of other soldiers watching the duel intentionally. It was a way of studying movements in the heat of battle from a third person perspective, and it was definitely a method to better one's self.

On the other side of the training grounds, there were people focusing on their magic powers. It was difficult for those without potential, but even the everyday civilian can learn to use fire magic if they wanted. They just couldn't rival people with potential who put the same amount of effort. It pained her to stop the soldiers from their trivial grind, but it must be done.

"All soldiers!" she exclaimed. "We received a report!"

Immediately, without much waiting time, every soldier turned to their leader. Their white, accented with red, uniforms had matched her own clothing, indicating which soldiers were under her command. Many of them had been older than her, but age had not been everything in the Imperial Knights of the Capital. Capability was the most important part to a soldier. Going beyond would make one a leader.

Going beyond plus ultra would make one a hero. (kek)

"There has been a kidnapping for about five people. They were last seen retreating into the Beginning Forest! This may be the same people who have avoided authorities for the previous acts of kidnappings. For that reason, I will be taking Squadron A. Squadron B, C, and D will be ordered to patrol around the perimeter of the forest. Alert for any oddities. We will be given support by another unit force, presumingly The Galeforce, or The Alfheim, so please keep your attentions for their uniforms. The plan will be further identified once we arrive at the forest. Are there any complaints!?"

""No, ma'am!"" The soldiers replied in unison.

"Do I make myself clear?"

""Yes, ma'am!""

Turning her back to her soldiers, her face didn't break into a smile. Those who were in power should not savour it. They should always protect those without strength.

That was the saying of The Blood Oath Knights. That was the motto of the person known as The Lightning Flash.

"Uh, ma'am? I've been wondering for a long time." She turned to the soldier with a raised hand.

"Make it quick."

"Do you know the reason why it was called Beginning Forest in the first place?"

"Leave the nonsensical questions for later."

Brushing it off, the leader knight walked away as the soldiers went to prepare themselves as well, equipping only the best swords and armour. The soldier didn't seem too offended that the question wasn't answered, partly knowing that he shouldn't bring such a random topic up at the start of a mission. Honestly, she would have liked to answer that question some day. However, she herself didn't know the true response. Sometimes, she would be too engrossed into her missions that she would block out the random details such as that one.

'Why is it called 'Beginning Forest', anyways?'

===== VI =====

"God, my life sucks now. Really wishing that God sent me to the afterlife than this torture."

You've been walking literally for ten minutes.

"I'm literally injured."

I'm literally done with you.

"Well, I'm literally…" Kazuto paused, trying his hardest to think of a comeback. "Screw you!"

Kazuto trudged through the forest, tired from the battle with the plant monster. The bruise on his legs hadn't gone away, so the common logic of this world had the same sense as the world he came from. His wrist could still feel the tightening grasp of the monster's vines. If another one had shown up, he would have given up right there and then. The branches on the ground were stepped on, snapping them in two. Pebbles on the earth were kicked to the side, leaping out of the way before the one who would hurt them kicked them again.

He hadn't walked this far since gym class in school. His body was still aching, and he had been complaining for quite some time. Did he mention that it hurts to walk?

The problem is that the brat just doesn't know when to shut up and put up.

"Anyways!" Kazuto growled through the grit of his teeth. "How much longer do I need to walk before the next town?"

You got one more hour, Kazuto. C'mon, you can do it! Fight, fight!

"No, I'm taking a break. I don't care what you say."

I am starting to see why you have no friends. You don't listen to any of them, if you had any.

Kazuto bit his tongue. Speaking more to him would only piss him off even more. He would gain nothing from talking with the narrator directly, as his pride was the only thing at stake. Even so, his pride had been rather difficult to protect against the assault of insults. When the narrator said he would rather not be heard, Kazuto was beginning to experience and was understanding why exactly that was the case.

