Third person POV

It was late summer and the Potter children along with Scorpius Malfoy and Teddy Lupin were all sitting in the living room of 12 Grimauld Place bored out of their minds as they were left at home while Mr. and Mrs. Potter along with Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy went to a charity dinner at the ministry . The invasive boredom was a problem because of James Sirius Potter. Boredom was something that was best not let James Potter ever feel, for a bored James Potter tended to become a troublesome James Potter.

It took exactly thirty minutes for James to make the decision to sneak into his Dad's office for his confiscated map. James was told many times over the years to not to enter Harry Potter's office. This was mainly because Mr. Potter was an auror, the head auror at the Ministry of Magic to be exact. Harry Potter often brought his work home to get through it in a quieter setting, (which the auror office at the Ministry certainly was not) such as his soundproof office. This was probably not the best life choice Harry could have made considering his oldest child lived up to his namesakes.

James Potter was known to be meticulous in his pranking and was very good at disappearing despite his flamboyant and loud personality. Because of this it was easy for him to sneak away from the group of kids in the living room including the ever watchful half-werewolf and metamorphmagus Teddy Lupin.

Everything in Harry's office was ordered in a way that only he understood, which meant that it was a complete mess. James looked around the chaotic room in wonder. It was the first time James had entered his father's study. He wondered why he had never thought of it before.

Seeing that the desk held only paperwork James started his search for something interesting in the cabinets that lined one wall. Much of the content in the cabinets was interesting there was a sneak scope, interesting but he had one of his own. There were various small pieces of jewelry, either protective charms or cursed objects James didn't know which and he didn't want to find out. There were also vials of different potions, books, and some Peruvian instant darkness powder; but what really caught James' eye was the golden necklace sitting innocently on the highest shelf. It was a time turner, something James only heard about in his parents stories, he found something exciting.

Teddy knew something was wrong the moment he heard the crash. Normally most of the family was smart enough to know they couldn't watch the Potter children by themselves, but Teddy didn't have any option. His girlfriend's family was out of town visiting their family in France, the Granger-Weasleys were on an educational vacation to Germany( no doubt Hermione's idea), Molly and Arthur Weasley along with Fred and his family were away visiting Charlie in Romania, and Percy and his family were in America on a "cultural experience", what ever that meant. So, Teddy was left alone to deal with the Potter children and the lone Malfoy boy.

To many that knew the Potter family it seemed that the only problem Teddy would have was James, it was widely known that he lived up to his namesakes. What was less known was that Albus and Lily Potter lived up to theirs as well. Albus could foresee and manipulate events in a way that was reminiscent of the late Hogwarts headmaster and his ability to know almost everything about the people around him was disconcerting to many. Unlike the very flashy actions of his brother you couldn't get evidence of Albus doing anything you knew he did, it gave the professors at Hogwarts a whole new headache to add to the one James gave them. Which was why they were terrified when Lily went to Hogwarts for the first time, and were pleasantly surprised by her kind and somewhat absentminded disposition. That is they were happy right up until a boy in her year made fun of her and they found out she inherited her temper and talent for hexes from both her mother and grandmother. The bottom line was that the Potter children were nothing if not smart, resourceful, and a ginormous amount of trouble. So when Teddy heard the crash he knew that he had lost track of James.

Everyone in the living room looked at each other for a second before they all scrambled towards the noise. Lily was the first to arrive closely followed by Albus and Teddy then Scorpius who was trailing behind. She began to open her mouth to shout at James when sand from the golden necklace on the floor next to the overturned cabinet began to swirl and rose up to engulf her brother. She quickly grabbed ahold of him feeling Albus do the same to her when they were all sucked into the whirling sand.
