Twin Of A God

Criminals are dying, and those that hide behind computer screens praise the one causing it, the one they call KIRA. They don't see criminals as normal people just like them. Akio will show them they are not so different, he is Light's twin brother after all.

It was a completely dark and isolated room with only a desktop computer on the hardwood floor; the only light in the room was from the glow of the computer screen. A black single Old English letter L on the white screen. The light even exposed the scarred papers on the floor, the pages containing records and photos of the investigators working on the Kira Case in Japan.

Just outside the reach of the light was someone, supposedly male, sitting on the floor in front of the computer and papers. It seemed he was very thin, his clothes, a simple white long sleeved shirt that was much to big for him and baggy jeans with no shoes or socks on his feet. Black hair, messily sticking out as if it had never been brushed, covered his eyes and his paper pale skin made him look more like a lingering sprit.

'Kira is getting his information from the task force somehow. There is no chance he changed his pattern suddenly. The only question is… who.' He thought shifting threw the papers in front of him. His hidden eyes only scanning them for a few seconds before he knew the person's entire record, until his eyes landed on a pair of nearly identical photos.

A pail hand picked up the profile for a young man named, Light Yagami, holding it with only his index finger and thumb like it was carrying a pelage before doing the same with the other profile of the same or another young man that looked like Light Yagami.

"Hm?"

The two young men had the hair the same shade of brown, cut to nearly the same length, only the way it was styled was different in between the photos. Both had same fair completion, their eyes the same shape and color as the other, same height, same blood type, even same parents with the same last name.

"Akio Yagami?" He muttered into the darkness as he dropped the other profile in favor of its look alike with a record that was filled with questionable holes.

BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ

A small green and sliver colored cell phone rang as it hit 5:58 PM, it sound filling the modest bedroom from in place on the bed. The room had light brown wooden floors stretching from below the light green walls that where decorated in a few anime posters. A there was plain wooden door that led to a hallway and a sliding door that led to a closet. A small window was covered with white curtains let in the last rays of light come through as it shined on the prone form of a young man laying on the bed over the green and white covers, an arm covering his eyes and legs dangling over the edge onto the floor.

BUZZ BUZZ BUZ-IT

The alarm was turned off when the young man lazily reached for it and turned it off. With a sigh the young man sat up tom the bed and yawned, ruffling his short brown hair before there was a knock at his door.

"Who is it?" the young man asked, still half asleep as the door opened to let in a rather intimidating looking man with long red hair and sharp golden eyes. The one on the bed looked at his guest lazily. "Hey, what's up man?" he asked and the red head looked nervous as he stood in the door way, the brunet asked worriedly. "Akio, I think its best you don't take on any more serious jobs for the family." The red head told Akio who only frowned. "Because of Kira?" he asked and the red head nodded seriously.

"Yeah. It's some crazy shit, we just lost half of our guys yesterday." The red head looked Akio seriously in the eye, but it looked more like he was trying to scare the brunet who looked back at him solemnly. "We don't want to lose you, too. You're actually a really good person, and my sister would be even more of a demon without you." The read head told him and Akio chuckled.

"You say that like it's a bad thing. She is the daughter of a Yakuza boss after all. It's understandable for her to be rather demonic." Akio chuckled as the red head huffed in amusement, giving a small smile, visibly relaxing as he stood in the door way. "Good because you have to take her to Cram school so she doesn't skip it again." The red head told him as the brunet got off his bed rolling his eyes.

"Yeah, because out of the remaining so called, gangsters, none of them want to deal with a teenage girl." Akio responded as the red head surged his shoulders and left the room with a small smile.

Later

The school bells rang as a privet high school had ended classes for the day, students in tan blazers and black sailor uniforms flooded out of the school happily, either in groups or by themselves, a few passing by a man in a trench coat who was waiting in the shadows, going unseen by many of the students as they passed him. The man was looking around the sea of teens to find the one he was to be tailing for a few weeks, spotting the recognizable face of Light Yagami, son of Chief of police, Soichiro Yagami.

The teen was leaning on the wall of the school, dressed in the schools uniform of a light brown blazer jacket, a red tie, white shirt and black slacks, the Yagami boy's hair was neatly styled to fall just short of his shoulders. The brunet then pulled down his sleeve to check his watch for the time as a girl in the black sailor uniform ran up to him before exchanging short greetings and walking away from the school.