He found a nearby tree stump to sit upon, and he dropped down, exhaling. He inhaled and exhaled again. He did it once more, seeing if the narration would actually repeat the same thing over and over again. With one more breath of air, it entered his lungs and exited promptly. He began to realize that the narrator might have been some sort of a professional when it came to say the same thing again and again, but with different wordings.

For him, the constant narration in his head was certainly annoying. Speaking words and sentences almost endlessly, even when he had simply been sitting down on a tree stump, doing nothing but resting, he found it overwhelming. As the minutes ticked away, he understood with an exponential amount of reality setting in that this might be the rest of his life in this world. He would have to learn to adapt to the talking voice in his head.

He shook his head vigorously. To him, there had to be a way to stop it. He refused to believe that this was his entire life now, an endless amounts of talking within his own head. Surprisingly, he hadn't been given a headache yet, but he thought about what would happen when it came to the problem. The narration would constantly continue, choosing to be ignorant of his pain.

Never once in his life would he thought that he would be 'talked' to death. There have been exaggerations of the saying in the past, for example, when his sister would complain that he's been holding up in his room for far too long and fall into a lengthy tangent on how he should at least spent some time outside. However, if his sister was a boss battle in a video game, this narrator was the final boss on the lunatic plus difficulty on classic mode and he had underleveled units, where it was impossible to complete without extremely good luck.

He groaned, both at the annoyance, and at the pain. He leered downwards towards the cuts in his pants, which revealed dried blood, resting inside his wounds. Apparently, he hadn't been given super regeneration powers or anything along those lines. The thing that changed about him was the clothing and the additional weapons. Then again, if nothing else had changed, Kazuto would never had been able to take on the plant monster. He must have been given some increase in his physical abilities, since it felt so natural. It was like he was in his prime when he had been younger, practicing kendo almost everyday with his sister, only tripled the ability in this case.

He still knew nothing about this world though. God had dropped him into a random forest without any exposition on what he was walking into. It seemed like a terrible business plan if anyone had asked Kazuto personally. Perhaps if he had a clear understanding about this world, his chances of survival might have been better. He could actually, probably, live out the intended life that he was suppose to have back in his own reality. In a certain perspective, this might have been a blessing, giving a restart to his life in another world. Be an adventurer, find a woman, settle down, start a family, and die old and happy, it began to be much clearer with this absurd opportunity.

For now, that dream had been that, a dream. He needed to take little steps at a time before he could leap the river. For now, heading towards that town that the narrator mentioned was a good idea and-

"Holy crap, would you shut the hell up!?" Kazuto exasperated, with despair wallowing in his eyes. He cradled his skull back and forth, breathing heavily to an erratic rhythm. "I literally have no clue what you're babbling on about, but I literally don't care! Could you not just say that I sat down on a tree stump and rested!? Instead, you talk about some stupid thing that I actually didn't think about, because I just wanted a chance to rest! I just want one minute! One! One damn minute of peace and silent! Jesus Christ, it hasn't been a damn day yet, and I am already sick and tired of your stupid narration! You point out the most meaningless things! I honestly thought that a narrator would be helpful to help me survive, but all I get is exposition on crap! Just shut up already, shut up already!"

Kazuto caught his breath after his lengthy rant. His anger didn't give him an window to breath, and his throat had became relatively dry after it. This was definitely the single most frustrating thing he had to deal with in his entire life. He would rather fight the plant monster again then to listen to the torturous words of the narration. He wanted a do-over, just without a narrator. He just-

"Shut the hell up!"

===== VII =====

Hey, Kazuto? Are you alright now?

"Y-Yeah. S-Sorry about that," Kazuto hoarsely replied. From all of the yelling that he underwent, his throat began to hurt. The narrator prompting guided him towards a clean river, where Kazuto could at least soften up his vocal cords. Whether that had actually worked or not, the narrator wasn't a biologist to know, but Kazuto's attitude had lightened up after gulping down the water.

