Emma took a deep breath before walking into the Degrassi High and she looked around for Alex or Amy.. She wasn't big fans of them, but since she went to Lakehurst, she knew the WORST people. These girls use to hangout with the guys at her school, and Alex wasn't SO bad but Amy had her moments.

Emma looked down at the paper in her hands that had her classes written down and her locker number. She wore fitted blue jeans and her famous white tank top. Nothing special. There was no one to impress..

Her breath stopped in her throat. OR NOT.

There was that guy from Jay and Amy's trailer park...Sean? Or whatever his name was. She had no idea he went here. My god he looked even better today if possible. He wore jeans and a white wife beater that had all the girls walking past giggling, his biceps showing off. As he opened his locker, he sighed and ran his finger through his grown out hair and clenched his well shaped jaw. He must really hate school..

#117 was right next to him. Shit. He was beside her locker. She slowly walked over and put her head down, starting to open her locker.

Sean looked over and back quickly for his breath to cave in his lungs, he slowly smiled seeing she tried her combination again but it wouldn't would. He cleared his throat, got his breath back and stated, "You have to hit it" he confirms and her soft brown eyes looked over to him and she tried not to smile, he smirked a little and hit it with his fist lightly (For her, she'd probably have to use all her might). "Locker was mine two years ago."

"Were you the one who broke it?" she taunted teasingly, smiling thankfully though as she opened it up and threw her bags and book in.

Sean got lost in a trance, staring as her body leaned up to put some things on her top shelf. He shook his head, remembering she had asked him something. Shit, what'd she ask? His eyes rolled at himself.. clearly he had a small crush on this girl he didn't even know but she seemed so damn perfect. He got lost again when he watched her tuck her hair behind her ears. . that long blonde hair, god he wanted to touch it-

The bell cut snapped Sean out of it and Emma winced, closing her locker. She hadn't even found her class! "Ah, I got to go. Bye!" she rushed off and he blinked, looking around as students ran back and forth, running for class like she did.

1) Sean never cared about class but 2) it wasn't the reason why he wasn't going. 3) Did he just make a complete idiot of himself? He'd never acted this stupid infront of a girl before.

"I'm Sean, nice to meet you." he taunted himself, knowing he should of said that to her. Hopefully he saw her again..

"It's not healthy talking to yourself" a voice teased him and joins him at his locker. Miss Manny Santos. Sean grinned happily to his longest childhood friend.. she had QUITE the reputation at school and she was one of the hottest girls in this school and don't get Sean wrong, he knew she was attractive but he just never felt that way for her. He'd seen her since she wore piggy tails and snorted when she laughed, and she saw him since he use to wear jean jackets at the age of 12. They were like brother and sister..

He happily grinned and shook his head "Manny," she hugged him tight, and moved back.

"I'm glad you're back." she insisted seriously.

"How's Craig?" Sean asked and grabbed his books for next class.

"I don't know…if you call him and actually get him to answer…ask him" she huffs, rolling her eyes. "I'm single. New year, new me."

"Okay there, Paige Michealchuck." joked Sean, earning a slap to the arm. He knew Manny hated that Queen B!

Meanwhile, Emma had almost entered class when she felt the need to look back. This Sean Cameron had her crushing a little bit. It couldn't get serious though, plus (Emma snickered) who said he'd want her? He clearly had all the girls all over him. She eyed the pretty girl with long brown hair talking to him, and giggling. She felt her heart fell and tried to ignore it as she entered class.

She looked around, wondering where to sit when a guy raised his hand and nodded to the chair next to him, "You must be new. Sit here."

He seemed harmless, and she smiled appreciatively. "Emma." she introduced herself, opening her books up.

"Peter Stone." he grinned.

(((((((*******))))))

Science was next, and Emma sat sighed. This day was so exhausting! She had new friends, new classes, new projects already and last night she barely had ANY sleep.

She hadn't even noticed herself bump right into someone and gasped, "I'm so sorry!" she looked up, seeing it was the girl she had seen giggling with Sean earlier. She pierced her lips together tightly embarrassed.

Manny laughed and shook her head, "It's okay! No sweat." she waved it off.

Emma eyed her and the brunette glanced back at her seat and to Emma. Manny never introduced herself to new people, or ever felt connections but she did with this girl. "Come sit with us." she pointed to her table.

Emma glanced to who 'us' was. Did she mean Sean? Was she Sean's girl friend? But there at the table sat two looked, well honestly, two guys who looked like nerds. One had short brown hair and his height was too, short. He was a little chubby. His friend was more tall and lean but had a goofy grin that made Emma laugh a bit.

"Sure." she shrugged, why not?

And during that class, Emma swore she met her long lost best friends. Toby was smart, JT was funny, and Manny was a catch. The two girls couldn't stop giggling the way through and Manny had warned Emma about the people she had met today...including Peter Stone

"Who else have you met?" Manny asked.

"Well I've known Jay and Alex awhile..."

"Ugh," Manny rolled her eyes but giggled with Emma, "Sorry. They use to act like they owned this school a few years ago, I heard he's back this year. He might be good looking and all but he is scum."

"I don't know, people change." Emma assured.

Manny tilted her head at Emma and declared, "You are way too nice for Degrassi." they entered their next class together, Immersion. "anyways. You are going to LOVE this class." she sat at a computer with Emma sitting down next to her. "Snake- Erm, Mr Simpson, is the best teacher!"

Emma smiled knowingly, "That's my Dad."

Manny's eyes widened, "how did I not know he had a daughter!? He's like, my favorite uncle whose not AT ALL related to me."

