Once the enemy had left, Mikoto kneeled down to the chair that Yata was now half unconscious in. Using the heated aura emitting from his hand, he melted the wire tying Yata down, being careful not to burn the younger or have the hot metal touch him. When all of the wire was removed, Yata attempted to stand but faltered, dropping nearly limp in Mikoto's arms.
"I'm sorry…" Yata murmured quietly, "I'm sorry for not being able to defend myself and allowing myself to be captured. I'm sorry for being useless," he added as Mikoto lifted him up and held the teen carefully in his arms.
"Shut up, you're talking like an idiot," Mikoto said dully, in his usual monotonic voice. Yata didn't reply, he only rested his head on Mikoto's shoulder lightly, before falling asleep as all of Homra returned to the bar.
The Red King rested his vanguard down onto one of the couches and Izumo pulled a white blanket over the teen. Mikoto stumbled slightly over to the other couch and flumped down onto his, leaning his head onto the back of it.
"Are you alright Mikoto?" Izumo asked as he came downstairs from putting Anna to sleep.
"Ah, yeah, must've gotten bit shaken up when I got kicked…" Mikoto replied, looking at the bartender. He could swear that he was seeing doubles of everything, his head throbbed harder and he shook his head a little before lying down. Most of everyone that had gone to save Yata had gone back to their respective dwellings; the rest that stayed in the bar quieted down to allow the King to rest.
An hour and a half later, a woman in a long, black trench coat walks in.
"Ah, Miss, my apologies, but we are closed for the rest of the night," replied Izumo as he was cleaning glasses. The woman only smiled, her eyes and hair concealed by the hood she wore.
"Ah, it is no big deal," the woman stated, "It suddenly became quite windy, so I sought refuge here until the wind passed. I hope you do not mind," she added. Izumo thought for a moment before nodding, allowing the woman to stay until the harsh winds passed. The woman again smiled and reached into her coat as if reaching for the wallet that was possibly stashed there, but instead, she pulled out a small hand gun. Kamamoto rushed to knock the gun from her hand, but she was too quick for him; he was kicked in the face which knocked him a few feet away from the group. The quick motion had pulled the hat off of her head revealing the red-haired woman from before, her name being Kimiko. She looked at them all with a dull expression and looked over to the couch where Mikoto was. She pointed the gun at the King, but continued to look at the group that was surrounding her.
"Misaki Yata, you have until Thursday afternoon to turn yourself to Kai, or I will have no choice but to kill every single person in this room, especially Mikoto Suoh," she says, showing no expression. No one was able to tell what she was thinking, and before anyone knew what she was thinking, she lowered the gun.
"Do not punish the messenger, unless the messenger has done wrong," she simply states as she collected her hat back up and left. Everyone else watched her walk out before turning back to each other, not knowing what to do. Minutes pass and everyone looks to Yata who looks around nervously.
"So what are you going to do Yata-san?" Kamamoto asked after recovering from the battery and walked over to the group.
"I...I don't know," the teen replied. He didn't want anyone to die, nor did he want himself to die, but he had no choice. In the few minutes after he was asked, he had made up his mind.
"Don't worry, it isn't that easy to kill us. We're pretty strong y'know!" Shohei replied. Yata gave a small, fake smile, "I know!" he said cheerfully, "We all are!"
Yata went over to Mikoto's side with an ice pack that Izumo had prepared and placed it onto the sleeping man's forehead. a while passed and most of the members left to their respective homes for the night.
Yata remained at Mikoto's side, wanting to make sure that his king was alright, but after a while, even he became drowsy. Yata yawned, "Kusanagi-san, is it alright for me to stay here?"
"Hm? Oh, sure. I think there's a spare next to Anna's room..." Izumo replied. Yata smiled and nodded, "Thanks Kusanagi-san!" He said before heading up.
He made his way into the spare room; it was small, with a small bed in it. The bed took up about half of the room and it was covered in simple, white sheets and a dusty comforter. It didn't seem like this room had been used yet. Sighing, he got undressed and went under the blankets before falling asleep.
