*~*~episode 1~*~*
A new life
"We're now on our way to the air-port …no sense in talking my way out of this. I liked it here in Jamaica. It's my home or should I say was my home, and leaving everything behind was really hard. I miss my friends already. Mom says this was our final time of relocating. I hope so."
The confused teen communed inwardly as she stared through the green tinted car window. The air condition could not cool the heated thoughts in her mind. She wondered what awaits her in the new and strange environment that was to be her new home.
Her mind was her personal diary and these are thoughts she harbored in her wearied mind.
My name is Kayziha Liletto. I'm fifteen years old, your average teenage girl, medium built thick curvy figure that some people call big boned… thick, plump, fat; whatever. I am of an olive skin tone; I have long black, well groomed small sister locs which hung in the centre of my back. I have honey brown colored eyes. I am a conservative but fashionable dresser. My cousin says I'm old fashioned but I rather a skirt and a modest top. I do not fancy makeup; only a lip gloss will suffice.
My family consists of my mother, a middle aged woman, in her forty's, she's very motherly, kind and absolutely a wonderful woman. She has brown complexion, bold raven black eyes with short brown curly hair. Hanna is her name, a wonderful name for a mother. Somehow she's been the crutch which I lean on, both in good and bad times.
Then there is my brother Teven Liletto. He is nine years old, average height for his puny age, black short slickly curly hair, very boyish and an ok personality. He's a nice brother, not much trouble, and yeah if you were wondering, he's quite inquisitive in my personal life as expected.
My Grandmother's name is Mizzlayne, weird huh? So we called grandma Mizz. She's my father's mother. She's mixed with Korean, Caucasian and African background... Beautiful mixture. She lives with us - And man is she great! I think of her as a second mother. She tells us stories of her past, which never seems to get old or even make sense at times, but it is always interesting to listen. She has beautiful grey hair that lay thick on her back, brownish caramel complexion, tainted with dark raisin like freckles on her cheeks. It's hard to believe that she is eighty-four years old. Her face hardly shows signs of wrinkles. She looked Royal.
My sixteen year old cousin Showana Nike, lives with us along with our family friend Shykiri whom we like to call Knives. He is seventeen years old; he mixed with Japanese.
There was something deep about Knives which was unexplainable, and his attitude has a way of pissing us off most of the times. He is the serious, rough neck; rarely, to never smiling type of guy, but I Kayziha always knew how to get around him.
We have a white German shepherd called Bob, who has a special liking to Knives, don't know the hell why. Everyone together made up my special little family of seven.
Now this is my story. Welcome to my complicated life.
*~*~Puru Megami~*~*
A month ago Mizz received a letter stating that a house in Japan was entrusted to Kayziha by her late father. For some unknown reason, Hanna was refusing the invitation, which made everyone a bit happy, but still curious; as to why she would refuse, seeing that it was from her husband and an opportunity to reside in a new country. Mizz insisted for Hanna to take the invitation as she placed all the POSSIBILITIES of relocating on the table. Mizz was a good persuader and being simple as usual, mom took the bait!
*~*~Puru Megami~*~*
The barely amused teen sat at the back of the blue family sized Odyssey, silent as a lamb.
"Hey what you so worked up about?" Knives asked, trying not sound too interested in her welfare. When she didn't respond he tapped her on her shoulder with his elbow pulling her attention to him. Knives had an intriguing, sexy, stern, manly voice which always got the ladies hot and bothered for him. And man does he use it to his advantage.
He always hated to see Kayziha lost in thought as if the whole world was bugging her.
"Yes …I'm fine." Kayziha replied lazily, her voice filled with boredom as she rested her chin on the seat in front of her. She was never one to voice her thoughts. She always wondered where she got that personality from. She rather kept her thoughts to herself.
"No Knives, she's worried about getting a boyfriend… since she had to leave the other useless one behind." Teven added as he mocked his sister. He always felt the need to keep her busy with his annoyance, and that topic seemed to effectively pick at knives curiosity.
"I said I'm fine! So just drop it will ya!" she answered, sharply darting an annoyed eye at her brother. Obviously something was bothering her. No way. It wasn't him... couldn't be that useless boy. "You should be worried about going to school, at Dumb Brats Prep!" she suggested in a sing song tone.
"Hum." Showana hummed as she applied blue make-up to her well taken care of, chocolate complexion face while she blowed a big bubble from her chewing gum. Looking side to side in the mirror of her makeup kit, Showana blew a kiss at her cute reflection. "Tev really stuck a nerve with that last comment, huh?"
Kayziha released a disapproving grunt, which made Showana slightly frown. "I'm over the age for a boyfriend. I'm always good at making friends everywhere I go." Showana proudly announced, "Beside its Japan girl, how much better can this get?" Showana added to her brag heart speech. Knives looked at her as if what she had just said was spoken from the brain of a retard.
Knives didn't like to see Kayziha down and out. He knew something else must be bothering her and it's not just the fact that she won't see that asshole of a boyfriend again.
He had to find out what was on her mind. Should I bother her? What if she gets pissed off by me trying to pry in her thoughts? It isn't hard to try... right? Anyway here goes nothing? He leaned in closer to her, "Hey what's up with you?" he softly asked, "Don't tell me it's that peanut brain, Pitbull face guy you're so depressed about."
Knives question brought Kayziha back to reality, even though she didn't hear the entire question. Something about Pitbull face and boyfriend was registered; she knew instantly who he was referring to. "No it's not that!"
I knew it had to do with that piece of shit! Knives grimaced inwardly. "Sooo what's bothering you then?" he quickly asked, smiling at the way she was getting upset, she was always attractive to him when she was pouting and blushing. She always looked so soft and innocent.
"It's nothing that concerns you." she calmly answered.
Showana got curious when she saw how close knives was to Kayziha. She always wanted to be in the middle of conversation that looked yummy, especially when it was related to knives and Kayziha. She pulled closer to the backseat so nothing would miss her ears. Showana got a little hint where the conversation was coming from, and decide to make her approach noticed.
"So Kay, did you give him a little going away present to remember you by?" Showana asked, winking at her cousin to make her question more understandable.
Knives felt his stomach turned in the most distasteful way. He couldn't imagine Kayziha opening her legs for a dirt bag like him. The very thought of it made him almost cough up bile.
