Hey Sweet Pea: Part Two: All That Remains

A/N: I decided to add a second part since lots of people enjoyed it. This takes place during Season 2.

"Hey sweet pea." Clem heard the voice she never expected to hear again. She turned around and saw Lee, the man who had taken care of her. She saw him die a long time ago. She couldn't put herself through killing her protector.

16 Months Earlier

"You're strong, Clem. You can do anything." Lee's voice was hoarse. The infection was ripping him apart from the inside out. He didn't like saying goodbye to Clementine this way and he sure as hell didn't want Clementine being alone out there.

"But I'm little." Clem sobbed.

"Doesn't mean nothin', you gonna see bad stuff, but it's okay." Lee was crying too. Lee was sacrificing everything for Clementine to be safe. He felt like he was leaving Clementine behind. He hated that feeling.

"My parents. It's so horrible." Clementine weeped.

"I can't imagine, sweet pea."

"And now…you? PLEASE….Please don't be one of them. Please don't become a walker."

"There's only one thing you can do. You know that." Lee didn't want Clementine to shoot her, he was reminded when he killed Duck to make sure he didn't turn. It was horrible, he didn't want Clem to experience something like that.

"I don't know if I can."

"You can leave me it's okay." Lee coughed, and he was getting worse by the second.

"You can come with me!" Clem said.

"No, honey, I can't." Lee's hand was handcuffed to the radiator. It reminded of him back in the police car before he met Clementine.

I reckon you didn't do it?

Why do you say that?

I've driven a bunch of fellas down to this prison. Lord knows how many, usually right about now, I get the 'I didn't do it!'

What's your name?

I'm Clementine. This is my house.

Hi, Clementine. I'm Lee.

How far is Savannah?

Pretty far.

That little girl's in my care! We've been through more than you can imagine! Anyone who tries to get between me and her, is going to wind up dead!

I'll protect her, no matter what.

"You'll be just like them!" Clementine was trying to process everything that was going on right now.

"It won't be me." Lee croaked.

"Lee…" Clementine squealed a bit.

"You have to go, now!" Lee ordered.

"Find Omid and Christa. They're outside of town, by the train. You remember how to get back there?"

"Yes." Clementine nodded.

"They'll take good care of you." Lee said. Clementine sobbed. She never thought this would happen.

"And Clem? Keep that hair short." Lee said to her as his dying wish. She remembered what they talked about on the train.

"I will. I'll cut it myself." Clem wiped the tears from her eyes.

"Great. Good." Lee smiled.

"I'll miss you." Lee coughed.

"Me too." Clementine kneeled down and held out her hand and rested it in Lee's hand. This was goodbye.

"Go." Lee ordered. Clementine got up and walked away, she saw Lee fading out.

"Don't go." Clementine weeped.

Lee fainted, laying his head to the radiator, while still cuffed.

A Few Hours Later…

"Lee. Wake up." A voice said. Lee opened his eyes to see Molly. She was picking the lock on the handcuffs.

"M-molly?" Lee's voice was fine now.

"What are you doing?" Molly asked.

"What? I'm alive?" Lee slapped himself in the face.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Lee? Where's Clementine?" Molly asked.

"I was bitten." Lee told her.

"No shit. You're okay now."

"How?"

"Aspirin." Molly smiled.

"Oh my god." Lee took a deep breath.

"Slap me." Lee requested to Molly. Molly raised an eyebrow and slapped Lee across the face, very hard.

"Ouch!" Lee groaned in pain.

"You told me to slap you, dumbass." Molly rolled her eyes and she finished picking the lock of the handcuff. She threw the cuff at the wall.

"Let's go." Molly nudged him to get up.

"Wait." Lee reached into his pocket and grabbed the camera.

"Now is not the time to take selfies. Let's fucking go." Molly ordered as she kicked open the door where Clementine had ran out.

"Please be alive, Clem. Please." Lee said as he finished up the recording and put the recorder in his pocket.

Twenty Minutes Later…

Lee was sitting on a log, with Molly right next to him. Lee put the camera down on the sand, hoping that Clementine would find it.

"We'll find her, Lee. But don't expect leaving clues will help anything." Molly said as she got up and looked over to the countryside where she saw two figures moving.

"Let's go." Molly pointed in the direction the two figures were at.

"Wait, Molly. I don't have a gun. No bullets." Lee pulled out the gun he had acquired from the stranger, but the barrel was empty.

"Well, fuck this, just follow my lead."

"You don't have a gun?"

"Do I look like I own an arsenal?" Molly said as she continued to run towards the two figures.

"Hello. Who may you be?" A man said. He was joined by another man.

"I'm Molly. This guy is Lee. What are you two doing here?"

"My name is Vince. And this is my friend Wyatt. What are you doing out here?" The Asian man, Vince greeted the two of them. Vince had a dark red jacket with a white shirt under it, and a pair of blue jeans. The second man, Wyatt had a dark green jacket, and a black shirt underneath, and he had long dirty blonde hair and medium length beard. Wyatt nodded awkwardly towards Lee and Molly.

"Trying to find my little girl." Lee informed the two men. Molly looked at him with a confused look.

"She your daughter?" Wyatt asked Lee.

"…Yes." Lee lied, and Vince shrugged and then crossed his arms.

"Why don't we help you?" Vince smiled.
