Chapter Two 'Inferno'
"McGonagall! Open this damn door before I break it in!" Amycus screamed at the Head of Gryffindor house.
"Professor McGonagall if you don't mind" She replied, stepping in front of Amycus, and supplying the door the answer required to gain entry. She held her head high, moving into the room gracefully, Carrow following behind looking rather crestfallen.
The startled Ravenclaw's ran up the stairs, shoving past an invisible Harry and Luna, not noticing the cloaked force they repeatedly smashed into.
Carrow however, did notice the occasional shoe appearing out of nowhere, when none of the students were wearing proper shoes.
"POTTER! I know you're in here! Under that Cloak of yours, aren't you Potter? Come out you little coward!" Amycus yelled out, glaring right at Harry as if he could see straight through the Cloak.
Anger boiled up in Harry, he was determined not to stand by and let this scum insult him and hurt his friends.
"Crucio!" Harry bellowed at the Death Eater, slipping out from underneath the Cloak. His hand shook as the Amycus rose into the air, screaming in pain. With a shocking crack, Amycus slammed into the nearby cabinet, unconscious.
"Voldemort is on his way. I need time, as much as you can get me Professor. I have to look for something, Dumbledore's orders.' Harry said quickly, barely finishing his sentence before rushing out the door, Luna in tow.
McGonagall, still in shock from Harry's sudden appearance, staggered out the door after quickly binding the Carrow twins.
'Good to see you Potter!' she yells out, but Harry barely hears her over the shouting of "Potter! I swear I just saw him!" all through the corridors from various hopeful students as he runs past with Luna in a desperate dash back to the Room of Requirement.
Arriving in a breathless state, Harry and Luna explained the situation to everyone waiting. They were quickly on their way, helping to get students out of the castle and preparing the school in an attempt to hold Voldemort at bay.
Harry was soon alone, left to think about where Ravenclaw's lost diadem might be, all the while aware that Voldemort was incredibly close to the castle.
Suddenly, Ron and Hermione burst into the Room, carrying armfuls of Basilisk Fangs.
"Ron was amazing Harry! He spoke Parseltongue to get in, got it right first try! We grabbed these so when we find the Horcrux, we can destroy it" Hermione said, her voice bright with excitement.
"You talk in your sleep" Ron explained to Harry, grinning.
Harry gave them both a quick run down of the current predicament, with Voldemort closing in on the castle.
Harry gasped; it suddenly hit him like a freight train. 'Where do you hide something, so no one else can ever find it? In the Room of Requirement!'
"I've got it! I know where the diadem is!" Harry exclaimed, frustrated that he hadn't noticed it before.
"Where?" Ron and Hermione asked at the same time.
Harry focused on what he needed, and the setting around them melted away as the Room transformed. The trio were surrounded by junk, the property of thousands of people, students and teachers alike, which had been hidden over the years. Hermione scolded herself for not realising earlier.
Harry's scar burned as he felt Voldemort's rage at the shield protecting the castle. Harry pushed it aside, and visualized where he had once seen a tiara sitting inside the Room. He ran towards through Room, his companions taking different paths. Soon, Harry could see the diadem, and ran desperately through the maze towards it.
"I don't think so Potter" Draco's voice was cold, and it startled Harry. He span around on the spot, and found himself cornered by Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle.
Harry backed away from the three, trying to spot an escape.
"Looks like little Potter's stuck now!" Crabbe laughed, and Goyle soon joined in. Harry and Draco just stared at the two, rolling on the floor in fits of laughter. Draco shook off the distraction, and turned back to face Harry.
"You're not going anywhere Potter, He Who Must Not Be Named is here, ready to bring Hogwarts to it's knees, and I am going to be the one to deliver you to him" Draco sneered at Harry, his wand pointed at Harry's chest.
"I wouldn't be so sure, Malfoy" Hermione appeared behind Draco, taking care of Crabbe and Goyle in one swift motion. The pair slammed into a wall of forgotten belongings, falling into a heap. Draco barely had time to react before Ron appeared beside Hermione, helping to surround the blonde Slytherin.
"Nice try Malfoy, but I think you're the one who's not going anywhere now." Ron spoke with solidarity and confidence, taking Draco by surprise, and giving Harry the perfect opportunity to disarm him. Draco hadn't given up hope though, because he could see Crabbe rising to his feet. Crabbe collected his wand from the floor and yelled out a spell Harry had never heard before. Fire erupted form Crabbe's wand, and the walls around them caught fire with incredible speed.