When the meaning of repulse's question was understood, Knives closed his eyes and shook his head in disgust at repulse's forward and distasteful question. He felt the need to say something about it but refrained from doing so, it may sound too hostile. "Don't you ever think of anything else, but that?" he asked in vain, rubbing his index finger at the bridge of his nose.
Showana giggled at Kayziha's deep blushing smile. Somehow this question pissed off knives really bad. He wasn't sure he wanted to hear the answer; maybe it would take him over the edge. He had a quick flashback on the day he had to punch him in the face for kissing Kayziha after P.E.
"Noooo Showana!" her answer became a hash whisper, "I'm only fifteen years old, I don't do those things… well yet." knives serious expression somehow lightened after her answer. "Anyway we didn't leave on good terms. Plus he wasn't my boyfriend." she announced sadly.
"Yeah I know what you mean, the girls back at home wasn't too happy about our sudden leaving." Showana chimed in. she grimaced just remembering the conversation between them.
~*Flash*Back*~ "That is insane! You're joking right?" Alecia exclaimed blinking her eyes furiously at Showana and Kayziha. "Freaking Japan?!"
"No it's not a joke, and yes; it's freaking Japan." Kayziha answered, hanging her head down. "Mom and grandma told us the news two days ago. We have a weeks to put everything together and leave."
"I mean why would they want to leave Jamaica and on such notice… it doesn't even sound legit!" Nana said sounding just as shocked as everyone in the room.
"So … I guess ya'll just gonna leave us then? Are you ever going to come back?" Alecia the pretty blonde weaved hair girl in our group, asked; Tears drowning her black pearl eyes as she silently wept on.
"Not even a going away party or celebration for my girls." Nana continued.
Jordon stood in the corner of the room with his arms folded staring intently at Kayziha. His slender, muscular chocolate body framed attractively in his baggy jean and blue sleeves less marina. There was no mistaking it that he loved the gym.
"I'm not sure if we'll even return girls." Showana said while turning to look at Jordon to see his expression. He seemed to be in his own world; piercing Kayziha with his gaze. Showana was sure Kayziha could feel his eyes on her, but maybe she was scared to even see what his expression would be at the present.
"Have you seen this so called house before?" Taja asked.
"Do you even know anybody there?" added Alecia again.
"None of us know shit. I asked mother but she claims that she doesn't know either. Far as I know or heard; my dad left it for us."
"I think someone's lying to you girls. They must know something about the house, to be so willing to go there." Nana intervened.
"Well maybe Grandma Mizz does." Showana pouted.
"Anyway I promise that you guys can come visit, whenever you're ready." Kayziha truthfully answered, hoping it would lighten the tensed and awkward mood in the atmosphere.
Everyone noticed that Jordon was quite the whole time. Nana was making signs with her eyes to Kayziha, trying to tell her to talk to Jordon. They could painfully image how he was feeling; Jordon was so much in love with her.
Kayziha knew that she was to say something to him, but how will she face him? Will he hate her for going? He's like a friend to her just like the others! What the hell, she wondered why was she acting like this? It's not like they were married. What the hell… I'm only fifteen!
"We'll pray for you so that you'll find a decent looking guy in your new life." Taja teased. She was an out spoken friend, who held nothing inside.
"Taja!" everyone yelled in unison, feeling the tension degree jumped to full hundred in that one statement. All this bad energy was coming from Jordon. Dude tone it down... geez.
"Well it's true! I wouldn't want her to hook up with that ass called knives…I hate him!" Taja argued back.
Taja had a thing for knives but he turned her down, in the most embracing way imaginable, telling her that she was too skinny for his taste, he loved thick girls. From that day it earned him a sour and deadly emotion from Taja. Recalling that day almost made Kayziha snicker under her breath.
Now Jordon was too quiet for comfort. "Jordon?" Kayziha looked up just in time to see him walking out of the room. Everyone quiet down after that. Taja's words must have gotten to hm. Kayziha wondered if she could talk to him in the condition he's was now in. That knives and Kayziha hooking up comment drove him over the brink.
She found him standing on the veranda at the end of the hallway, looking at the colorful shrubbery in front of the house.
"Jordon." she softly called touching him on his shoulders, before he could turn around.
His black low cut, wavy hair complimented his bright brown eyes. He turned around and looked at the girl he loved with harsh anger printed in his eyes, "So that's it then? You're going to leave here and go to another country to start your life anew; so you can hit it off with knives?" He stamped his hand on his forehead in frustration. "Do you have any idea how much I hate that guy." Kayziha shrugged her shoulder in sadness and a little annoyance. Knives... that's all he thinks about. I'm about to leave and all he can thing about is me hooking up with knives. "I know he's close to you, but all this; what Mizz and your mom is doing is crap!"
"Yeah…I know that. But Shykiri is the least of what we need to talk about."
"I love you Kayziha, I really do. I've known you since you were like twelve. We've been close for four years Kay, four damn years. I've been waiting so long just to be able to be with you... and your just gonna go!" his voice banged inside her head with great malice, "And now you're just going to throw everything away?"
She felt really sorry for him and how his emotion was so unstable at the moment.
He was waiting all this time to be with me? But I'm not interested in him like that. How would he take it if she was to tell him that he never had a chance with her? Would he malice her forever?
"It's not my fault Jordon… there nothing I can do to stop it ok!"
"Damn right it's not," he said sarcastically.
"What? What do you mean by that?"
"…Plu' lease…"
"Knives! You think knives have something to do with it?" Jordon rolled his eyes, as if he could care less. "…what's this? You think I'm lying now?"
"Oh no! Why on earth would I be assuming that?" he continued with his scarcasim.
"You know Jordon! You honestly sound like a freaking bastard! I'm defiantly not talking to you until you get a hold on yourself and that attitude. I've already explained it to you and the girls. They are understandable except for you." Kayziha argued.
"What the hell are you expecting from me? Huh Kayziha… jump for joy." He yelled at her. Kayziha gasped in shock at his aggressive behavior. His eyes didn't miss the frightened gesture which crosses the girl's face, but he was so upset he didn't stop to amend it. "Getting a very good reason to get banged up with knives."
His soon to be ex-so called girlfriend smacked him across his face, with the force of anger. He hurt her feeling with the 'banged up with knives' comment. She really liked Jordon; and knives was like a bother to her. Many people never understand their relationship, because they were all so close. Misjudging them. Maybe.
Tears were streaming down her face which seemed to tear at Jordon's heart. He didn't mean to hurt her; he was just upset and still is. But it wasn't worth seeing her cry, and that slap to the face was what he deserved.
