Just another little part to see what happens to the junior G-man.

I woke up slowly and felt a tube going down my throat, choking me. My eyes snapped open and I started to fight against the unpleasant feeling of heave until two hands pushed me back on the mattress, extracting the thing out of my mouth. My sight slowly cleared and I saw a figure standing over me with a worried expression.

"Welcome back, Mister", Rossi smiled. "Seems like you made it. Even though you might turn into a vampire soon."

Reid chuckled painfully, moving hardly his hands to his hair. He laughed happily, feeling the tiredness wrapping around him again.

"How…?", he coughed

"You're strong. Stronger than anyone I've ever known. You fought hard and it's something you could call a miracle, if you'd like. You lost 3 pints and a half of blood."

"Gosh… I'm so tired", he mumbled.

"Yeah. I'll let you sleep, kid. See you tomorrow", Rossi smiled, exiting the room.

A couple of years later…

"There is something that has bothered me for a long time, now, Rossi", Reid said, absentmindedly looking at the horizon.

"And what is it?", the italian man replied, turning his eyes to look at him.

"Do you remember the time I got shot? For real, I mean, not all the time it was a leg or an arm?"

"How could I forget? What about it?"

"I never thanked you for what you did", Reid smiled, finally turning to face the older man.

"You've lost me. I don't understand", Rossi admitted.

"When I grabbed your wrist, it was my scream. I really really wanted to tell you that I wasn't dead, but I couldn't do anything. So with all the strength that I had left, I grabbed your wrist and you looked at me in the eyes for just a thousandth of second, but you didn't gave up and you called me again and again. I know that, medically, I was dead, but… I was not. I'm sure I was not. The fact that you called my name made me stay. It's what kept me alive. It's the thing that made that I'm here today to talk to you."

They kept silent for a long time until Rossi pressed his shoulder.

"I didn't wanted to let you go, either. I couldn't", he said solemnly.

"Thank you, David. I owe you."

"No. You don't. When I told you you were strong, I wasn't exaggerating. You died for almost four minutes. I'm a man of faith, Reid. But what happened that night, it's more than a miracle. It's your willpower. You fought your hardest to live and I don't know what pushed you to do it. Maybe I helped you to do it, but I don't think I saved you at all. You saved yourself", the older man assured."

Please let me know what you think about it, I know it wasn't much, but it felt like it was the right ending for it.

Love you all,
