"I feel… a disturbance."
A voice loomed over a two creatures within a dark cavern.
One of the creatures had a dark-slim body, offset by the long, red mane dangling like a ponytail. His mane was tipped with black on random, extending tufts of hair, while the section being constricted by a blue orb had been black. With red accents on his face, and red claws piercing through the shadows on his feet and hands, his clear blue eyes looked upwards, as if the voice came from above; as if their god had been speaking to them. He remained sitting down on his boulder though.
"M'lord?" the creature inquired with his raspy voice. "What is it that you have sensed?"
"If you just let the boss speak, he would probably tell us!" An anger voice erupted from the creature resting a few meters away from him. "Don't interrupt him again!"
It had been easy for the dark Pokemon to forget about his collegue. If one wasn't attentive, they would easily mistaken him for a pile of rocks. Having four small rocks holding up his main body, his jagged edges made him dangerous. His red stones emerging from the feet and body only made the stare from his carved eyes more intimidating.
"The last time I remember, our lord was my master, not you, Giolith."
The heavy steps made their way over to the dark Pokemon. "What was that, punk!? Mind I remind you who is the senior commander, Zero!?"
"Experience does not equal to strength."
"Say that to my face, you punk!"
"Would you two knock it off? We are in the presence of our master. Show some respect."
A feminine voice echoed while walking inwards, as the long and white bodied creature revealed herself. With a small head, her narrow red eyes glared at her supposed allies. The immaturity from them made her long, yellow tipped whiskers flare upwards, while she crossed her long arms, which were mainly fur tipped with a purple, and splitted at its end. Along the waist, there was a single strike of purple fur. She also had purple fur along the bottom part of her body, and a tail stuck out, with a similar pattern to her arms.
"Enshi. You have returned," Zero blankly stated. "How are the three swordsman?"
"They are still being locked down. However, there has been an issue with their apprentice. Our master may already know this."
The voice echoed from nothingness once again. "You may speak in detail."
"As I will, master." After a brief bowing gesture to the center of the cavern clearing, she turned to her companions. "There had been a breach in their apprentice's containment."
"I highly doubt that there was somebody who broke through both the security system and the sealed door," Giolith answered arrogantly. "They were formed by our boss after all!"
"After six thousand years," Zero added in, "I wouldn't put it passed them if they were able to break through the lowest effort prison. Our lord only sealed him off as a leverage, unlike the other three. Their imprisonments have meaning. If it were any one of the others, then we would have a severe problem." Zero gazed off to the distance. "The Night of Remnant. After ten thousand years of waiting in the shadows, we will finally have another chance."
"I don't think that their apprentice can do anything at this point!" Giolith yelled. "Hell, I don't think he'll even remember anything after what you had put him through! He couldn't even use his sword properly! He doesn't even stand a chance, even if he wanted to! My only regret was not seeing the smackdown for myself!"
"However, is it right to allow him to run free?"
The voice from above spoke once again, to answer his follower's question. "I desire for him to be locked up… We must not underestimate his potential. Locate where he is, and take as many troops as you want. There is a never ending amount to them after all. You may kill him this time around, as he is no longer a hostage."
"It has been a while since we fought the Pokemon of the outside. I wonder if they had become stronger, being less dependant on their heroes," Enshi laughed behind her arms.
"Well, if we get to mess things up, then I'm all for it!" Goliath stomped heavily into the ground in amusement.
"Search and destroy," Zero snickered, as he stood up straight. "How did you know it was my favourite game?"

A gentle breeze endorsed the calmness and silence of the three Pokemon, with Lukas in the front, while Rizor was at the back. The pathway wasn't anything to mention about; it was a typical dusty road that was carved out of the construction team, but since it was interrupting a forest, they decided to leave the road as the natural brown dirt.
Keld had been walking in between the two adventurers, with no signs of resistance. They had travelled to a nearby camp made from other adventurers, with Lukas filling in the report on the 'Frost Formed Cavern', as he had called it. The job was done easier due to the badge that allowed instantly teleportations back to the entrance of the dungeon. However, the limited conditions for the badge to activate had not been complied when they were outside, so teleporting back to the guild hall had been impossible without someone who knew the skill, Teleport. Even then, only the user would teleport a considerably large range.
Therefore, the three Pokemon had been forced to walk, which the two adventurers were used to. They were surprised to see that their new companion had no problems doing so, as most escort missions had someone complaining about the trek most of the time.