"You're too closed minded and big of a jerk to understand… but you know what? That's fine by me!"
Realizing how much he'd upset her with his childish comments and attitude he tried to stop her from leaving. "Wait… Kay, sweetie." Jordon reached out to grab her arm but instead she shook him off. With that she left without looking back at him for the last time.
*END *Flash* Back*
"WHAT! I can't believe you guys haven't forgiven each other as yet." Showana intervened.
Kayziha didn't want knives to know that they had a disagreement because of him. But that was a waste of effort.
"To hell with him. I don't give a rat's ass if he likes me or not. By the way if I wanted to freak Kayziha I would have gotten it a long time." Knives replied, folding his hands at the back of his head. Feeling proud of his blunt comment just now. Glad I got that off my chest.
Both girls were stunned to the point where no words were coming from either mouth even if they tried.
Teven turned around with a confused look. "What do you mean by freak Kayziha, knives?" he asked; totally innocent to the meaning of their conversation.
Showana and Kayziha were still lost of words, they both opened their mouth to say something but nothing came out. They were shock by Teven's inquiry as well, but it seemed like what knives had said, mostly knocked the wind from the girls' lungs.
After a couple of sharp breaths, she was back on earth, "What the heck do you mean by that …You jerk?!" Kayziha jabbed him in his side.
"Pike down Kayziha… you know exactly what I mean." he released an expatriated sigh, "Don't you think you should answer your kid brother first, before you come at me like that. Damn do you want to break my ribs with your freaking elbow."
"I think you are the one who should explain it to him…since you're the one who said it." Showana interrupted with her exciting girly voice. She just sounded too interested to hear his side. Anything relating to the topic of sex and drama always sparks the fire in her personality.
"Well then; I guess I have no other choice." Knives grumbled under his breath. "Tell you what, when you grow two more feet, I'll explain it all to you." knives answered uninterested. Teven pouted, poking out his lips. "Besides its adult stuff … nothing concerning you. It's a headache subject and call for cold showers afterwards; that's all you need to know; so just butt out." knives finished with a stressful sigh. This is getting old, and really fast.
Teven pointed the plastic fork he was eating his cup noodles with, towards knives face. "Ahhhh ... I heard you talking on the phone last night as well, talking about making someone quiver with your fingers." He finished his statement with a cooing jeering tone. Still he was innocent to the conversation at hand.
Knives narrowed his deep brown eyes which normally looked deep red when he was pissed or thinking something evil. He looked at the youngster with vengeance. "Ho, so you're the brat that was poking around last night." Knives punched Teven over the head causing him to quickly garb his acing head and shot revengeful glares at his attacker. Knives gave it to him as a reminder of what was likely to happen again if he continued to eavesdrop on his conversations. "Turn around and pretend you heard nothing... Brat."
Teven simply turned away and continued eating his cup soup, with an angry pout on his face.
Ho ok so that's why he came in late last night… he got a good going away present from his slutty bitch of a girlfriend. Kayziha reasoned in her thought.
Knives beautiful reddish eyes reflected mischief, when he saw the girls being too quite after Teven's informative speech.
He spoke more softly so Teven won't intrude on his x-rated words. "Jordon was jealous of us because he recognized the possibilities between us. He knew you would be willing to give it up to me instead of him." knives didn't miss the small bliss of nervousness which ran across the girl's faces. "Come on Kayziha stop being so on edge, I'm like a bother to you. Stop being so stiff." Somehow he didn't bother to continue what he was about to say after seeing how nervous she got. He just diverted.
"Humph" Kayziha sighed beneath her breath, as if Knives weren't there. Knives skipped over to the second row beside Teven.
Showana stifled couple of giggles in her palms when she caught how knives was talking to Kayziha. Knives; when are you gonna stop lying to yourself and just tell her how you feel, you big dumb jackass
Only if knives knew how he excited her, both emotionally and sexually. She liked him a lot, maybe more than a brother. She herself wasn't even sure. Whenever he was around her or too close her body would react differently towards him… maybe it was just teenage hormones.
Why do I feel like this? It's not like were attracted to each other. Kayziha thought to herself. She then looked at Knives who was gazing through the window. His hair was neatly cut to frame his face and stylish bob cut hairstyle, his slightly oval shaped face, dark tanned complexion. His eyes were bold and deep brown which almost looked reddish. He was mixed with Japanese and damn was he handsome, nice slender muscular built.
As the conversation was changed and escalated Kayziha stared through the green tinted car window, the air condition could not cool the heated thoughts in her mind. She wondered what next she will be meeting in the new and strange environment, which eventually will be called her home.
*~*~Puru Megami~*~*
When they arrived at the air-port, they alighted from the car.
"Come on, everyone grab your bags, the air-port is awfully busy today." Hanna hurried the kids from the car. It was a two hour drive to the airport and boy was it exhausting! Not to mention Showana and Teven's ridiculous babblings throughout the journey.
"Well why aren't I surprised?" Knives slothfully said, pulling his bag from the car trunk momentarily releasing some mighty yarns and stretch.
"Bye Uncle! Take care. Thanks again for the ride." Teven said releasing a wide tired yarn.
"It was the best I could do kids, since I won't be seeing you all for a long time." Uncle Chrimpy replied being sweet as usual. He had a deep voice, he almost never spoken without leaving a ridiculous chuckle behind it. He had hairy chin and cheeks that itch, so the kids shied away from hugging him. Could you blame them!
"I'm so going to miss you brother." Hanna said gently rubbing her hand on his cheeks.
"I'm missing you already sis, I want you to take good care of yourself and the kids." He smiled "Ho … and you too Mizz." He slightly frowned.
"Yes I will and I promise to keep contact with you." Hanna replied.
Uncle Chrimpy bowed his head trying to avoid the settle tears in his eyes from showing. That was the first time Kayziha saw her mother and uncle so affectionate with each other, she felt so sorry leaving him behind, they were the only family he knew, other than his wife and daughter.
"Bye everyone, have fun." Uncle Chrimpy said joyfully waving his goodbyes. "And you too Mizz." He said in a stocky voice turning away his face. As Chrimpy waved his family good-bye, Kayziha could feel his sadness. His sagged posture was all the evidence they needed, to prove that Chrimpy hadn't taken it well.
"We definitely won't be seeing him for a long… and I mean a long time." Knives grumbled under his breath, walking away with his luggage as if he didn't give a damn about the mushy goodbyes.
