"That's not fair, Dean! What if I want kids?" Cas slams his fist on the table as he stands up.

"It's not gonna happen, Cas. We're both dudes." Dean won't meet his eyes.

"We can adopt!" Cas walks around the table to set his hands on Dean's shoulders, "Dean, please."

He pulls away, "And give someone else's kid the shit life we had? No thanks."

"Dean! It doesn't have to be like that. I want kids."

"Well," Dean finally lifts his head, showing that his eyes are brimming with tears, "You should have thought about that before you married me."

Cas grabs his wrist before he can leave, "Dean, I married you because I love you. I'm not going to give that up because we disagree on this. But I do wish you'd think about it a little more."

Dean doesn't say yes, but he pulls Cas a little closer and presses a tear-stained kiss to Cas's hair. It's a start.
