Rose's POV:

"Are you sure you have everything? All your school books and your extra sweaters for when it gets cold-"

"Hermione, the girl will be fine!" My mother and father started to bicker. They honestly act like little kids sometimes. I quickly cut them of with a cough.

"Mum, I'm fine! I promise I'll owl you if I forget anything!" I say. Honestly, my mother worries too much. Though living with me for 17 years of her life, I wouldn't blame her. I am probably the most forgetful person in our entire family. And with James and Fred, that's saying something!

"Well if you're sure, Rose." She wandered of, no doubt looking for the Longbottoms, whose youngest was going to Hogwarts this year.

I looked around the station, searching for my crazy family. I see red hair in the crowd and ready myself for the imminent comments like my Mum's from my aunts, and exasperated uncles trying to get all the trunks onto the train. Dominique's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Rosie! I haven't seen you since we got back from school. How was your trip to America!"

"It was great! New York was gorgeous. And no, Dom, there wasn't a secret floor in the Empire State Building just for wizards." Yes I had gone to America. My Mum's job took us all over the world while she was on business trips. This summer, we went to New York. Also, yes my family is weird enough to ask if there really is a secret floor in the Empire State Building.

"Rose!" Oh, yay. My family found me. Note my sarcasm. But it's not that I don't like my family, I love them. But only in small amounts. When half of your family is charging at you for a hug, you tend to get a bit tired of all your relatives pretty quick.

I flicked my shoulder lengnth hair back and searched for the Malfoys. Scorpius's trademark white hair was nowhere in sight, so I focused on my family once again.

I quickly dodged a hug from my Aunt Fluer and stuck out my tongue at Albus, who was trying to hold in his laughter. Now the Potters were here too. Hooray. I high-fived Fred and hugged Nana Molly goodbye. James was nowhere in sight, but I didn't care. All he would do is tease me and Albus. I look for Scorpius, but I don't see him yet.

When it was time to go, I practically ran onto the train. The less time spent around my crazy family, the better! As Albus, Dom, Fred, and I walked around in search of a compartment. We finally found one and promptly enlarged it so that we could actually fit in it without having to sit on the floor. Most of us had arrived by the time the train started to move. Fred, Roxanne, Albus, Lily, Molly, Lucy, Louis, Dominique, Hugo, Alice Longbottom, Augusta Longbottom, Lorcan and Lysander Scamander, and Kati Wood. Yeah, there's a lot of us!

"And now the only one we're waiting for is Scorpius." I say after doing the head count.

Scorpius's POV:

"Who's happy to see me?" I smirk. Rose turns around. She's as beautiful as ever. I almost turn weak in the knees, but I somehow manage to stay standing.

"You're finally here! Sit down!" She smiles. I sit down in the last seat open. When Rose turns around to survey the room-sized compartment, she notices that all the seats are gone. My grin grows wider, if that's possible. She turned her back to me and I got the craziest idea I've ever had.

While everybody else chatted around us, Rose started to get a bit frustrated. I reached out and tugged her onto my lap. What can I say, I'm in love with the girl! I whispered in her ear.

"Just get comfortable, love. This is a long ride." I could see her cheeks go red, and chuckled in satisfaction. I could smell her hair from here. Cinnamon. Huh, I wonder how can she smell so amazing? What if she tasted like this too? That would be grea- NO, Scorpius! Bad thoughts! Rose's voice interrupted my train of thought, thank god. Otherwise, I might have had a 'problem'.

"Scorpius, you know I could have just sat on the floor, right?" She spoke so softly I almost didn't hear her, but I did. I whispered back.

"Love, what kind of gentleman would I be if I let you sit on the floor?" In all honesty, I was just glad that she was being so civil with me. I didn't want to give that up.

"Gentleman, is that what you called yourself? Funny, I never use that word to describe you."

"Ah, but you don't know me very well do you?" I said. She shifted while laughing softly. Unfortunately, this motion along with my attraction to Rose made me give off a low groan. Thankfully only Rose heard it. Though that might not be good.

"I'm sorry Scorpius, are you hurt?"

"Far from it actually, but if you could stop squirming that might make feel a bit better." Rose caught on and her beautiful blue eyes widened. She blushed so hard that I couldn't see her freckles. At least she stopped squirming, though I don't want her to be stiff the entire ride.

"Rosie, you can relax, it's fine now." She sighed and rested her head against my chest. She soon fell asleep, and I didn't plan to wake her until we reached Hogwarts.

"You really love her, don't you Scorpius." It was Kati Wood who spoke to me in a low whisper, so not to disturb Rose. I checked around us to make sure no one heard what she had said. Everyone was either asleep or close to it. I furtively looked back at Kati to see if she still wanted an answer. She was still looking at me with a stern expression. Oh, God I hate this conversation.

"Yes. I do." I told her. You could hear the sorrow in my voice.

"Why?" I gave Kati a look that plainly says 'do we have to have this conversation now?'

"Fine. But don't expect me to give up on this." Kati has been a friend of mine for a while, and I trust her with things I can't tell Albus or Rose. I look down at the sleeping girl lying on my chest. The only thing I can think right now is: this is going to be fucking awesome year!