"So, what's this adventurer's guild? Is it some sort of team of heroes? It sounds like a team of heroes," Keld asked.
"In a way, you may refer it as that idea," Lukas answered.
"In a way?"
"Sometimes, the adventurer's guild do trivial tasks," Rizor chipped into the answer. He scratched his head, trying to find the correct words to say. "The reason why we came to that dungeon was a mission assigned by the guild master, not the citizens. We're adventurers, not saviors. It's just sometimes the gap is unrecognizable."
"Rizor is correct," Lukas stated. "We do not directly help citizens, we help their request. However, we only save those if the situation is dire, so we are not absolutely heartless."
"Wait, but you said in the cavern that it was your job to help them," Keld inquired.
"In our eyes, it is, however I could list a few Pokemon that would think otherwise."
"O-Oh…" Keld hesitated in his words. "You two are different then those guys. You two are heroes, right?"
"I guess you can call us that, since we are heroes to certain citizens," Rizor boasted.
"However, anything relatively minor, such as a robbery, should be referred to the police, as their services are more technical than ours."
"The… police?" Keld chucked his head to the side, as if a giant question mark rose out of his skull.
"You really don't know anything, kid," Rizor chuckled.
"Hey, I'm not a kid!" Keld immediately turned his hooves and aimed his horn at Rizor, who merely stopped in surprise. "I could take you on, right now! I'll show you that I'm not a kid!"
"Oh?" Rizor punched his palm, igniting it on fire. "You sure about that, kid?"
"You did it again! I'll beat you, right here, right now!"
A blunt hit landed on both of their heads, with Keld in a staggering surprise, while Rizor half-knowingly expected such an ending to their little quibble. Lukas, on the other hand, had disengaged his bone staff and turned back to their destination direction. He was extremely quick in the execution of what he did, leaving Keld in a confused state, seeing that Rizor suffered from the same attack.
"May I advise that fighting among a group is not allowed. That was simply a warning, Keld. Do not force my hand again." Lukas continued walking forwards, as if he hadn't threatened the pale creature.
Rizor merely walked to Keld's side, patted him on his spine. "We'll have that fight someday, and I'll show you that you would get dumpstered against me."
"I don't know what 'dumpstered' means, but I feel like you're taking me way too lightly." Rizor laughed wholeheartedly, pushing Keld forwards, who reluctantly walked in front of Rizor.
"Can someone request a meeting with the guild master? Team Ignition has returned and has a report for her."
The guild hall had been rowdy as ever, with the plentiful of members discussing about their mission, preparing themselves, or simply hanging out until they were needed. This was the life of an adventurer, but for many of them, it was a one full of amusements. Walking down the stairs to the main chamber, they were met with its over-protective guardian, although he wouldn't admit it.
"Lukas, Rizor, nice to see your return." A small bird hopped over towards the three Pokemon. With a musical note shaped as his head, and a colourful body to be added, it was difficult to avoid this Chatot. "I'll get you a meeting right- wait, who's this?" The bird narrowed his eyes onto the unknown Pokemon.
"Perap, this is Keld. We came across him during our expedition, and he is a part of our report," Rizor answered. "Say hi, kid!"
Keld puffed his cheeks and grudgingly responded to Rizor's demands. "Hello, it's nice to meet you." The sound could be heard just through the grit of his teeth.
"What rude manners, to grit your teeth at someone you've just met," Perap sighed. Turning to Lukas, his eyes remained narrow. "So we know his name. Do you know what species he is?"
Placing a paw on his chest, he bowed forwards. "My apologies, Perap. I do not have the knowledge to answer that. I was hoping that you may have known. Keld does not remember his own species, for he has amnesia." He straightened his back after his response.
Perap shook his head. "No, I haven't seen a Pokemon like him. Sorry about that. Anyways, I'll get you the meeting with Pukurin as soon as possible."
"Thank you. That would be ideal."
"So, what? Do we just wait?"
"We wait, until we are called," Lukas answered, peering backwards. Lukas continued walking deeper into the chamber, leaving Keld and Rizor at the bottom of the stairs.
Sitting down on the ground, Keld sighed and aimlessly looked around the room. There was more confusion being produced by the others than him. They didn't know who he was after all. There was a perplexed expression on his face, and Rizor came to his side.
"See anybody you like?"