I mean, it was funny as all hell to extend, but it just began to be really sad after five minutes of narrating that one scene. Like, it was terrible on how bad your emotional breakdown was. You started yelling, and then crying. If I had eyes, I would have started crying by just watching. I'll probably scrap that part from the documents, so no one but us will know of the terrifying despair that happened today.

"I-I know it's your job, b-but," Kazuto spoke softly, unable to raise his voice, "do you… always have to speak like that?"

Kazuto, it's not just a job to me or any of the other entities. It's literally the reason why we exist. We're brought into this world to narrate the stories of others, thus we have no other reasons to live. We narrate, or we wait and slowly fade away until we choose to narrate once again. It's pretty dim if you look at it from another perspective.

Kazuto sighed as he stood up from his sitting posture and stared upwards to the sky. The cool breeze had been relaxing, sending just enough chills into his body to be in momentary bliss. "That does sorta sound like a terrible existence."

It's not as bad as you think it is. I've know other entities that have narrated the adventures of so many different people, and I've heard retellings in the boundaries where we await for our next job. I just soon wish to see as many stories as them. So far, none of them had been interesting. They all have been generic people living their lives without any serious conflicts. That's why when the narrator who had been observing your life passed its roles onto me, I was definitely against it mentally.

"Wait, did you lowkey call me gene-?"

It hasn't been a day yet, but this is already pretty interesting. Although, I would still rather have the fourth wall be back up.

He tossed aside his previous comment. Kazuto chuckled with the overseeing entity, as if it was a delicacy. It was difficult to realize that just ten minutes ago, he had been screaming at the top of his lungs.

"Hey, do you have a name?"

I'm an entity beyond and within time and space. We do not have names.

"How do you even communicate with others then?" Kazuto asked softly.

We're entities beyond and within space and time; how many times do I have to explain it, you idiot? We just know who we're referring and when we are being referred.

"Well," Kazuto exhaled, "I need a name, so that I can refer to you as something. I'm definitely not calling you Narrator; that's just weird."

Not as weird as you talking to yourself?

Kazuto disregarded the little remark, immediately arising with a prompted problem. "Since you keep calling your… 'species' as 'it', I can assume you… entities have no gender. The question lies if you want a feminine name or a masculine name."

Apparently, you don't know what a unisex name is.

"I was just asking!"

Nebula.

With a sudden utter from the narrator, Kazuto was slightly taken back. "N-Nebula?" he repeated, running through the smooth calling in his mind a handful amount of times.

It's an astronomy term used by humans, referring to a cloud of dust in the vast space. In a way, I find some comparisons between that term and my existence. It also has a mythical ring to it, to remind you that I am greater than you.

"Aside from that last comment," Kirito pondered, "I think Nebula is a good name."

Wow, thanks. Wish I approved of the name given to me, myself, and I. It seemed like such an important job.

"The sarcasm was really unneeded," Kazuto responded with a lackluster tone.

Anyways, I have to get to you to the nearby town. The narration is still going to continue even if you stand here, so you should make some progress while I continue to narrate. We went a little off track, but you should manage if you follow the river's current.

Kazuto cleared his sore throat, coughing roughly a few times, before he directed himself down the river, as the narrator suggested. When he originally accepted the idea that he had a narrator, he assumed it was more like this, where it would aid him in his trek to wherever he needed to go.

However, Kazuto didn't take more than a few steps before realizing the entire problem with his reincarnation.

"Why am I even here?"

I don't understand what you're trying to get at here. I mean, God reincarnated you, but I assume you mean something else.

"Like, what's my purpose? Am I just continuing to live out my life? Is that all?"

I could purposely lead you to your death if you want.

"No thanks, I'm fine," Kazuto quickly stated. "I've just heard about these types of situations over the internet a few times. In manga and anime, there was typically a reason as to why they were sent to another world, even if the God accidentally caused their deaths. They would always become the most insanely powerful being there or something along those lines, but I feel nothing different." He clenched his fist and opened it again, looping the motion to grasp something; anything. If he did have powers, he was not aware of it, but it was better to make sure. "Nebula? Do I have any power like that?"