"I love you uncle." Showana said softly under her breath. As they all waved their last farewell.
Stepping through the entrance of the busy air-port Air Jamaica in Montego Bay, Teven's eyes enlarged "Wow this is how an airport looks Mom?" he asked loudly, his high pitched voice bounced on all the walls in busy the station.
"Yes Teven." she answered in an even tone. Hanna always managed to look and sound calm when she was unhappy, that's something Kayziha believed she inherited from her, and sometimes she pitted herself for it.
"Quit acting as if you're from another planet Teven; you sound dumb. This airport is nothing compare to what your gonna see in Japan" Showana said in a mocking tone folding her arms.
"Geez Showana don't you know what it means to speak when you're spoken to." Teven answered pointing his index finger at her. Giving her a decent insult. "Ooooooooh! Bob!" Teven's frightened voice echoed.
"What happened to him?" Kayziha asked becoming concerned and a bit coy about forgetting their dog.
"It seems we left him in Chrimpy's car" Mizz intervened.
"No! …I want my pet!" Teven cried.
"It's okay; I have already taken care of his part of the trip. He's safe, and we'll all arrive at the same time." Knives interrupted before Teven made a commotion. "We have to take our seat now."
As they boarded the plane they scrutinized the environment. The inside of the plane looked awesome, cool atmosphere, comfortable seats and not to mention the window for a perfect view.
*~*~Puru Megami~*~*
"This is nice huh Aunt Hanna?" Knives asked putting his bag in the over head compartment.
Giving knives her bag to pack away as well she answered, "Yea even though it's been a while since I've been on a plane."
"I hope you're not nervous about it?" he inquired
"No... Not at all sweetheart." she gave him an assured smile.
Teven and Mizz sat together in the fifth row. "Grandma Can I have the window seat please?" Teven asked knowing what the answer would be.
"Sure Tev squoot over, right beside grandma." Settled and comfortable at the window, Teven began with his over excited gestures.
"Whoa Awesome! Look mom …far out huh?" Teven purred.
"Now, now Teven, keep your voice down." Hanna said putting a finger over her lips indicating for him to be quite.
"Okay sor…ry." He said in an apologetic voice. Looking over his shoulders at Kayziha, in the sixth row he started to smile mischievously. "Hey Kayziha bet you wanna switch places with me huh?" he said reaching over towards her face trying to poke his finger up her nose, with an irritating buzzing sound. Most times her best option was to ignore him, it always did the trick, and eventually he would get bored. Teven saw that it wasn't much fun annoying Kayziha because she wasn't paying any attention to him. Teven then looked at Knives with a mischievous smile.
"Na …I'm cool." knives quickly said looking at Teven very seriously. He got the message the hard and distasteful way. "By the way Aunty have you seen my iPad I need some music, to relax…?" Knives asked as he continued to avoid Teven pretend sadness.
"Here you go Sweetie." Hanna handed Knives his blue scull case iPad. The sound of heavy metal music danced in Kayziha's ear during the flight.
Hanna looked at Mizz who was so relaxed, and smiling with her eyes closed. Hanna enquired if Mizz really knew where they were going. Mizz nodded, still smiling. "Don't worry Hanna I know exactly where we're going."
"Good cause I don't want to be a big fool standing in the airport station." Showana grumbled under her breath. During the flight Showana looked and winked at every cute guy she could find on the flight, even the hot male flight attendance was no exception.
Finally the plane landed at the Kansai International Airport in Japan. Wow it was awesomely beautiful, now Teven got something to marvel about. They hurried outside for a taxi with Bob excitingly slapping his white fluffy tail against any legs his tail could reach. Just as Hanna was about to signal for a Taxi, a matured Japanese man dressed in a grey tuxedo, walked towards them with a wide smile as if he was familiar with the family. They gave a shallow smile in return.
*~*~Puru Megami~*~*
"Hello Mizz it's great to see you're back on our soil again… it's been a while." He said tilting his head in a short bow.
"Sharp as usual eeh Badar." Mizz said as they embraced each other in a hug.
"I thought this guy was either very polite or very weird in a stupid way." Knives said, rubbing the tip of his nose and blinking his eyes at them.
Kayziha beckoned to Knives to tone down his volume for his whisper was more like an open comment. Mizz told them it was ok to follow Badar for he was their driver. As they entered the black Mercedes Benz, they scrutinized the environment. Mizz introduced Badar to the family there they all familiarized themselves better.
"I never dreamed I'd see you back here in Japan Mizz, it's really a blessing, and we all missed the safe warm atmosphere you brought with your presents back at home." Mizz looked very flattered with Badar's sugary compliments. Within minutes, the car ignited with laughter and cheers like a family reunion.
After an hour drive the car pulled up at a gate with an empty security house. Badar opened the gate; then they drove less than a minute to the house. The house was more like a mansion as they pulled closer to their destination.
"Um …Mizz" Hanna said nervously scratching her head.
"Yes! ... What is it darling?" Mizz asked, as if she was expecting that reaction.
"Are you sure we are at the right place?" Hanna asked with another nervous chuckle "This is way different from what I remembered", she added. She was very nervous about being on someone else's property.
"Far out grandma! This is awesome, does it means we are rich?" Teven asked with exceeding joy. Clapping and skipping from one leg to another. Like a little sissy.
"Hold on Teven, we're not sure we're on the right avenue." Hanna said placing her hands on his right shoulder to restrain him from running off.
"Relax will you Hanna, this is it and this is our home."
The house was a huge two storey mansion with nice roofing designs, all the windows were built with customized crystal clear and light blue hard glass. The body of the building was painted White. The Liletto's house was a beauty in the Tamakara Heights neighbor hood that was located in an upscale community which almost looked country like. There were many big beautiful and massive houses in the neighbor hood as well, but there was something about the Liletto's mansion that out matched the others in beauty.
"Well I don't remember it being this big." Hanna paused staring at the house, playing with some of the hair at the back of her head. "It's beautiful." Hanna said trying to figure the right words to use..
"Well what are we standing out here for? let's get inside." Mizz proudly announced.
Mom said she didn't know where she was going, but just awhile ago she said she doesn't remember seeing It this big... was she lying to me.
Teven andShowana excitedly rushed towards the mansion but fortunately they had to wait for Mizz to unlock the door. Kayziha stared at the door with both of her hands buried in her jacket pocket as she stood on her left leg. She was filled with silent anticipation. Knives stood beside Kayziha as he looked down at her from the corners of his eyes.