"W-What!? N-No!" Keld immediately blushed, stuttering at the rather odd question. "I-I don't even know half of these species, let alone who they are!"
"It was just a joke, kid! Lighten up!"
"It's just-" Keld turned his flustered gaze to the ground in front of him, hoping that it would help with the blush. "It's just that seeing all of these Pokemon, whether I know their species or not, it just makes me feel like I forgetting some really important. Something I shouldn't be forgetting in the first place."
"Well, we got all the time in the world for you to remember. It doesn't matter if you can remind yourself of the past now or not. If you choose to allow it, you're in our hands. We'll give you as much time as you need, kid."
"T-Thanks-"
"As long as you do your part in our extra difficult expeditions, of course."
"H-Huh!?"
"I'm kidding! I'm kidding!"
"Which part!?"
Rizor laughed, but in the middle of his enjoyment, he widened his eyes. He had remembered something that should be taken care of while Lukas is doing whatever he was doing. Bishar was in the room as well, so it would be rather smart to take the conversation over to his good friend.
Having a round, metal head, a blade emerged down the vertical center. His face was yellow, having a black outline, somewhat obscuring his face. With red shoulders, as if they were armour, his black arms extended out with retractable blades along his silver forearm. Encircling his torso were two more blades, with red thighs directly underneath. His hooves were also made out of steel, splitting down the middle.
"Give me a second, kid. Wait, no; come with me." Rizor nudged Keld to follow the lizard's footsteps, which he did, sensing a serious tone in his voice. Keld must have thought that Rizor needed to do something important, so the 'kid' referral had been looked over. Albeit, Keld began to stop caring once Rizor had oversaturated the word.
"Bishar! How's my favourite Bisharp in the guild!?"
"I'm the only Bisharp in the guild," answered a voice with a tint of metallic speech attached to it. He turned his head towards his friend, keeping his body towards the request board, which had, as the name implied, the civilian or local requests that adventurers could do on their downtime. "I see you've found a new friend there."
"Yeah, found the kid inside of an ice crystal!"
"There's a story one does not hear every day." Interested, Bishar turned his body towards the two Pokemon.
"I'll save it for another day though." Rizor, wanting to speak of it in great detail, needed to complete what he intended to do. "I need some information about blades first. Seeing that you're a blade freak, can you help?"
"I don't see why I shouldn't help my friend, although I would refrain on calling me a blade freak."
"Alright, here's the question." Disregarding the request, Rizor cleared his throat, as if he were going to announce something groundbreaking. "What does a blade in a stone signify? Wouldn't that null the use of it?"
"A blade in a stone?" Bishar brought his silver palm to his chin, quickly thinking about what Rizor had said. "I believe it's less for battle, and more of a prophetic symbol."
"Prophetic symbol?" Keld asked, curious to whatever they were talking about.
"A blade stuck inside a stone dates back as history draws, even if we don't see such a action these days. They represent the awaiting of the one that would bring the Pokemon to salvation." Rizor scratched his head in confusion. "Think of it like the Aegislashian dynasty."
"No, I get it." Rizor's head turned to Keld. "I just don't understand why it would be on the door sealing the kid away."
"Perhaps he is a the one described?"
"Then why was he imprisoned within? Wouldn't that be counterintuitive?" Bishar had been using his brain in correlation to Rizor, but an answer would not arise from their thoughts.
"I can't help you there. Sorry."
"Well, you can't know the answer to everything I guess. I'll work with what we have." Feeling a tap on his shoulder, he peered backwards to see Lukas again.
"The guild master had shifted everything for our meeting to take place in a few minutes. She is awaiting for our report, as she is apparently eagerly anticipating the details. Come, we must prepare."
Turning back to Bishar, he threw out a fist in front of him, which Bishar quickly responded to with his own gesture. Their hands collided.
"I'll see you later, Bishar."
"Likewise."
Keld had been staring off at other Pokemon, watching them intently. Even without the short conversation from Rizor and Bishar, it felt like everyone had been enjoying themselves. The stress hadn't been felt in the air, but he had another question arise inside. Why was he worried about stress in the first place?
"Keld, we're going!"
Keld snapped out of his trance to Rizor's voice. "C-Coming!"