Listen Kazuto, you're as generic as most protagonists come.

"You're not helping."

No, I am. Because you are generic, you are destined for something important. Hell, I'll bet my imaginary money that you'll be some hero of this world. That's how most of these situations start out. You'll even grab many companions along the way, so I wouldn't worry about the finer details, but that is ultimately decided by your actions.

In other words, be generic to get the best ending. Be the antisocial, and… something will certainly happen.

I mean, I don't know for sure, I'm not your guidance counselor or your parents. I'm not a fortune teller either. I'm a damn narrator.

"You went from really annoying to really helpful scarily fast," Kazuto croaked. He sworn there was a chill down his spine as the narrator had been lecturing him. "Is this also part of your powers, Nebula?"

We entities don't have characteristics, we only have tendencies. My tendency is belittling the main character, but I can't really belittle them if they are already doing a good job on it by themselves. It's no fun kicking a dead rat. That's just cruel at that point, not funny.

Alongside with that attitude of mine, we, as narrators, have the obligation to advance the story in anyway we can. A story won't go anywhere if the main characters is brooding the moment he drops into the forest, unless we feel like we can find a story out of that.

"So you can interfere with the events?"

In a way, but the process is a little bit different, so I rather not interfere. It's just more documents I have to fill out after I'm done here.

"That's kinda lazy of you."

There are also risks to the space time continuum that I could destroy, so…

"So, you're obviously not doing it." He was quick on the fired shot about the assumption.

Just know that something good might come your way, regardless if I interfered or not. That's just the nature of generic protagonists.

A deadpanned Kazuto sighed. "Wow, I've never been so thankful on being called generic before in my life. It truly is a stunning moment."

With those details and blatant, lazy exposition that destroyed so many rules of writing and narration, Kazuto began to make his trek towards the desired location.

He felt his throat instantly, with the soreness still being shoved down the neck. He wasn't going to be yelling, perhaps even speaking loudly, for a while unless he could get some medicine in the town. Though, his headache hasn't made an appointment yet, so it wouldn't have been the end of the world.

According to the narrator, he might have been a hero in this world. If so, there had to be a way to prove it. Was it a ceremony of some kind he needed to attend? Maybe it was going for the classical approach, with the sword in the stone? Perhaps his powers had been so strong in companison that people simply start calling him hero?

After a few minutes of walking down the river, Kazuto spotted a man splashing the same water into his face. It had been far too long, relatively, since he had interacted with a legitimate human being. Other than his parents and sister, the only other people he spoke to with his actual voice had been clerks at stores. This should also be a first step of his new life in this new world. He needed to remedy his antisocial personality.

The man looked slightly intimidating, but that may have due to the fact that his wrinkles made him look stern. However, Kazuto couldn't say for certain if the man was actually old. He had long, black hair that was tied up in a ponytail on the back, but the armour that he carried had looked like one that a knight would wear, let alone the odd red and white design. However, there had been something unsettling about the mark, rather tattoo, on his right hand. If Kazuto had to describe it, it was a coffin with a grin plastered onto it. A laughing coffin, to say the least.

He took one step, ready to introduce himself, but-

He shouldn't.

"H-Huh?"

Kazuto, hide!

Without a second thought, he did as the narrator said, dashing into the nearby bushes. The ruffles of the leaves caused the man to peer over towards his direction, but after a few seconds he returned to finishing up his face shower, and leaving towards the depths of the forest. The man made sure to cover up his hand once again with the bracer by his side.

"W-Why?" Kazuto was entirely confused on the narrator's quick decision to commend him to retreat from his attempt of interaction. "Don't scare me like that, like he was going to kill me!"

If you approached him like that, he might have actually done worst things to you. Did you literally not see the tattoo on his hand?

