It has been twenty years since the end of the last war, and in the former city of Tokyo, now known as Cloud Capital, dark powers have taken root that will stop at nothing until the floating Storm Continent is theirs.

The only thing standing between the 'Seed of the Dark's path for dominance, are the 'Riders', mysterious avatars whose powers have yet to awaken!

Chapter two: Blood is always thicker then Water

"Chief he came back again" came the buzz over the intercom, the Chief of Police sighing in exasperation at his receptionist's warning even as he reached for the intercom button

"Send him in". he ordered resignedly, not scan seconds before the door to his office slammed open and a tall man of man Mixed-Mexican descent strode in, dressed in a torn black t-shirt and jeans with sunglasses in the pocket and a blood-red scarf that didn't quite cover the choker chain hanging from his neck.

"Well now,Alex." the chief murmured, forcing himself to remain seated despite the shock even as he glanced up at the incensed intruder with enforced calm "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

"Can it shit stain!" the man, Alex, snapped, slamming the palms of both hands onto the chief's desk, scattering the papers, cups and other oddities that covered it from the force "You promised me that if I helped you out you'd wipe my slate clean. So why is it when I come over to check if you kept your word security tried to keep me out?"

At 6ft2, Alex easily towered over the chief, his athletic build giving him the air of a hunter, a stark contrast to the chief, who had been sporting a 'spare-tire' even before he'd managed to claw his way into his current position, and hadn't taken many steps to correct it since.

What truly stood out about the younger man, however was his eyes, red and slit-pupiled like some hellish reptile, the chief shivering as the image of those red, reptilian pupils were burned into his own "A clerical oversight, nothing more."

"My ass." Alex growled, continuing to glare at the older man before stepping back, turning on his heel and marching off "I'll be checking Captain dick, if my record isn't clean by the end of today..." he smirked over his shoulder "Well, let's just say your men got off easy I only sent 'em to the hospital."

The chief said nothing as Alex left, slamming the door behind him for good measure. Waiting several minutes to be certain the younger man wasn't lurking outside the door, he reached for the intercom on his desk.

"Lucy, it's me." he muttered, his voice strangely calm despite how caged and angry he felt following that confrontation "I want you to put out a hit on that man...damned punk's nothing but trouble."

"Which man is that chief?" the receptionist asked, her bubbly voice quickly giving away to terror as the chief hurled a glass paperweight at the wall that separated them, startling her with the noise.

"Alex Black! Who the hell do you think I'm talking about you idiot?!" he roared, his temper finally snapping now that he had someone to take it out on that couldn't fight back, hanging up the intercom, cutting off the sound of her sobs as he sat back in his chair with a grief "For God's sake, why the hell is good help so hard to find?"

Meanwhile, three blocks away, we find a small group of twenty gun wielding young men and women pointing their automatic weapons at the man known as Alex Black.

"I told you never to come back here Black." one of the men yelled out, dressed in a red, long-sleeved shirt over dark blue jeans and black sneakers, the light glinting off the silver neckband around his neck, his eyes hidden by black shades "You got a death wish, or you just stupid?"

"Jessie." Alex greeted, seemingly unconcerned by the assortment of weapons aimed at his face as he turned to regard the spiky-haired man "You in charge now?"

"Don't talk to me like we're friends Black." Jessie spat, his eyes narrowing behind his specs "You may have been my friend once, and I don't know the hell you survived juvie, but it's over between us."

"If that's the way you wanna play it Jessie, be my guest." Alex countered, taking off his sunglasses even as the clicks of cocking hammers filled the air "But don't come crying to me later after I tried to be civil."

That said, he promptly crushed the glasses in his hand, the glass shards digging into the flesh of his palm, drawing blood which quickly formed a chakram that bore a startling resemblance to the metal symbol on his choker.

"Take your best shot". Alex challenged, charging in as the bullets started flying, using the chakram in his right hand to deflect two bullets coming in from the right whislt flipping over five aimed at his legs. Landing on his left hand, he launched the chakram in his right at a nearby street-lamp, where it ricocheted to shred the top of three of the guns before ricocheted again.

While this was happening, Alex had already launched off his hand in a spin twist, launching another chakram as he rose into the air even as the first returned, five of the gunmen crying out as the weapons detonated, sending them sprawling against the walls and allowing Alex to land where they'd been previously standing, right next to a stunned Jessie, whom he quickly put in a headlock, one Chakram coming up to rest against his throat even as all the remaining men aimed their guns at him.

"Put your weapons down..." Jessie muttered, his tone defeated, yet still commanding as he glared at the men "If I die none of you will live I've made sure of that."

it had been 51/2 years since the gang war that had put alex in the hospital and in juvi. in the gang war alex after getting beaten within half an inch of his life and continuing to blead out, witnessed with his own eyes the explosion of the vehicle that his own sister hid behind. the next day in the death toll the raiden corp. ceo proclamed every one that was there with a few exceptions died that day but alex still had a feeling that jun was still alive. the doctors thought the only thing that saved his life was the choker chain that alex didn't remember having.

alex had one thought in his head 'after 5 years I will find you jun(june), after all you are my sister.'

after the fight jessie took alex to a warehouse that was a storage center for the gang jessie was in charge of the was called the "bloody crow". the bloody crows are weak and took orders from more powerful gangs last time alex did anything for them. now they are one of the most powerful gangs in cloud capital whitch was know as tokyo. if alex could get his old allies back he might be able to find jun(june) that is his hope and at the moment his only chance.

the one thing jessie says before he leaves alex in the warehouse full of boxes is "if you find anything in the boxes that will make the place more comfortable and also if you need a place to stay go up the stairs on the left there should be a fridge full of stuff up there, even though I'm letting you stay here you have to earn my trust, be the way make the place unconspicuous".

alex's reply was "yeah, yeah I know where the stuff is oh and you owe me like five favors."

jessie looked at him shocked and asked "why would I owe you anything?"

"because I could've ratted you guys out at any time." said alex with a smirk under his scarf.

alex continueed on to say "and if I need somthing from the boxes I'll take it out of the five things you owe me."

"fine." said a defeated jessie.
