A Wolf and a Firefly - Chapter two - Captain Cookie!

"Alright, listen up squad 4. This is Yuki Fugita. She will be your seated officer from now on." Lieutenant Matsumoto grabbed the flaming red head by her shoulders, pushing her forward slightly. Yuki froze at the touch, but remained calm, though she did not like the touch. The busty woman was still one of her superiors. She felt Rangiku lean a bit on her as she bent forward. "Be nice to her ok and good luck to you Yuki." The said soulreaper could hear the excitement in her cheerful voice. Yuki took a deep breath when the the two hands stopped pressing down on her, as she was slightly relieved. Then she looked at the faces in front of her, noticing their inquiring gazes. Slowly the pale eyed girl straightened her back taking a step forward. "I'm Yuki Fugita. You can all call me Yuki, but don't use my back name. I really don't like it." The corners of her lips curled up a bit, as she kept a confident posture. She could feel their hesitation but didn't decide to react to it. "So I would like each of you to come over to me and introduce yourself." Her squad exchanged looks and few shrugged to each other. Yuki let her eyes fall on some blond guy, who had a soft stubble and quite bushy eyebrows. "You. You may go first. Come here." She tried to sound somewhat more demanding as an alpha would be, yet she did realize it would take a moment to get used to. When the guy kept standing there somewhat frozen, the redhead got a bit irritated and sighed. "Well?" She kept her gaze on him intently. He snapped out of his daze, before walking up to her. A meter away from her he stopped, bowing shortly. "I'm Yator~" "Come closer. I can't smell you well enough from over here." A bit confused by the oddness, his eyebrows furrowed and he pulled his head back slightly in wonder. "Pardon me miss Fugi- Yuki, I'm afraid I do not understand." The girl in front of him rolled her eyes and repeated herself slowly. "Come closer. I can't smell you over there." She articulated every word with quite some emphasis, treating the blonde like a fool. He nodded, his cheeks slightly flushed in awkwardness, but still he stepped towards her inching closer until he was rather close. Yuki leaned a bit towards him taking a very soft sniff. Now nervous, the guy spoke. "M-my name is... Yatora H-Hida. Nice t-to meet y-you m-miss Yuki" She moved back, imprinting his scent into her memory. "Yeah likewise. You may return now. The next person can come."

Igita looked over the faces over her new squad. They were mumbling a bit as she stood across them. Both sides were waiting for a certain white haired Captain, who was running a few minutes late. She grabbed a long lock of her black hair, twirling in with her finger. Her half closed eyes jerked open as suddenly Captain Hitsugaya appeared with a flash step. "A bit unexpected..." She thought absently as he began talking. "My apologies for the later arrival, some recruit had not been accounted for. Now all of you. This is Igita On'nanoko and your new seated officer." He turned himself a few degrees, gesturing her to come forward. "Now seeing as how there are other things in need of my attention, you will handle it from here." Igita smiled with some confidence, feeling quite ready for it, before the Captain disappeared again. Captain Hitsugaya was quite fast. She tried her best not to look around to find out where he went. The black haired did not feel like appearing too care to much. "Well... I'm Igita... I'm looking forward to working in this control squad." She looked into all the eyes that were on her. A few nerves fluttered in her stomach. She was sure everything would pack out alright, but that wouldn't make the first time easier. knowing names would. "Now I've introduced myself, or have been introduced, I would like to know who all of you are?" Igita went from stare to stare, waiting for someone to come forward. Within a matter of seconds a guy stepped forward and introduced himself, calling out his name and years of service. After that the rest followed, with Igita listening attentively. "Well that's a few names for me to learn. But that aside, I believe we have to start our schedule soon, So... what's up first?"

With a straight back and folded arms, Captain Hitsugaya stood firmly on the roof of his office as he looked over the courtyard, watching the division work. The new recruits of this year seemingly did well. He had gotten quite a few in contrast of the previous year and it was already rare for any division to get more then a handful, so he had been lucky to get eight. Still to have two fully mastered Shikai wielders within that group was truly astonishing. The Captain moved his gaze to the training field where the first one was training her squad. The redheaded soulreaper had given a lively first impression. Fresh and warm. He had felt heat literally coming from her spiritual pressure. Under a tall wide oak, standing in a grass field to east side of the training grounds, He spotted the long black hair of the second one, who seemed to be making paperwork with her own squad.

Suddenly a soft gust of wind made his Captains coat float shortly. "Phew those new guys sure were a handful, don't you think, Captain?" Matsumoto's voice ringed behind him. "Well I wouldn't know, You agreed to take them all." His tone was still straight as ever, yet a small underlining tone hinted the playfulness. The strawberry blonde smiled, a small laugh escaping her lips. "Well I won't have any paperwork for two weeks!" She sounded cheerful as ever, making Captain Hitsugaya smile. "The things you do to get away from that." He gazed down as his lieutenant babbled on some excuse and his eyes fell on some odd scene. "It seems you should go back" Rangiku made a few steps to see and understand, before leaving with a giggle, seeing as the recruits were quite frantic.