"That meant something?" Kazuto raised his voice ever so slightly, surprised at the meaningful representation. "Well, he's somewhere in this forest now, and I really don't want to come across him again."

No thanks, Kazuto? I literally saved your life.

"T-Thanks, I guess…"

Either way, it's up to you now. You can choose to continue with the original intention, continuing to the town, or you can follow that man and see what she's up to. I'll say this; he's part of a wanted organization. Their recent acts had been kidnapping children and woman and selling them off as slaves in the black market. If I had to guess, well less guess and more know, they're in the middle of transporting his stolen goods now.

Kazuto's eyes widened after hearing the truth about the man's appearance. To think that this world had still had slavery, compared to his world where that kind of topic had been looked down and receded in their time. However, from the media in video games and the limited manga he had seen, he knew that people in slavery needed help desperately, since they were typically forced into it. The thing that could be done to them… Kazuto shuddered in the potential events.

He gritted his teeth, He was truly in a problem mentally. He did want to run away, but that would mean that the captured slaves would be sold off to who knows where. If he went, there was a risk of him actually dying, since he would be fighting not just a human, but a wanted organization. If they were wanted, then the authorities couldn't arrest them for one reason or another. They means they had some considerable power.

So, what do you want to do, Kazuto? This is your story after all.

After a brief moment in silence, Kazuto doubtfully made his decision.

"We're going to help them. If I really am suppose to be a hero in this world, I have to start somewhere, right?" He gulped, as if he sealed his fate with that option.

Good choice and well said, Kazuto! This would make for a definitely interesting storyline! The teenager who was dropped into a new world must face against a group of wanted criminals to save the lives of the kidnapped victims! How will he be able to clash against the experienced villains with his limited knowledge of this world!? It might have been generic as hell, but something is happening, so I'm excited!

Go forth, Kazuto Kirigaya, and save those victims!

"I better not die because of this."

Highly debatable.

===== VIII =====

"Ma'am, everyone is in position."

A soldier donning red and white armour ran towards her leader, who had been standing on top of a tree, trying to get a vantage of of where the criminals could be. Her eyesight was excellent, but the organization must have been using some trick to have themselves. She couldn't feel any magical barriers, so the only conclusion was that they were using some sort of magical-infused item to help disguise themselves. It only made her life difficult, as she wondered how many of those items they had. They were certainly not cheap, but considering the amount of times they managed to slip past their investigation, they couldn't had been holding that much left. Of course, that was only a groundless wish. Criminal organizations can get their hands on anything if there was a way.

With the statement given to her by her troop, she leapt downwards, landing on her feet without any hardships.

"Does that include the assisting unit force?"

"Yes, the Alfheim had given their assistance in this mission. Galeforce have been sent onto another mission, therefore they could not come."

"As expected," the leader replied sternly. "Send the order to close the radius and pincer them. We made better time in responding to the situation, so they probably wouldn't expect us this early."

"Y-Yes, I shall do that, ma'am!" The troop saluted her leader, before running off once again.

The leader sighed heavily after the troop was nowhere to be seen. If they had an opportunity to take down a portion of this organization, this was the time to do it. They might not get another lucky chance as this one. With the geographical advantage they had, there was no reason to cover the north, since they wouldn't try to escape into a swamp. Every other direction had been covered by troops.

All she had to do was pray and trust in her allies.

"You're so serious all the time, Asuna."

The sudden voice from the above didn't surprise her. In fact, the moment she heard the voice, she lightly chuckled. Up above sitting in the tree was a girl slightly younger than her. With bright, blonde hair tied in a ponytail, and green and white clothing wrapped with a brown waistband, a single sight of her would make one cheerful due to her bright atmosphere. Matching with her stare from her clear, green eyes, the most noticeable feature about the girl had been her ears. Straight and pointy, aided with the transparent wings on her back, it was obvious to anybody that she was a fairy.

