Koga and his band of bodyguards sat in the shadows. Koga looked around the room as all the dance floor began to get crowded. Several of the women, both sober and not, in the club stopped by his table to flaunt themselves. He was the second biggest mob boss in Japan. Every women wanted to be with him but he only had eyes for one women. Kagome was the only women who caught his eye.

Her father, Mr. Higurashi, was a great man. Koga idolized the man. He didn't mind his mob being under Mr. Higurashis. Mr. Higurashi deserved to be on top. But when it came to Kagome he had issues. Other mob bosses gave their daughters to whoever they thought deserved them. Mr. Higurashi however was going to let Kagome choose for herself.

Koga wasn't mad though. Mr. Higurashi had smiled and told Koga to look somewhere else. Kagome was in control of her life and she wasn't even looking for a man. And even if she were looking she wouldn't choose him.

Koga had smiled as his idol got back in his car and left. Koga stayed in the clearing for at least thirty minutes to gather his thoughts before he got back in his car. Koga knew he had to prove his idol wrong and he was going to do it.

Koga reached for the pocket he had inside his suit jacket. He smiled as he pictured the look on Kagomes face when she opened this box.

. . . .

Everything was now a big blur. Kagome had never wanted to plan her father's funeral and she had stopped paying attention to what was going on around her right before she walked into the funeral home. Her mother made all the plans and afterward Sesshomaru took her back home. Kagome wanted to be with her mother but she also had to go to the club.

"Sesshomaru I need to clean out my father's office. Take me to Hideout."

Sesshomaru nodded as her mother got out of the car.

"Mom call Sota. He needs to be here too."

Her mother nodded and shut the car door. Kagome could see the unease in Sesshomarus eyes as he pulled back out of the driveway.

"I know I shouldn't have Sota here. But I can't leave her alone. I can have Jakotsu come by and keep an eye on him."

Sesshomaru smirked. Sota had moved out because Jakotsu was gay and had taken a liking to him. Kagome wanted to make sure her brother was as uncomfortable as possible. Sota was a hotheaded boy who wanted to take over his father's spot. He wasn't going to like the fact that their father was giving everything to her.

"My father loved Hideout Sesshomaru. I just hope I can take care of it like he did."

Kagome let out a sigh as Sesshomaru came to a stop in front of the club. Usually if someone gets murdered cops would be flooding the streets looking for evidence. But her father had the cops in his back pocket. They let the mob handle its own affairs.

Kagome could tell the club was packed even before she walked in the door. She was going to be facing a club full of people and she had no idea how she was going to do it. She took a deep breath as Sesshomaru put a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm right behind you ok?"

Kagome nodded and he opened the door. As soon as Kagome stepped inside Inuyasha, one of the bouncers, and Sango, the bartender, looked right at her. They knew why she was here. She made her way to the D.J table on the stage in the middle of the dance floor. She was going to tell everyone in the club at once. When she arrived at the D.J table the "Music Master" Miroku handed her a microphone and stopped the music.

"Forgive me everyone for interrupting but I have some terrible news to share with you all."

Kagome took a deep breath as she held back her tears.

"My father was murdered."

. . . .

Koga was in total shock. He had just been with Mr. Higurashi this morning and now he was gone. He motioned for his men to get up from their table. Sesshomaru no doubt told Kagome that he was behind this. He not only had to get to her and tell her he was not responsible but he had to catch the man behind this. It was the only way he could prove his love to her and to clear his name.