This place... I've been here before... but how? How is that possible?
"Who first pick a room will automatically become the owner!" Showana said looking down at Teven with a mischievous grin and provoking look.
As Mizz unlocked the door, she held the door knob, and slowly turned; the door jamb made a rusty creaking sound as it opened.
The inside appearance of the house was to die for. The floor was varnished with thick furry blue carpet; the walls were built with thick light blue fiber glass. There was a big blue and silver Stripe sofa in the living room, shaped in the letter C, a large glass table with a broad gold dish placed on top of it.
The kitchen was furnished with its necessities. A huge ten burner stove, double sink, gold and silver tiled kitchen table with white over head cupboard. The kitchen was huge something they've never seen before.
The entire kitchen was furnished in gold and white appliances, utensils, cupboard and draws. The floor was tiled with sparkling gold and silver flower tile. It was a beauty with breath taking appearance.
"Ok kids come on lets go up stairs." Mizz called "I know your papa must have left something up here to blow your minds." Mizz chuckled.
There were two curved staircases on both side of the house leading to the second floor. Where there were six bedrooms and two separate bathrooms.
Teven enjoyed being in new environments, he likes to pretend that he was a detective. He's the curious one who was always ended up discovering things that not even the Real Estate Representative know about the place. Well if that's possible.
Teven held on to Mizz's hand as he continued to blab his mouth that doesn't seem to ever stop.
The first room at the end of the stairs was quite an advantage of reaching down stairs first. "This is your room Teven!" Mizz announced in a spiteful tone. "For a big brave and growing boy." She added to her unfair decision with a slight chuckle, rubbing her fingers through his silky black hair.
Kayziha frown with puckered lips. Geez grandma why do you have to be so dramatic? She thought inwardly, with her arms folded leaning on the door.
Knives walked up beside her with a fasten eye in Teven's room. "I don't know about the brave part, but he is a growing snort." Knives softly said in Kayziha's ears as he glide his right hand over Kayziha's warm and neatly formed back, Kayziha smiled at knives brushing some of her locs behind her ears.
"Wow Teven! Chick doesn't fly far from the block eeh? Your room is the perfect replica of you." Showana said as she stooped down with both her hand on her knees. "It's big, empty, and ill shaped just like your brain, with two big glass windows which represent your flyable ears." Showana added followed by a boisterous laughter of mischief.
"Ma! Shan is making fun at me!"
When Hanna didn't reply, he felt the need to throw something hurtful at her, "You're just saying that because your room is going to look nothing like mines." He yelled pointing his thumb at his chest, his smile was cocky saying don't mess with me.
Somehow Showana took Tevens threat serious and wanted to prove her room would be better. "Ok let's see snort! Grandma I'm ready to see my room." Showana said with both her fists on her hips.
*~*~Puru Megami~*~*
Then there was Kayziha's room, it was big and spacious. It was painted in deep purple and silver with bright sparkling glitter. There was a big sized bed for two, fluffy and neatly spread, a white, pink and black furry polka dot sofa, a small refrigerator with fully furnished purple and silver furniture's. The carpets were made of purple and white polka dots thick fur. Someone really put their imagination to good use, it was unlike anything they had seen before.
"this room is impressive." Knives said aloud, looking around in the refrigerator. Knives was a really hard person to please and if he was impressed by the appearance of her room then it had to be something awesome. Everyone was amazed by Kayziha's room and the beautiful decor; it was almost as if it belonged to a queen. Kayziha prance around the room like a happy frog she was excited and blissful.
"Mom look at this I have my personal bathroom, how awesome this is a dream come through." She screamed in a high pitch voice. Knives look at her large bed and smile inwardly, now if I could only the chance to give you a proper doggy style and reverse cow girl action on it, then it would make my life a lot brighter.
The room was specially designed for a girl, his daughter Kayziha whom he never got to see grew into the beautiful girl that she now is. While Mizz continued browsing the house Kayziha noticed in the ceiling of her room that there was a weird type of art designed of a heart with a sword sticked in the middle of it. It was like no one noticed it but her.
"Hey guys wait up I'm coming." She shouted when she realized that they had gone on without her.
Showana's room was a beautiful one, the setting was pink and green it was well furnished, and she was tremendously satisfied with it.
Knives room was awesome, well furnished with all its necessities. He too was well satisfied with his room with his boyish designs already installed plus what he was planning on adding. All the rooms seemed as if it was designed for each of them, fitting to their personalities.
Hanna took the room that she once shared with her husband. Mizz also clanged to her former room.
For the rest of the day the family took time out looking around the house getting familiar with the house.
"Hey look at this" Teven shouted from downstairs.
"What is it honey ... you ok?" Hanna called out in panic, rushing down the flights of stairs to her son. She swept him in her arms of protection.
"Ma I'm fine, gosh ma don't be so jumpy... but look at this," he softy said to his mother knowing that it will always be like that with her. He pointed his index finger to the north of the living room; over at the glass window which was smudged with fog. There was an open music room with all types of fine music instrument.
"I had no idea that my son had done such renovating to the house, it's beautiful, I know he loved music and fine living, but this is just brilliant."
"Inside here is amazing, something you'd want to invite your friends over and brag about." Knives said sitting on the piano.
Showana loved the finer things of life so this life was something she would bargain for at any time. "Hoo auntie Hanna this is fantastic… It looks like it belongs to a billionaire RNB Singer." she exclaimed.
Knives grumbled under his breath "Hoo brother; not one of her smart ass comments again!"
"Knives you can grumble all you want but imma say it anyway. This means if 'moa' does well, with making friends at this new school we can have a PARRRTAAAYYY!" Showana said, trying to high five knives who automatically turned his back to her.
"Get that off your mind Showana," Hanna snapped, waving her high five, imitating Shanyna.
"Yeah what the hell do you think this place is anyway? Quad? Were not in J.A. anymore." knives snarled at her.
Kayziha smiled, "Mom... knives and I are going out back for awhile, okay." Kayziha said, holding knives hand as they walk outside together. Kayziha and knives were always close when one was missing; it was a grantee that the missing link was nearby.
Mizz told Kayziha that she wanted to show her something so she shouldn't stay too long.
*~*~Puru Megami~*~*
Thirty minutes later Kayziha returned, anxious to see what Mizz wanted to show her. Kayziha asked her Grandmother when was she going to show her the garden that her father loved and cherish so much. Well so she heard anyways…it was going to be now or never. But on the other hand Hanna was very resentful towards the idea of Mizz taking Kayziha to the garden.
