It had been a relatively normal day at the office in Gothams police quarters, and James was looking forward to finally getting home and relaxing. Well, what he called relaxing. Every night, ever since his fathers death, he scoured the files he had managed to remove from the offices files, to find this so called loon and take his revenge.

As he walked into his apartment, all you could see was paper. It littered the floor, and covered every piece of furniture, all except from a large, ornate armchair that sat in the corner. This was where James moved himself. He sat back and sighed to himself, getting ready for a long nights work. " I really need to get a social life" He chuckled to himself almost mockingly in the fashion of all of his friends, ran his fingers through his thick brown hair, and set to work.

The sun had set on Gotham, and all of the night criminals emerged from their hidey holes. Alchemy strutted smugly among the large silhouettes of the surrounding buildings, accompanied by her father. "So my little bumblebee, you finally ready to make your first sting?" She stared up at her father in awe. " Really daddy?!" He merely looked down on her, nodded his head and smiled. She then threw herself into his arms, and whispered into his ear "thank you so much". " But first I guess you'd better have your own tool." Out of the pocket of his long purple coat he pulled an emerald green handled switchblade knife, and handed it to Alchemy. Her eyes widened in awe, as she reached out for the gift. Finally, she takes it from her fathers hand, and turning it over in her own, admires the intricate pattern on the handle. She then carefully places it in the pocket of her own matching coat. Her destiny was set in stone. The card engraved on the handle, the queen of hearts.
