AN: This was a long time coming. That's what she said. (Sorry, that was awful.) Sorry for making you guys wait so long! This is the end of this little episode, though I might add more oneshots to this category later, but I still have this wicked long Wallflower story in progress that I'm trying to finish too, so stay tuned. I'm not done writing for this pairing, no matter what the months between my updates say! Thanks for all the encouraging reviews and favorites, it really makes me happy and motivates me to keep writing (read: start writing).

Culture notes: Koda Kumi (aka Kuu) is still a famous pop star, abingdon boys school is a great rock band whose frontman is T.M. Revolution (and they really are touring in 2010, so if you're in Japan let's go together!), and in Japan you're not supposed to talk on the phone on the train. It's not polite. PDA is also unseemly!

Kyohei shut the door behind him thirty minutes later, kicked off his shoes, and turned around to see Yuki sitting at the table with Sunako, explaining to her the finer points of J-Pop.

"Somehow I can't see you as a Kuu fan, Sunako-chan," he laughed.

"If those shoes didn't have such a cripplingly high heel, they'd make a great lethal weapon," she commented.

"…Right. Well, her music is mostly dance beats and sex appeal, and I could see you going for something with a little more substance… Oh, welcome back, Kyohei!"

"What's this little party here?" Kyohei said as he dropped his backpack into a chair.

"What's in the bag?" Yuki asked.

"Uh, just groceries."

"This late? We already ate dinner. Sunako-chan, you make Kyohei go out for groceries so late?" Yuki asked.

"Nah, we were just, um, out of stuff, you know. Anyway, you converting her into a Koda Kumi fan now?" and craned his head over it to see the magazine.

"I think Sunako-chan would like rock more than pop, though," Yuki said.

"What's the difference?" asked Sunako.

Both boys looked at her in disbelief. She stared back obliviously.

"OK, I'll admit I'm not the most up-to-date on music, and fashion, and everything else, but honestly, I don't think I'm missing out on much."

"Sunako-chan…"

"Blasphemy!" cried Kyohei, slamming his fist on the table. "I won't stand for this! If we're going to live under the same roof, Sunako, you should at least know the difference between rock and pop music!"

Sunako glared at him. "Jeez, calm down, it's not that big a—"

"Come on." Kyohei grabbed Sunako firmly by the wrist and pulled her out of the chair. "I'm gonna educate you right away."

Sunako's eyes widened, but she didn't resist.

"Woah Kyohei, why are you—" Yuki started.

"This is a crucial step in her transformation into a lady. I need to make sure this is done right."

"Do you want me to—"

"No!" Then, less forcefully, "No, I want to do h—this myself."

Yuki eyed him silently, as he dragged a surprisingly compliant Sunako across the room, then rushed back and grabbed his backpack, mumbling something about his phone being in there, and continued to drag her out of the room and up the stairs.

Ranmaru started as his phone vibrated in his back pocket. She froze too, probably thinking it was another of his girlfriends, or his mom. He chuckled to set her at ease, though it had totally killed the nice mood he had going. He was suddenly cold without his shirt on.

"Who is it?"

He could see that she wouldn't be calmed until she knew it wasn't a girlfriend or parent, so he pulled out his phone and flipped it open.

"Mail?"

Ranmaru read the message and broke out into a wide grin. "My friend's getting laid, that's all."

She grimaced. "He texted you while--?"

"No no no," he laughed. "I, uh, had a spy keep an eye out for me."

She finally smiled. "How sweet of you."

"I'm too good to my friends," Ranmaru grinned, then leaned in to kiss her neck as he whispered, "I'm even better to my lovers."

Takenaga's phone rang while he was on the train; he hastily fumbled with his pockets to silence the noise. An old lady sitting across the aisle glared at him as if he had committed murder, or worse. Wincing like he'd been slapped, Takenaga turned away to discreetly flip open his phone.

"Crazy old lady, it's just mail," muttered Noi in the seat next to him. "Who's it from?"

"Yuki." He pressed a couple buttons. Noi decided to be nosy and bent her head over the phone too, but it was upside down.

"Is something wrong?" she asked.

Takenaga smiled, then lifted her chin up with his hand and kissed her on the lips. Noi blushed crimson.

"Nope, everything's great. Come on, let's bother that old lady some more."

Noi was surprised at his uncharacteristically rebellious suggestion, but didn't complain as he put his arm around her shoulder.

Yuki snapped his phone shut with a satisfying click and put his feet up on the table—no one was around to tell him not to. He propped the magazine open in his lap and listened to abingdon boys school rock on upstairs.

The door clicked shut behind Sunako as if it had a mind of its own. Kyohei reached around her to lock it, then kissed her firmly on the lips. The door shook in the frame as her back hit against it; his lips fastened against hers, her arms wrapped around his neck…

"Wait wait wait," he murmured against her cheek when they came up for air. "I'm supposed to be educating you, let me put some music on…"

Sunako exhaled forcefully. "You really think Yuki fell for that?"

His eyes shifted from side to side, obviously just considering this possibility now, but shrugged. "At least it'll block out the noise."

"The noise?" Sunako followed him to his stereo, where he put in an abingdon boys school CD.

"I think you'll like this…plus they're going on tour next year, we can see them live…" Kyohei trailed off as she ran a finger down his spine. "OK, OK I'm coming."

Sunako sat down on the edge of his bed. "Not yet, you're not."

He turned from the stereo to the bed and kissed her again; she leaned back farther and farther until her back was against the untidy blankets. He crouched over her as the music began to play, loud and fast.

"Let's change that," Kyohei grinned, and grabbed his backpack.