"This is your father most precious place; he loved and nourished it." Mizz whispered in leading Kayziha to the garden.
"I hope it's as impressive as you make it seems grandma?"
"Hold ye horses my child; patients come with great fulfilling enjoyments." Mizz replied. Mizz wasn't a fast neither bold talker. Her words were slow, she had a shallow shakey voice but she was very clear when she spoke and she spoke with authority as if she was royalty.
Mizz lead Kayziha to a small picket gate, painted in light purple, "Dad sure seems to love purple huh grandma?" Kayziha said with a simple smile.
"Let's go in child."
Kayziha was expecting to see little flower pots scattered here and there, skinny discolored birds in cages, over grown grass and wild cats running around mating in the bushes... Here goes nothing.
*~*~Puru Megami~*~*
In that moment what she saw was breath taking. The size of the garden was as a medium size football field not too large but bigger than she expected. There was a fountain of pure crystal water flowing from the stature of a well professionally designed sword; the handle of the sword was coated with gold and blue stones which glisten like sequins. It was said that at nights when the moon was at a certain direction the jewel in the middle of the hilt was bright enough to light up the whole garden. Kayziha wondered if by any chance she was conceived in this place. If it was a yes, she wouldn't be surprised… damn it's an excellent make out spot.
The blade of the sword was sprayed in gold; it was a blissful feeling to gaze at the water as it flowed from the handle of the sword into the water bed filled with green and pink water lilies floating on the top.
"Umm grandma let's just say, I'm not too bright and wanted to know if these were real gold." She just had to do it huh? Couldn't she just let that question slide?
"Do these look real to you child?" Mizz asked twitching her eyes slightly annoyed.
"Ummmm ... yes." Kayziha answered rubbing her index finger alongside her cheek, acting innocent.
"Yes it is real Kayziha, that's why your father seals it away; he wanted it to be for his offspring, someone who is not greedy for riches."
"WHAT! … REAL GOLD GRANDMA?" beam of happiness and wealth flashed before her eyes almost raising her blood pressure.
Mizz watched her overly excited granddaughter expression and inwardly smiled. "No they are not real gold… it's for decoration purposes." Mizz inwardly smile. Serve ye right.
At that moment Kayziha tried to control her arrogant emotion form devouring her… after all, the old woman deserve some fun too.
Good back in control again. "So why did you and mom moved? I take it that you all use to live here."
"Let's get one thing straight little miss, do not ya'll me, you got it!" Kayziha swallowed and nodded. Shit! She's hearing doubles now.
"Ok back to your question. Yes Kayziha we used to reside here but you'll understand the more you get acquainted with this place."
Kayziha narrowed her eyes looking at Mizz very confused, "Grandma nothing that you're saying is making sense right now besides it's starting to feel like a canon to the back of my head."
"Ummmm, I know." Mizz rolled her eyes, inhaling a deep breath of fresh air with her eyes closed as a soft whistling wind passes, "I don't expect for you to understand. Not just yet."
The garden was filled with appealing sensory. There was a bed of low cut silver and purple grass that leads from the gate to the back of the garden; across from the fountain was a fish pond that was built in the ground, the square tank was filled with beautiful fishes, with many colors that were appealing to the pupil. "These are Kohaku"
"What are Kohaku, can you say that in English please?"
"Have you ever heard of Kois? In Japanese they are known as Kohaku and for us and most English speaking people they are known as kois, they have an interesting historical background. They represent love and friendship; many lovers proposed and voiced their undying love to each other around kois so that it will be everlasting. It's a great and wonderful place to make a promise. There are twenty large kois of many different colors as you can see."
"They are extremely beautiful; I can say that much for sure. By the way how do you know its twenty kois?"
"Well as my grandson would say…duh! I counted them..." Mizz replied smiling at Kayziha covering her mouth with her slightly wrinkled palm. "I bet you feel pretty dumb now huh?"
On each side of the garden, a row of crusted flowers with vibrant colors just jump out to the atmosphere. In the middle of the garden was a rather strange tree about twenty-five feet tall. Fifty inches wide, the plants on the tree were white as snow with purple buds which clung to the middle of the white flowers, like blossom. Even though the tree seem weird, like something out of an ancient story book, there was a peaceful, happy and relaxing feeling to Kayziha whenever she rested her head on the trunk.
There were two couch like looking chairs, very relaxing place to chill and get away from Teven and the others. "Wow I could lay here forever! It's so comfy."
"Come here Kayziha, over here; Let me show you a place where your father treasured most." Mizz walked towards a bunch of clustered wild green and pink creeping plants which hanged like a curtain on the garden walls. Mizz used both her hands to sweep the bushes aside, revealing an old mock eaten brown medieval door. It was a medium size hut the size of a small sanctuary. "It's a family shrine passed on from generations to generations and if my calculations are correct; it's over couple hundred of years old. It's the Liletto's Shrine. Very valuable, only a certain type or class range of people were allowed to enter." Mizz explained.
Kayziha lifted an eye brow and asked in a cynical way. "Over hundreds of years? How in God's heaven would you know that? Besides…" Pointing her index finger at her grandmother she continued with her cynical comments. "You haven't even lived that long." She added folding her arms with a grunt. Mizz sighed at her granddaughter as a hopeless fool."Tell me something…even now certain people are allowed inside... So am I allowed inside then…and what exactly do you mean by class, is it a racists or poor and rich, Black and white thing?"
"No Kayziha, not like that. Watch your step, there are no railing for these stairs." They went down six flights of steps. On their way down Mizz told Kayziha more about the shrine, "There are types of people and things in this world that millions of other people don't know or have the slightest clue that these things exist, while most people in our now; so called modern generation may see them as fairy tales. But In this lifetime you should never think anything impossible."
Kayziha thought Mizz was acting up like she would many times back at their previous home while telling her fake stories. "Like Frankenstein, pumpkin head, shape shifting, and the evil tooth fairy." Kayziha asked sarcastic.
When they arrived in the shrine, Kayziha took the time out to look around and get familiar, she then noticed something weird and immediately she called mizz's attention. It was a painting at the back of the shrine; the dead end, the painting on the wall was rather mysteriously and scary beautiful. In the painting were bright blue skies, beautiful trees blowing in the wind, a lovely sparkling river stream with four lions three male and a female. Of all the lions there was an extremely large white lion with strips of red and purple makings alongside his face and belly.
