The Fawley's were one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight. A group of Pureblood families with only a few being aligned with the side of the light. Marianne Fawley was a beautiful woman with wavy, jet black hair and piercing green eyes. James Fawley was equally as attractive with messy bronze hair, hazel eyes and a tanned complexion. The two had only one child; a daughter, Odalie, and she was a perfect split of the two with her father's hair and complexion and her mother's eyes.
Odalie ran around her room, double and triple checking that she had everything.
"Julian!" Odalie called out and a wizened House Elf appeared.
"Yes, mistress?" Julian croaked.
"I can't find my wand and how many times do I have to tell you-" Odalie said.
"Call me Odalie, not mistress." Julian finished for her before clicking his fingers and handing Odalie her wand.
"What would I do without you, Julian." The 14-year-old said with a smile.
"You would never have your wand on you," The House Elf explained as the two left her room and walked towards the entrance way to the mansion.
"But my wandless magic is strong enough," Odalie started in protest.
"But not strong enough to protect you, should people find out you're a Royal," Julian said to which Odalie sighed.
"Yeah, I guess."
"Ahh, there you are." James Fawley said as Odalie and Julian descended down the staircase.
"We're not late, dad," Odalie replied.
"Yet. You're not late yet." Marianne Fawley added.
Odalie rolled her eyes with a smile before holding onto Julian with one hand and her mother with another. With a small pop, the Fawley's disappeared.
The family appeared a short moment later in front of a scarlet steam engine. All three of them felt bittersweet in that moment.
"Now, you be careful this year, sweetheart." Marienne said pulling Odalie's coat around her, as if she was wrapping her up to protect her.
"I will, mum." Odalie replied earnestly before hugging her mum tightly. "Love you."
"Love you too, darling." Marianne replied holding her daughter close before releasing her to hug her father.
"Bye dad," Odalie said hugging him too.
"Bye, love," James said holding her close. "Do well this year, you pick your O.W.Ls this year and you want to make sure you pick the right ones."
"Don't worry, dad, I'll write to you both before I make any permanent descisions." Odalie said before hugging Julian goodbye and running onto the train.
Her chocolate brown hair, waved around as she made her way through the train looking for her friends and it didn't take her long to find the blonde and ginger girls.
"Hannah! Susan!" Odalie called out as the two were a little way ahead. The two turned around with a smile before the three pushed past a few other people to hug.
"Odalie! How are you?" Susan asked.
"I'm OK. How was your holiday? Did you manage to get away?" Odalie asked after she had greeted Hannah and the three made their way into a compartment.
"We went to the Cotswolds for a couple days," Susan replied. "It rained a lot so me and Aunt Amelia stayed inside. It was quite fun actually."
"Then she came and stayed round mine for the remainder of the holidays." Hannah said with a smile.
"So what was better Susan or America?" Odalie quizzed jokingly.
"Susan, obviously." Hannah said with a laugh as Susan hit her arm playfully.
"How was Romania?" Susan asked.
"Yeah! Did you see any dragons?" Hannah added.
"Romanina was wonderful! And you already know that I saw loads, Hannah." Odalie replied with a smile.
Hannah looked around before leaning forward and whispering. "Did anymore of them, you know...talk?"
Odalie nodded. "They all did."
"That's still so cool." Hannah said.
"I couldn't find anything in any books about talking to dragons, it's almost like it doesn't exist." Susan added.
"Thanks for trying, Su." Odalie told her sincerely.
"Now, let's forget dragons and Quidditch World Cups, and look forward to a new year at Hogwarts," Susan said with a smile.
"You mean a new year to watch Cedric Diggory," Odalie teased. Susan flushed and Hannah narrowed ber eyes slightly.
"I don't understand why you like him, Su, he's just a Quidditch Player." Hannah said.
Odalie watched as her two friends began bickering as they usually did, she was looking forward to this year. She could tell it was going to be interesting.
