Chapter 2

Nathan woke up as the sun glared into his eyes. Squinting, he carelessly turned over on his stomach and buried his head into his pillow. His arms stretched themselves width wise and were at once met with silky skin. 'Skin?' thought Nathan to himself. Nathan slowly lifted his head from its resting place and gazed down at the figure curled up on the other side of the bed. Sleep quickly washed away from him as flashes from the previous night played in his head.

'I can't believe we're doing this, 'whispered Haley huskily.

Nathan pinned her against his bedroom door. His hands slithered their way up her thighs, to her waist, as her lips crashed into his. The kiss was passionate, yet hard and hungry. As their lips parted for air, Nathan slowly made his way towards Haley's breasts, kissing her neck and collarbone on the way. Nathan had forgotten how much he had liked her breasts, how full and round they were. They looked even fuller in the dress she was wearing, the cotton material corseted in a way that made them almost bulge out. Nathan's hands crept to the back of Haley's dress where they hurriedly unzipped the zipper that held it up. As her dress fell to the ground, a midnight blue lace bra and matching thong were revealed.

'You sure upgraded your lingerie since last time Miss Haley James,' said Nathan as a smirked crept onto his face.

'Shut up and kiss me,' answered Haley. She forcefully grabbed the waistband on his jeans, and pulled him into her.

Nathan smiled to himself as his memories played out. Haley James had grown up since the last time he'd been with her. She had been a shy 18 year old the summer they had finally consummated their summer fling. Haley had captivated Nathan the moment he had seen her on his first summer in Tree Hill. His parents shipped Lucas and him out to his grandparents each summer of their high school years. Haley's house neighbored his grandparents', and it wasn't long until Haley, Nathan, and Lucas became inseparable. Lucas and Haley were like two peas in a pod and returned to each other every summer with new reading suggestions for the other. Haley and Nathan, however, were complete opposites and soon it became quite obvious that opposites clearly attracted each other. Each summer, they continued their fling were it had left off the previous summer. Their last summer together had been less than ideal, and they had parted ways, until last night, when Haley James had waltzed back into his life: into his bedroom. Here she was, his Haley, sleeping peacefully next to him. He reached down and pushed back her chestnut hair gently tucking it behind her ear. She surely had changed, he thought to himself as he watched her chest rise up rhythmically. For one, her once blonde hair was now riche and dark and much shorter, although it still fell in curls. And her once svelte figure was now petite and looked almost fragile. The body he remembered was curvy and muscular. She had always been a dancer, but he had also known her as an athlete. The lack of sports must have lowered her muscle mass because the body lying next to him clearly lacked curves. No matter the changes, she was still gorgeous.

Her eyes fluttered open and Haley gracefully woke from her slumber. It wasn't long until she met the strong gaze of the blue eyes she had once so adored. It wasn't long after that that bits and pieces (the ones she could remember) flashed in front of her eyes. With a jerk, she sat upright and pulled her knees towards her chest and sunk her head in her hands. Oh no, she thought to herself, oh no no no no no. Tears quickly threatened to flood her eyes. She pressed her face even deeper into her hands. As quickly as the tears had formed, she had pushed them away and proceeded by hauling her body out of bed, bringing the crisp white sheets with her.

'Haley, what are you doing,' asked a bewildered Nathan, 'Haley!' he continued as he watched her search the room frantically for missing articles of clothing.

He quickly jolted up from bed, and slipped on a pair of boxers before marching his way across the room where Haley paced. He grabbed her shoulders firmly in hopes of steadying her frantic pace.

'Take your hands off me!' she screamed 'off!' she repeated in an even shriller tone. Her face was overtaken with emotions.

The tears she had pushed away now stung her cheeks. Haley hastily picked up the remainder of her scattered clothing and rushed towards the bedroom door. She slammed it shut as fast as she had opened it and quietly slid down until the white bed sheets flooded the floor around her.

Nathan stood perplexed on the other side of the solid oak door. Just as fast as she had reentered his life, she had just left it at an even faster rate.