With a soft thud, Yuki leaned against the wall, enjoying the warm light of the sun which was at its highest. Her squad had left for their lunch, giving the redhead a chance to get some peace. Her squad had been somewhat resisting, the members not knowing her ways. Still she had pushed on and worked hard. She wanted this.
After enjoying the sun for some time the red headed soulreaper pushed herself of the wall, feeling refreshed. Her eyes traced over the courtyard until she found long, flowing, black hair. A smile crept onto her lips. Igita her squad was leaving as well, meaning she could have some time with her now. There were so much new impressions, scents, faces and experiences, Yuki literally couldn't wait anymore to talk to her. With a hasted pace she sprinted to her best friend until her body collided with something soft yet firm. Ass first, she landed on the ground, bouncing up slightly after impact. As she wiped the hair out of her face, she gazed up trying to see what she had ran into. The sun shone in her eyes, blocking most sight. Yuki saw the outlines of a silhouette, which somehow made a shiver run down her spine. Quickly and disturbed by a odd feeling in her stomach she crawled back onto her feet. Now she could get a good look at whoever had knocked her down. She tilted her head upwards slightly meeting two rather surprised eyes. First Yuki's features showed deep confusion before her eyes turned big and a broad smile crept on her face. "Captain Cookie!" Then everything seemed quiet.

Igita spun around when she heard a very familiar voice yell a very familiar name, that she had heard many times. There had been times Yuki had talked so much of meeting 'Captain Cookie', the black haired had dreamed of cookies in captain coats. Still when she saw Yuki, the sight was a quite unusual and weird and a whole lot of other things. With one of the happiest smiles ever and excited eyes Yuki was staring at a taller Captain. A very powerful, famous Captain.

Igita snapped out of her surprised daze and moved closer to the pair, her brain processing.

Around the same time as the black haired another Captain had lost his attention to the new scene as well. Captain Hitsugaya's eyes turned big, confused, alongside many other things, before flashstepping away

Yuki inhaled sharply as she snapped out of her petrified state. Her stomach was coiled in a lot of excitement. "C-captain cookie. You are... It is you!" She nearly jumped up and down. She would've never forgotten his long black hair and the weird white things in his hair. She had dreamed so many times of meeting him again. Yuki had really wished for it, she owed him her life. Without any further warning she lunged forward and hugged him.

Captain Kuchiki couldn't help but let his lips curl up slightly when her arms wrapped around his waist. Decades had passed since the moment he had seen her. "Little one..." He pulled his arms free, putting one around her and the other on the top of her head. He curled his fingers slightly, and he could feel how she pushed against them. He sighed at the enjoyable feeling he had, quite happy to see the girl had survived. Still Byakuya had to admit she had grown quite a bit, but she was still warm.

Igita snapped out of her daze when she felt her own Captain appear next to her and stiffened slightly. She had no idea how he would respond to this odd scenario. "Igita... you are her friend if I'm not mistaken?" She glanced sideways seeing how his eyes were focused on Yuki and the black haired Captain. "Y-yes Captain." She was a little nervous, unable to determine his reaction. "Do you have any idea, what all of this is about?" Igita relaxed her shoulders, realizing her Captain was most likely astounded by this, more then she was. "Well... Yuki did tell me once about a Captain Coo... Ku... ahha haha!" Suddenly the black haired couldn't help but laugh as it all made sense in her head. She waved her hand trying to get some more air as her laughter turned uncontrollable. She knew it probably wasn't giving anyone a very good impression, but now that it all fit together she couldn't really help it

Captain Hitsugaya was slightly startled by her sudden outburst, not having her insight. He gritted his teeth for a moment, trying to make any sense out of the situation and her reaction. "What is so funny?" He frowned when no answer but giggles and hiccups of laughter escaped her mouth. After a while her laughs turned soundless as her face turned red. It seemed she could fall any moment now. Suddenly she took a sharp intake of air, sucking as much in as she could, before taking another few. Pretty soon Igita was heaving as she tried to recover from the outburst. The short Captain stared at her with an inquiring look as her face turned red again. He sighed, guessing she could finally answer. "Are you done?" She nodded shortly before turning her gaze to Yuki, who to everyone's surprise was casually talking with Byakuya Kuchiki. "W-well Yuki always talked about some Captain C-c-c-cookie..." She spoke with a choked voice, obviously holding back laughter. "... That saved her..." She turned quiet, a small smile on her lips. Captain Hitsugaya nodded shortly, a little annoyed by the sudden outburst, looking at the redhead and the tall sixth division Captain for a moment, before he faked a cough to get his colleague's attention. "Captain Kuchiki, I believe we had an appointment." The raven haired Captain glanced sideways, making eye contact. Then he turned his attention back to Yuki, who had fallen silent, when her alpha spoke. "We will talk again soon. You may come to visit any time you wish." Captain Kuchiki went through here hair one more time before leaving with their own Captain.

Yuki stood silently with a warm smile and soft red tint her face. She was happy. Igita, let her eyes go over the surroundings, seeing many soulreapers continuing their work now. "So... That was unexpected" The taller one chuckled her words still feeling surprised. "Captain Cookie smells nice. Like mango. Do think here is mango in his hair?" A grin appeared on Igita's face. It was amusing how the redhead could blurt her thoughts out sometimes. It made her seem free.

There is so much I want to put in here. I'm very impatient sometimes. :D