Indeed, the Alfheim unit force were all fairies of some kind, noting that their forces were one of the largest in the kingdom. They were so large that the unit force had to be divided into nine different squadrons, each with a squadron leader.

However, despite her younger age, Asuna slightly spited her as she stared at her chest, which had been considerably bigger than hers.

"Well, I kinda have to be, Leafa. We can stop the kidnapping incidents here and now if we capture these criminals. If this doesn't stop them, then this would at least halt their services, giving us some time to track them down." Asuna began walking towards the depths of the forest, as Leafa flew down to her level, walking behind her. "Did Sakuya send you, or did Yggdrasil do it?"

"Yggdrasil didn't come, unfortunately. He had an urgent meeting to attend, but he sends his best wishes. Sakuya just sent me to watch and support you. We both knew how reckless you can be in battle if it's for another person." Leafa couldn't help but to tease her friend.

"I have the best intentions, alright!?" Asuna snapped back.

"I know, I know," Leafa grinned.

"This rapier," Asuna drew her special blade, "if I can't save anyone with this rapier, being a knight means nothing. I learned to fight to protect, so I wouldn't fail to do so again."

"We should get on it, if you want to save the victims, then. Right?" Leafa asked cheekily.

"Right."

With the affirmation of their goals, the two soldiers picked up the pace, entering deeper into the forest.

===== IX =====

"Why the hell am I doing this?"

Kazuto knelt downwards behind a bush as he peered through the small gaps. There, he had saw everything. There were a total of fifteen bandits, one being the man he had saw a few minutes ago. They all had the same tattoo somewhere, and for those which Kazuto couldn't see, he assumed it was hidden on their bodies by the clothing and armour. The bandits were waiting on something, if he had to guess, probably a statement on where they were going with the goods. They were surrounding a cage being pulled by horses. He hadn't seen horses in real life before, but that wasn't the focal point in the scene.

Three adults and two children, all of had been female, had been sitting within the cage, either crying or visually depressed, as Kazuto noticed the thick, black chokers on their necks. Everytime one of the children would start crying loudly, a bandit would threatened them to shut up, with what, Kazuto could only guess again.

'Those must be the slaves,' Kazuto thought. He definitely had the position advantage, but the moment he stepped out, he would be killed. There were fifteen of them. There were no odds that could aide him in this situation. What use could he be to the victims if he just jumped out and started to be demolished by the bandits? He didn't even know what they were capable of, much less what he was capable of doing.

Any plans he had thought about would undoubtedly fail.

Throwing a rock to get the bandits distracted, and picking them off one by one would have been a viable situation; only if this had been a video game. They would definitely notice if one of them went to check the noise, then suddenly didn't return. His name hadn't been a number, so he highly doubted that he could pull that off even if it was a video game.

If he had some sort of a ranged weapon, grabbing their attention and kiting them probably was the optimal decision, although if they had any of their own range weapons, which they did in the form of a bow on two bandits, he would have been screwed. He also noticed books on some of the bandits, which Kazuto made the deduction that they knew some sort of magic, considering the correlation between books and magic in video games.

Leeroy Jenkins was definitely not an option, so he didn't even try and consider that, as much as the gamer inside of him wanted to do that so badly. The human side wanted to actually live, so…

He literally had no viable options to approach this situation.

"Yeah, I'm leaving." Kazuto carefully treaded the ground behind him, retreating rather quietly.

I kinda liked the Leeroy Jenkins option though.

"No, I'm leaving. I can't do anything about it."

Nothing is impossible, so just do it!

"I am not 1v15ing!" he whispered loudly, through raspfully. Kazuto had already made it to a point where he could stand without worrying about the bandits seeing him. When he wants to run away, he was rather proficient at it.

Fine, be a pussy. Just backtrack your footsteps, and you'll return to the river. Although, I may ask you to to raise your hands as if you're surrendering though. Also, stay still.