One white tiger, four hyenas and two wolfs standing in the distance of the mountains. There was a dark cave surrounded by huge rocks at the entrance of the mountain, it seems to be barricading something from coming out or going in, the painting of the cave looked very deep and scary, something to the point of no return. The painting was life size so it had an intimidating feeling when standing close to lt.
"This is creative Grandma, I like it; but it feels so real." Kayziha said rubbing both palms together.
"Yes! Like those fairy tale and werewolves. You should know that there are two sides to this world. The temporal goes with the spiritual and the spiritual with the temporal, none can do without the other."
Staring in Mizz eyes, Kayziha asked with a tense and intimidating look, "So like ghost and stuff?" Her voice slowly becomes shallow and shakey. The teen couldn't believe that her grandmother could cause her to shiver in slight fear. But it just wasn't Mizz; there was something about the shrine that made Kayziha uneasy.
Mizz replied in a stern tone, blowing away a heap of dust from the Alter. "Everything you do naturally has a spiritual effect. So it's like positive and negative, spiritual and temporal... Is that too hard to understand?" Mizz voice became slow, and shallow, "long ago I was told by my great, great grand uncle, that this very shrine had the secret entrance to another time or era. Most of who had the chance to cross over never shared with anyone where the gateway was or what was on the other side." Mizz looked at the gathered dust in her hands, "But one thing I know; the entrance is somewhere in this garden."
"What is this gateway thingy all about; do you expect me to really believe stuff like that!" Kayziha exclaimed while examining the structure of the shrine, "Well let's say if what you just told me is truth, I bet those who crossed over are the greedy type, all for themselves. I wonder if there may be gold by any chance there huh?" Kayziha jeered with her arms at her waste tapping her toes on the floor. Mizz picked up the broom and started to sweep the dirt coated floor.
"No that's not the case … they just never returned." Kayziha looked at Mizz with her eyes wide opened. She thought her grandmother was getting mentally sick because of the wacko stories she keep making up, and yet another part of her foolishly believed.
"It was said that unimaginable things took place there, it was filled with spiritual powers, it's like a world filled with ancestral and aristocratic people, where black magic or pure powers were manifested. A Feudal Era, Time of war."
Dusting the walls, cupboards and items, Kayziha made a violent sneeze. Wiping her nose; in a stuffy voice, "I don't know what the fuss is about, many people in our time still practice black magic, even tho I've never seen it. I'm not sure why, but this story is most interesting than the others, you've told." She said smiling at Mizz. Kayziha leaned on her father's alter that was made of Aluminosilicate glass. Kayziha asked. "Would you really like to see that fairy tale world, even after you heard all that crap?"
Mizz was becoming anointed with Kayziha doubtful and careless attitude. Why could she stop doubting and start believing what she was hearing… smart ass teenagers. Mizz thought Kayziha was simple minded and unlearned to certain topics. But then again she couldn't blame her for her behavior, because such world wouldn't even be imaginable in Kayziha's mind. Being at her father's home was like a step into the world of riches and delegates but still for someone so used to pain and the dark it was so unexplainable why she wouldn't believe or better yet …Remember.
Kayziha softly rubbed her chest as she looked at her sweeping grandmother; there was something about her chest and feeling emotions, she was able to tell how someone was feeling among other weird things, she often wondered if she was losing it.
When Mizz was finished she told Kayziha that there was something she wanted to show her before she left.
Mizz pulled from a cupboard a small bronze ancient looking box with weird printed inscription around it, and handed it to Kayziha, "This is a special inheritance from your father to you sweetie, and he said his first born was to have it."
Kayziha held the box in her hands staring as she wondered internally what could be in this strange old stupid looking box, she hoped it was something of worth. She slowly opened the box with her eyes, anxiously waiting to see what surprise was waiting for her. There was a golden fluffy bedding inside. "WHAT THE HECK! …GRANDMA WHAT IS THIS! A JOKE… CUSHIONS!"
"You teenagers are not scared to talk your minds huh?" Mizz said before striking Kayziha over her head with her barely formed knuckles. "Take a deeper look Kayziha, lift the darn cushion."
Kayziha pulled the cushion from the box, when a beautiful yellow glow of light reflected on her face. "Ho my God! Grandma is this real? It's beautiful." She cooed as she fastens her eyes on the rear and beautiful jewel.
It was a broad and rear looking ring with a beautiful large multicolored stone attached to it. The ring was arrayed with beads made from pure silver, with a gold stone dancing in the middle of the jewel. The stone has an unusual light that glowed and light up as a shiny disco globe.
"That's pure gold Kayziha."
"Wow this is…. Um real gold grandma… this is just… wow." Kayziha was merely speechless at the sight of the priceless jewel, she had never seen anything like that before, She was becoming curious she wanted to know if her father was a jewel collector or had some high ranking job, somehow he looked like the richest person in the neighbor hood.
"This is precious to your father. Before your mother and my son parted, it was for you, he personally made that request." while Mizz continue to talk to what seem to be an inattentive Kayziha, who was somewhat overtaken by the beauty of the diamond that she kept staring at. It was as if her internal attraction and emotions was silently being absorbed by the stone.
"Are you listening to me Kayziha?"
"Yes grand ma, but why me, this look like it's worth millions." still not fully giving Mizz her attention, she barely answered. "It looks troublesome."
Mizz grumbled under her breath at Kayziha. "Could you lay off the money talk for a while? … You teenagers only think about money as if it's all that. Troublesome sounds better." But money was the furthest thing from Kayziha's mind.
Kayziha placed a hand on her lips. "Before they parted?" Kayziha asked, narrowing her eyes. "Were mom and dad having problems grandma?" She added slowly stroking the stone. "She hardly talks about him ... Sometimes I wonder what he was like. But it was effortless getting something straight from her."
Kayziha knew nothing about her father. Holding the box in her hand made her wanted to cry for him, since she was told that it was from a man she only heard was her father but never had a memory of his warmth.
Becoming sentimental Mizz said to Kayziha, "Your farther was a bit… different." Mizz bowed her head and looked away. "It's hard to explain, but your mom was having a hard time understanding his world and way of life… he loved her so much that he did everything in his power to protect her and you." She shaked her head and stepped away. That's why you have Hanna, she's all the mother you need, and that's how your father would want it to be.
"What do you mean, by different?" Kayziha asked walking behind Mizz, a mixture of curiosity and confusion on her face.