Emma laughed and explained, "Who wants to go to the same school as their Dad? I went to Lakehurst and he taught here, but I'm more grown up and mature about it. I also heard he was a somewhat legend here.." she drifted off, shocked her nerd of a father was 'cool' at Degrassi.

The one and only stood large and tall infront of his classroom, "Ah my favorite people to torture!" he joked. He loved the seniors because they were also his freshmen when he had FIRST started teaching at Degrassi. He adored these kids.. "Talk amongst yourselves, we got 5 more minutes!"

The class did so, happily. That's when Emma tried to listen to what Manny was going on about but Sean had come in. He hadn't noticed her yet but smiled when Snake had turned and gasped, clenching his heart. "I heard he was back!"

Emma raised an eyebrow. Snake LIKED Sean? Wasn't he some known bad boy here at Degrassi? She couldn't help but tried to hide her smile at how happy they were to see another.

"Hey Mr S." chuckled Sean, nodding in agreement as Snake stood infront and slapped his hand on Sean's shoulder before he crossed his arms

"What made you come back?"

"I don't know.. felt like I needed to." shrugged Sean.

Snake crookedly grinned and shrugged back, "Well, least you did. Glad you back. Take your seat!"

Sean nodded and did so. Emma's eyes followed him and unknowingly to her, Manny caught her looking and she bit her lip from smiling too hard. "Oh! Ofcourse."

Emma snapped out of it, looking to Manny and her eyes widened. OH god!

"don't worry." smirked Manny, glancing at Sean and back to Emma, "You can't help it. All the girls can't..those biceps are hypnotizing let alone those baby blues"

"I wasn't-" Emma's heart was pounding.

"he doesn't seem your type though," Manny admitted, eyeing Emma, "You seem the 'good boy' type.. ever even had a bad boy before?" she glanced at Sean and tilted her head, "I don't think Sean's ever even been with a good girl." she blushed herself, eyeing between Sean and Emma. They'd make a HOT couple.. but like she said, Sean usually dated girls like Ellie..or Amy...ugh. It's like he thought he didn't deserve a girl with class or something.

The class started, but Manny boredly sat there, couldn't focus...that's when she caught Sean see Emma too in his class. They must of known another cause he had stared too before looking down and Manny saw his eyebrows furrow as he tried to focus hard on his computer but his eyes kept sneaking glances at Emma all way through class. Manny couldn't believe it! She'd never seen Sean act like that. Was he...blushing?

She liked Emma already, true best friend potential.. plus the girl was pretty as hell! She'd make a great side kick at parties. But Manny vowed then and there that she was going to help Sean get this girl.

She could be a real good thing for him.

(********))

By the end of the day, Emma stopped at her locker trying to push away her smile when he stood there too and glanced back at her. He opened his locker and grinned, "I see you're already a popular one here in, Degrassi."

"I wouldn't say popular," Emma corrected, shoving her books inside and joked, "Maybe just the girl nobody will shut up about. I hate being the new girl." she sighed honestly.

Sean eyed her. She didn't 'feel' new, you know? He looked at her, and he felt like he knew her..or at least should. "you fit in easily." he smirked a bit, "I see you even made Manny's good list which is hard to do."

Emma admitted, "I like her." she narrowed her eyes at him, "She your girl friend?"

Sean had to laugh and closed his locker, "Hell no. She's just Manny. Close friend." he then cleared his throat, eyeing her. Did she care? Was she asking if he was dating anyone? "So you met the whole cheerleading pack because of Manny." he taunted, "Going to turn into one of them?"
Emma tried not to blush, "I use to be one.. not sure if it's my thing anymore though."Sean couldn't believe it, he was in like with a girl who use to be a CHEERLEADER. What was this girl doing to him? What sort of spell was he under.."They asked me to though, said they had an 'opening' on the squad. Darcy and Manny really wanted me to join." she told him.

"Ah, Darcy." he rolled his eyes to the name. "That means you're probably friends with Chantel, Hazel, all of them..."

"Is that bad?" she asks closing her locker, laughing softly.

"Well it's going to be hard to get you alone" Sean jokes and Emma tried not to feel so weak in the knees. Did he really just say that? He clearly had a wear with words..

"Emma!" came Jay's bark, making the two jump and turn as Emma scowled at Jay.

"What?" she snapped.

Sean eyed Jay and back to Emma, wondering if there was a 'thing' there? Jay didn't say anything, so what was the harm with shameless flirting? Besides, Jay said he was single. Shit. Was Emma even single!?

"We're going to your place right?" he asked.

Manny had come over, glancing around at everybody and to Emma, "Thought we were going to hang out?" she asked Emma.

Emma's mouth parted and tried to smile, "We can all..hangout?" she suggested, looking slowly at Sean and really wanting mostly to get to know him. What was this power he had over her? She never felt like such puddy in someone elses hands.

"cool." Jay shrugged like no big deal, and nodded to Sean, "I'll drive them. Follow me." he ordered, walking out and Sean followed to go to his motorcycle out front.

The girls held back for a little, and Darcy had snuck up behind him, "Really Manny? You're going to go hang out with them?" she looked at Emma and warned, "They're bad news."

Emma shifted uncomfortable as Manny snapped, "I've know Sean longer than I can remember, he's a great guy minus what everyone thinks and feel afraid of him for no reason. Jay though?.." she drifted off, looking wearily at Emma, "He does seem like trouble.." Awfully good looking, but trouble. The best looking guys always were.

"Well," Emma chimed in, "I've known Jay awhile and he too is a good guy underneath the rough exterior." she looked back at Darcy before walking off.

Manny raised her eyebrows impressed before following Emma and leaving Darcy in the dust.