The man followed the teens as they walked, nothing out of the ordinary; the two slipped into a café and chatted, having tea and cake, the girl took pictures of the boy and herself before leaving to attend cram school. Only, the man saw only the girl enter the building but not the boy who was watching her. After a few minutes of standing outside the building watching the Yagami boy, the man noticed something shocking about a student who passed between him and his target at that moment.

The other boy looked exactly like Light Yagami!

The Next Day

'Identical Twins? That information would have been really nice to know beforehand.'

The man thought bitterly, having now relized why the two boys looked so much alike and why there seemed to have been two files on Light Yagami. He looked through the packet of profiles he had been given. He had been assigned to investigate the members of the Japanese task force and their close families and friends. In his experience in the FBI, he never expected to mistake twins so easily. Sitting in a hotel room he shared with his fiancé and soon to be wife, his short black hair brushed away from his face and dark eyes studying the two profiles more carefully as he relaxed in just his pants and white shirt with his shoes off as he sat at the table in the hotel room.

Akio and Light Yagami, identical twin sons of the Chief Yagami.

The man looked threw Light's profile first, seeing nothing out of the ordinary with the younger one of the two. If anything he was the perfect son: top student in Japan for the past 3 years and a Junior League Tennis Champion. There was no police record for Light other than him being the Chief's son, his record was clean.

Akio, the older brother, on the other hand had a whole page worth of crimes; they were just fragile assault charges that where already dropped, underage drinking charges that were forgiven, and a grand theft auto charge that seemed to still be pending. In Akio's early life he could tell the boy was not much different from his brother 4 years ago, Akio had gotten perfect grades and also shared the title of Junior League Tennis Champion with his younger brother, even being offered a college scholarship at the age of 13.

Looking back further, he found a report about a tragic car accident all three of the Yagami children and their grandparents had been in. The elders had not survived the collision with a careless truck driver and Akio nearly joined them as he had used his body to shield his younger siblings from the debris, getting pierced by glass and metal leaving the child comatose for 3 months before waking up and going to therapy to regain the use of his legs again.

"Hey Raye?" Came a woman's voice from behind him, startled the man, Raye covered the profiles before looking over at the woman. The woman stood right behind his chair, her medium length black hair fell over her shoulders and back turtle neck, and dark eyes that had studied the information from over his shoulder before looking at the man's face worriedly.

"Are you ok? You're looking a bit pail." She asked the man sincerely, worry in her voice as she had only caught a few words on the profile he was reading. Raye shook his head trying to get the words out of his head, slightly glad there were no pictures besides the head shots.

"No. No. I'm fine Naomi. It's just…" He trailed of as he pulled out the profile of the Yagami twins, letting his future wife read it herself even if she just took them from his hands.

The woman read threw their profiles and then looked at their pictures.

In the photo Akio's hair was messy, a sly looking smirk on his face, and along with the confidence shining in his eyes, two sliver chain necklaces around his neck and a black t-shirt. Behind the oldest Yagami child where height lines and the information board that had the police station he had been detained at just a week ago.

While his younger brother's was a normal high school ID. His hair neatly combed and orderly, his uniform wrinkle free and in order in front of the generic school id background. It was innocent but it felt very... odd, that a young man his age was that neat, especially when compared to his older brother.

"Akio seems pretty wild, there's no way his brother can be this perfect." Naomi said as she read threw the profiles that were side by side for comparison. However, she became confused as she read more of Akio's profile.

'He doesn't live with his family?' She wondered briefly as she saw his home address was also different from his brother before Raye took the papers from her and putting them away. "Naomi, don't go getting involved in this. This is my job. You're not with the FBI anymore." Her told her sternly as she gave her future husband a helplessly sad look.

"But Raye, I want to help you with this-"

"Naomi." She stopped talking as Raye gave her a serious look and wrapped his arms around her, brining her to his chest.

"Please... don't get involved in this." He begs softly as he rested his chin on her right shoulder, holding her tighter. "I don't want to lose you. Not to Kira ro any one." He told her, trembling a little in fear as he held his future wife close. Naomi slowly wrapped her arms around him to sooth him, but she looked at the papers on the table longingly.

December 20

Three more days till Christmas Eve found people still shopping around for gifts, trying not to leave the task for the last minute as they swarmed around the shopping district, not many standing still at such a busy time.

A young man, was leaning on the brick of a toy store, looking at bit ruffed up, from his messy hair to his half unbuttoned black shirt and unzipped tan jacket that bulged out strangely at his stomach, and white sneakers on his feet tapped the ground as he held a large bag with the toy store's logo printed on the outside and a few wrapped gifts inside on his right arm and cell phone in his left.