"W-What? Why?"

Just do it.

Abiding to the narrator's desires, he raised both hands up into the air casually, sighing at the absurd demand that it had given him. There was no possible way that the bandits had saw him, so why else would he be doing this?

"You noticed me. I'm impressive."

A stern, but feminine voice emerged from nowhere, so it should have presumingly been behind him. The bandits did actually noticed him. He was so dead. He was so dead. He was so-

"I can't believe that someone as young as you would be associating with Laughing Coffin."

Okay, maybe he wasn't as dead as he had thought he would be. If Laughing Coffin was who he had assumed had been the organization the narrator had been speaking about, he might have been able to talk his way out of this one.

I'm honestly curious on how you could actually speak your way out of this one. I gave you a slight advantage in terms of her opinion by surrendering first, so take it from there, Kazuto!

"Wait, t-this is a just misunderstanding," Kazuto stated. "I'm not part of Laughing Coffin or whatever."

"You're not?" Kazuto felt the tip of a blade along his back, chilling his spine by instinct. "Then, explain why you were in this forest. There aren't any normal reasons as to why one such as yourself would be here."

"I woke up here, without knowing how I got here. I can't remember anything else."

And Kazuto strikes hard with the amnesia card! Such a simple play, but it's super effective at the same time! With the addition of spinkling in some truth in there, this power play must work in his favour somehow! Glazing over the fact he was reincarnated, but at the same time implying it, it might have been a critical hit as well!

"Honestly, that's really suspicious." The blade was making in indent into his body now, or now least Kazuto felt it doing that.

Ooh, the Detect move was used before he launched his attack was a good counterplay! Looks like the leader of the Blood Oath Knights aren't having any of that today! Looks like Kazuto's attempted outplay was actually a misplay! The despair, the anxiety, the desperation, they could all be seen on his face with the utterance of a simple four word sentence! What will he do now!? Will he continue to plead!? With he change up his strategy, hoping for a surprising twist in his favour!?

"I don't need the commentary," Kazuto muttered against the grit of his teeth.

"Excuse me, what was that?" A stern tone draped her voice. Kazuto didn't think the weapon could go further against his body, but apparently he was wrong. He really didn't have any opportunity to mess around.

"L-Look, I'm telling the truth! I just woke up and I can't remember anything!" Kazuto yelled, to the best of his abilities due to the sore throat.

'Wait, the leader of a group of knights? Does this mean there are more of them around here?"

"I think he's telling the truth, Asuna." Another voice came from above, causing Kazuto to peer upwards. There was someone hovering with her wings right above him, baring sharp, long ears.

He would have freaked out if he hadn't been familiar with fairies in other video games. Although, fairies were typically… smaller.

"If you trust him, I suppose it's fine," Asuna said, lowering her blade, giving Kazuto room to breathe. "I trust your decision, Leafa."

The blonde girl flew downwards, landing in front of Kazuto.

As a male, Kazuto couldn't help but to… you know… Since they were so big…

"N-No! I'm not staring there!" Kazuto turned his head, blushing.

"Huh? Staring where?" Leafa asked, confused on the odd outburst. She began to jump to conclusions, realizing that he was referring the the revealed top part of her cleavage.

She wasn't the only one who jumped to a correct conclusion, as Asuna smacked him over the head for the perverted statement. "Idiot, we're trying to conduct a serious mission here." For some odd reason, the force used seemed to be bittersweet somehow, if a force could be bittersweet.

Kazuto tried to straighten himself up, recovering from the blunt blow and peering back to a hazel haired girl. If anything, she was just as old as him, if not, slightly older. He wanted to shoot back for the comment she made about him being young to be in Laughing Coffin, which he isn't, but he felt like there were better things to say instead of that. "S-Sorry, but I'm guessing you're here because you're hunting down a kidnapping situation, right?"

"You know?" Her reactions turned from disgust to surprise.