The guild leader's chamber was sectioned off from the rest of the guild hall. One would need to pass through a lengthy hallway to be able to come into the respected area. No one really complained about the awkward distance, at least, not in front of Perap. The senior guild members mentioned something about a mistake in the the diagrams when this location was first created, causing the construction team to extend the length to an absurd distance. However, it was simply a theory, as no one could ever truly explain the cause or reason.
Their guild leader didn't mind the oddity though. She would happily traverse the hallway everyday countless times. To be fair, no one ever saw the guild leader without anything less than a smirk on her face.
With Lukas, Rizor, and Keld finally coming close to the opposite end of the hallway, Lukas pushed the curtains with the symbol of their guild on it. It waved with a a similar badge that Lukas had been holding in the dungeon.
"Guild master, we have arrived."
Upon pushing the curtains out of their vision, they walked in and stood a few metres before the center point in a horizontal line. Keld merely copied what the other two members had done, scampering to where he thought he should have been. In front of them had been a desk filled with paperwork. Keld laid his eyes on a chair that had been facing away from them. Presumingly, the guild leader had been sitting there, and with a swift twist, Keld finally saw her face.
To put it simply, she was a pink blob, save the white underbelly, with stubby arms and legs. Her ears had been long and a tuft of fur had been in between. Her blue eyes didn't even bother to blink as she stared intensely at the three Pokemon. Keld didn't want to be rude, but it didn't seem like she was the guild leader at all. Then again, her stare alone was eerily terrifying, so it may have been understandable.
"Lukas! Rizor! It's always so great to see you two again!"
"The gesture is returned, guild master," Lukas immediately responded.
"You're still the same Pukurin as always," Rizor smiled.
"Um… good day?" Keld opened up, somewhat lost at the simple interaction.
"I've heard a bit from Perap," Pukurin said while opening some documents, "so why don't you begin the report? Frost Formed Cavern, I hear it?"
"I shall begin." Taking a step forwards, Lukas brought his paws behind his back and started to recite the events in detail.
He had mentioned the cavern with the gigantic sealed door, and frozen chamber that it rested in. He had noted the security monsters that had attempted to kill them, adding in that they were formed in an unaccountable state, meaning that there was no relation between the structures of the monsters and real species. Finally, he spoke about how they broke through the sealed door, and found Keld within an ice crystal.
"I see, I see." Pukurin viciously nodded. "And poor Keld has lost his memories, right?"
"That is correct, guild master."
"What do you intend on doing with Keld?"
"That is still left undecided," Lukas answered.
"Hold on, I have a decision," Keld interjected. Walking up to the center of the room, he stared at Pukurin, after getting the chills shakened off first. "I want to join this adventurer's guild, or however you say it."
"Join this adventurer's guild?" Pukurin asked in a high tone, and begun to laugh. However, the two members knew it wasn't a laughter of mockery. "May I hear the reason to your sudden application? You hardly know anything about yourself, so don't you want to find your memories instead of putting yourself into services?"
"I do, and that's why I'm joining. When I looked at all guild members, I felt something. I don't know what it was, but there was a sense of familiarity in the air." Keld nervously coughed to clear his throat, suddenly explaining himself to someone of an apparent high status. "If I become an adventurer, I may learn something new about myself, especially if I go on expeditions."
"Approve!" Pukurin immediately pointed up to the sky with enthusiasm. "There's nothing I love more than a heartfelt reason! Any objections, you two!?" Her stubby arms pointed downwards to the two members, dancing back and forth.
"I have none, for it is Keld's decision. I am certain that he has thought this through," Lukas smirked, breaking out of his stoic expression.
"A new member is always fun to have! Why on hell would I be against it?!" Rizor shouted with eagerness. After his shout, he turned to Keld. "Hope you're ready for a world of adventure, kid!"
"He does need to pass the examination first, Rizor. Do not forget that," Lukas casually added in.
"W-Wait," Keld stuttered, freezing in place, "e-examination?"

Author's Notes
Our Keld has a surprise in store for him (potentially in more ways than one).
Luckily, it hasn't been a month since the last chapter, so I'm making considerable time. I only make these chapters on my downtime, whenever I'm bored of writing my main project. I just finished up Arc One over there, so I felt like I could update this one. Although, this chapter was shorter than I initially wanted it to be.
Thank you to those who have followed and favorited this story!
By the way, I don't really spell out what species of Pokemon each one is, and I don't intend to in the future. Use the description hints and the names I've given them if you want to find out who they are.
See you for the next chapter, hopefully within a month.