-So is everything set for the Christmas party, Akio-kun?-

Came a woman's voice from the other side of Akio's phone, making the brunet sigh tiredly.

"Yes, Mei-san. I managed to get the thing Haru-chan was asking for." He told the woman as his stomach seemed to move on its own; no one seemed to notice or care about the strange movement.

-I'm sure she'll love it just because you picked it out for her.- The woman teased, making Akio chuckled as his stomach moved again. "Yeah, her mother's preferences didn't have any impact at all." He mused as his stomach mewed.

-Hey, you're the one who's like a magnet for them. It's why I asked you to get it. If it was anyone else they would mess it up somehow.- The woman scoffed as Akio's eyes caught on to someone filmier to him, brining a small smile to his face before noticing someone following them, he was no longer listening to the woman.

"Gotta go. Something came up." He told her quickly, hearing her call out to him before he closed his phone and slipped it into his pocket before pushing off from the wall towards the man hiding under the stairs of a walk way.

"Excuse me, sir. Sir!"

Akio called out to the older man, who seemed unsure about who he was calling before the brunet was within arm's reach of the man who hesitated before turning around to see the young man who call him, unnerved by Akio's pregnant looking bulge in his jacket.

"Ah!? Are you talking to me?" The man asked, unsure as he saw that the young man had one hand in his jacket pocket, seeming to hold up his extended stomach.

"Are you Raye Penber?" Akio asked the man innocently, and the man was taken back at the question, shocked. "Uh? Yes… that would be me." The man nodded, looking at him unsurely as he did not remember ever giving out his name. The brunet however pulled out a filmier looking black wallet and flipped it open to expose an FBI Badge and ID.

His Badge and ID.

That had his name and face on it.

"Is this your wallet?" Akio asked as he flipped open the black wallet, showing it to Mr. Pember noting the color drain from the agent's face as the older male seemed to break out in a nervous sweat. "Is that a yes?" The young man asked as he closed the wallet and extended his hand to the older man to take it from him, only to get a glare from the FBI Agent who patted down his pockets for something that was no longer on his person.

"B-but... how did you-" Mr. Penber looked at his wallet disbelievingly and up at the young man, Akio gave the man a serious look that unnerved him. "You dropped it near the Cram School, I just so happened to pick it up. I also noticed you're following my little brother." Akio said, nodding his head over to his oblivious brother and his date, the agent however became very nervous as he faced the older Yagami sibling.

"So tell me Agent Penber..." Akio glared at the man accusingly, taking a step towards the man who took a step back. "Why is an FBI agent, with such a beautiful woman about to marry him, stalking a teenage boy?" he asked the agent whose blood ran cold in fear as Akio pulled out the picture of Naomi that had once been in his wallet, on the back was Naomi's full name wishing him luck for the investigations, he tried to stay calm as he faced one of the possible Kira suspects.

"Um, well I um-"

"Mew."

Raye tried to explain but jumped at the noise before looking down at the source. A little head of an orange tabby stuck out of Akio's jacket, from the place the budge had been, it's large green eyes looking up at the agent in adorable curiously. The cute little animal seemed to relax the agent who was confused about the adorable little animal.

"Well Mr. Penber, why are you staking my brother? The end of our meeting will greatly depend upon your response." Akio said sternly as he gently pet the kitten's head, making the feline purred at his gentle touch, unnerving the FBI agent even more. "I-if I die you will be suspected of being Kira." He bluffed as the young man glared at him and made a cat like hiss; then again it could have just been the kitten. The older Yagami got right in the agent's face, only having to look up slightly as Ray was only an inch taller than the young man.

"I am not a lazy, stupid, delusional little child, Mr. Penber. Get that information burned into your head right now." He looked at the man angrily; his brown eyes almost looked like that had a red tint to them as the narrowed into a glare. It seemed like forever until the brunet backed away from the panicking agent, going completely clam and smiling suddenly. The agent almost felt a heart attack coming with that haunting smirk.

"However, seems like I made you late for your bus." Akio chuckled as the agent's snapped over to the bus stop, only to see the bus driving away, the other Yagami child and his date had already boarded the bus. "Shit." Raye cursed and turned back to Akio who was walking away, satisfied with stalling the agent and not caring about the glare that was burring into his back.

A.N. Well I condensed two chapters into one and changed a few things. Hope this will be more interesting of a read then the first time around.