"I came across them, although they didn't see me. My narrator told me that they were dangerous."

Kazuto realized it too late.

If the narrator could perform actions, he would be leaning back into his chair, slamming his palm of his hand right into his forehead, gravely sighing after wards for a long duration.

You're. Actually. Retarded.

"Uh, narrator?" Leafa inquired, raising her eyebrow.

"Never mind that, you could inquire about that later," Asuna stated. "Where did you see them?"

"Further up north, I think." He was very thankful that Asuna was more focused than her friend.

Kazuto didn't want to just run at this point. If she was a leader of a group, there were going to be more people. Therefore, he could fight alongside without getting wrecked.

Gives you another reason to Leeroy Jenkins.

"I'm not doing a Leeroy Jenkins," Kazuto whispered.

You know you want to.

"I am not doing it for the last time!"

The two girls stared at Kazuto, before looking at each other with a confused look. They probably thought Kazuto was crazy at this point, whispering to himself and mentioning a narrator. Silently, Kazuto cried internally, knowing that this was probably true, but even so, he couldn't just run.

"Thank you… for the information," Asuna said, trying her best not to break into anything inappropriate for the occasion. She turned to Leafa. "Go alert the others, and tell them to await at my location."

Quietly, she sparked a small burst of electricity of of her hand, which surprised Kazuto, but Leafa knew what to do. That electricity had been the confirmation that magic did exist in this world, or at least magical properties. Leafa flew off, while Asuna turned and began to leave towards where Kazuto retreated from.

"You can leave towards the town in the south, it is not considerably long from here."

"No, allow me to join your fight," Kazuto exclaimed. "I can't deal with myself knowing that I could have done something to help."

Asuna stopped, surprised at the statement. "You did help with your information, so please leave this to the unit forces."

"I need to help, so please." Kazuto bowed before the girl, who scratched her head before sighing.

"Alright, but you have to follow my orders. Any mistakes could lead to someone dying, either from my group of the victims. We're dealing with an exclusive criminal organization. We don't know the limits of their capabilities."

"Right."

"I should ask for your name. My name is Asuna Yuuki. Leader of the Blood Oath Knights."

"Oh right, my name is Kirito."

Whoa, whoa whoa, whoa, whoa.

Kirito!? Did you just mash up your first and last name together!? This is hilarious! This is gold! This is killing me, oh god! you even more antisocial than I thought! And here I thought you were going to get through a conversation with a stranger without make a major mistake! Hell, looks like I was wrong!

"Shut up, Nebula. I wasn't thinking!" Kazuto gritted through his teeth again. "I can just say I misspoke and-"

Give her another reason to think you're insane? Yeah, sure! That would work out finely! Why don't you try that out, Kirito?

Kazuto stayed silent, hoping that Asuna hadn't mind his odd ramblings to what appeared to be himself. It did not seem like any of them heard the narration, so he was probably alone in this boat.

"W-Well, Kirito. You... sure are an interesting person…"

Kirito merely stared blankly at the knight in front of him.

"I'll just lead the way." With a defeated emphasis, Kazuto walked towards the camp, as Asuna followed him. Although, his footsteps held an air of depression to each impact, with each step being heavier than the previous.

"I honestly hate my life," he muttered. "Just fuck it entirely."

Author's Notes

Holy hell, I'm having fun torturing Kirito.

I mean, I'm not torturing him, what do you mean?

I am also thinking of changing the tag from humor/adventure to adventure/ parody, due to the fact that I could see some legitimate serious plotlines be built up in this fanfiction, but the humor (which I hope is working) will remain.

And so, our protagonist approaches his first real fight with two potential harem candidates. Oh yeah, there may be a harem eventually if Kirito manages to dispel his insane status from Leafa and Asuna.

For further clarification, Leafa IS NOT Suguha in this fanfiction. She's her own separate being in here, so don't assume that.

I'll see you readers next time.
