Chapter 1:
It was a quiet evening in Gravity Falls. Stan's portal had destroyed the town, and his brother, Stanley, had finally been revealed as the author. The two were currently catching up. Dipper smiled at his uncles, when something caught his eye. He looked at the portal warily. Then suddenly, the symbols began to light up again. He began to worry.
"Uh…Grunkle Stan?" he asked, nervously.
"What is it, Dipper. Can't you see I'm busy." Stan snapped.
"But…the portal." Dipper pointed at it. Upon looking at it, Stanley cursed silently.
"Whoa." Stan looked at the portal mystified as the portal reactivated. "But…the whole town is destroyed, how is this thing not?"
Stanley sighed sadly. "The other place I was in. There were…familiar sights. One that made a stable portal linked with this one. Now…he will come."
"Wait, who?" Mabel asked, voicing the question everyone except Stanley was asking in their heads.
"The demon…Bill…"
"Wait. You mean that isosceles triangle guy?"
"Don't take him lightly," Stanley replied. He may not seem it, but he was the most powerful demon in existence. Bill has needed the journals to open the portal to take control."
At that moment, the countdown timer in Stan's lab activated. It had reset to the time Stan used, 18 hours. The timer started to count down.
"We need help," Dipper said. "If Bill really is going to invade Gravity Falls, we need all the help we can get. Which means we need to ask…," Dipper sighed, "Gideon." Everyone except Stanley began to boo and groan.
"Ugh, can't we ask anyone else?" Stan asked.
"I wish," Dipper said. "But Gideon's the only one with any history with Bill, he has to know his plan."
"But wait," Stan said. "Bill's been here without the portal. Why does he need it now?"
"Because, that was his old self. But now, he is using a human body equipped with his old look and powers. But he would die as a human crossing dimensions," Stanley explained. He then began to the door. Stan followed.
"We should really wake Soos up," Mabel said.
"Yeah," Dipper agreed. The twins then shook Soos awake.
"Ahh dudes, that was a good nap," Soos said stretching. "So what's going on?"
"We'll fill you in on the way," Dipper said. He, Mabel, and Soos then ran out of the door.