"Your father tried to explain things to me that I find unusually weird. He was trapped in a world that was very different form your mother's… it was scary, sad and impossible to understand… and I believe I have a major part to play in all of this." Mizz said standing with her hands clasped behind back, her countenance suddenly changed to an emotional repugnant form.
Kayziha raised one finger. "Wait a minute grand ma!" Mizz paused, quickly tilted her head to see Kayziha. She was Interested to hear what she had to say. "What kind of weird stuff…?" Kayziha asked hoping to get a straight forward answer.
Mizz sighed shoving her hands deep into her pockets and slouched; there was a moment of silence as she blinked looking up the stairs. Kayziha said nothing waiting to hear an answer... Mizz cringed her eyes and replied in a shallow voice, "This very shrine." It's a gateway to your past.
Kayziha gasp firmly holding the ring. "Did they argue a lot?"
Suddenly a warm dimed, rainbow colored light began to form a circular motion in the ring, accompanied by a slight pounding sound, which also came from the ring. She stretched out her fingers and gazed with shock and stammering lips.
"Grandma Mizz!" she called out in panic, struggling to pull the ring off which seemed to be stucked to her finger radiating a warm sensation. Kayziha panicked thinking that the ring might scorch her finger. Mizz turned to see what her blabbing was about. She was surprised to see the beautiful light and colors. Her eyes widen as the light reflected on her black pupils. As Kayziha struggles to remove the ring, the lights in the ring became brighter.
"I have never seen this manifestation. This is unexplainable beautiful my child." Mizz replied, being invaded by the beauty of the lights. "The pulsing sounds like a heartbeat."
Kayziha rubbed her index finger over the light, smiling. It feels so warm and peaceful.
Mizz smiled mysteriously at Kayziha, but Kayziha missed the look on Mizz's face. Kayziha managed to pull the ring off her finger, holding it in her palm; bringing it closer to her eyes she took a good look at the beautiful colors dancing in the octagon shape jewel.
When Kayziha's warm breathe blowed on the ring; it gave an enormous vibration. Kayziha dropped the ring with a gasped of fright, she tensely inhale a deep flow of air. "It felt weird Mizz, what's up, why did it light up like that?"
The light and pulsing sound suddenly stopped as it felt to the floor, Kayziha bend to pick up the jewel. When she did the light and pulsing sound started again.
Ummmm she holds power over the stone; then she's the true owner… then that means the other missing of piece of jewel is in _.
Somehow the stone seems to be aware of Kayziha's presence when she was near it; it reacts by lighting up and pulsed.
"This is too cool grandma; try and see if it will light up on your terms." Kayziha gave the jewel to Mizz. Suddenly the light from the stone disappeared leaving the ring in an ordinary form. Kayziha and Mizz stared at each other lost for words.
Mizz returned the jewel to Kayziha with a nervous laughter, "Here this belongs to you! Your dad knows what he was talking about when he said it was yours." Mizz acted cool about it, but deep inside her heart she wasn't.
"Tell you what grandma I'll just put this back in the box from whence it came." she chuckled nervously, scratching the back of her head."
"Uh, yeah. No problem." Mizz softly said under her breath. "Please take care of this shrine its now yours; it would mean a lot to your farther if you do." Mizz looked at Kayziha from head to toe and up again, with a small grin as she slowly walked away. Kayziha planted a big kiss on Mizz soft wrinkled cheeks. Mizz made her way up the steps letting out a grunt at each conquered step. Kayziha ran to her aid, wrapping her hands under one of mizz's arm helping up the stairs.
*~*~Puru Megami~*~*
Evening began to draw nigh as the orange and pink evening clouds moved acrossed the horizon as the sun began to slowly change its shift for the day. Hanna gazed into the beautiful horizon as she leaned on the glass widow. She slid open the French window when a cool breeze softly played on her cheeks, she gently closed her eyes and went into precious memories; she heard her husband voice reminding her how beautiful she is as the sun when it sets. She remembered the day when they stood together at the very same window embracing each other as they were lost in each other's eyes.
~*Flash*Back*~ "Do you know why I love you so much?" Ranatoyu asked
Hanna smiled as she gave him a wink, "No I don't, but I know your gonna tell me anyway."
"Mmmm you're right ...You know me all too well." He replied landing a firm kiss on her soft pink lips. "The sunset over the horizon it's so enormous, beautiful, obedient to nature, calm, and a beauty that is always desired to see up close and personal and yet it cannot be fandom nor can a price be placed on it. This, my dear is how you remind me; I always want to be close and around you. It puzzles me how you still love me after all I've put you through, yet all of my life you still accepted me in your heart when you are fully aware of what I am and what I've done. I don't know how you do it but ... You're an enchantment to my soul..."
Hanna softly touches his cheeks with a peaceful smile. "No matter what; this love I have for you is special and it will always be special... I know what had happened, but it wasn't your fault."
"Even with Sanarra?"
"Yes even with her." Hanna replied not fully honest. "You and I are hooked and I'll always be a fool for you." She answered truthfully.
Ranatoyu placed his warm hand under her chin moving it to his lips; he kissed her six times on her lips and hugged her holding her firm around her waist. "I want you to always remember this. You are my everlasting friend, there will be no one else like you and none can take your place... I love you Hanna... I love you so much." Hanna could not hold back the tears, so much emotion when he held her, the warmth of his breath; there were sincerity in his voice and she loved him too.
"I thought you loved Sanarra more than me." Hanna softly said trying not to let the jealousy in her voice evident.
He smiled at her, "There is something special about you, and no one can change that." What he said was partially true but it was a fact that he would give his life for Sanarra any day. As much as he loved Hanna, Sanarra had his heart and life… he would die for her. Hanna knew this and that's what always left a void in her emotions, but having him in her arms was what she wanted, even if it was just for a short time…even if she was second place.
He whispered in her ears "My enchanted love."
It was autumn and the leaves danced around them that evening with the lovely sunset which enlighten the mood, with its bright orange and pink clouds which slowly sat over the horizon. The wind sung a classic tune which left Hanna and Ranatoyu in desirous awe for each other; their eyes glittering with passion, their lips met as it told each other about their inner feelings.
"Ranatoyu…" she softly called, he slowly broke away from their kiss, waiting for her to continue, "Make love to me…Now." *END *Flash* Back*
Tears slowly trailed down Hanna's face, she stared out the window at the colorful evening skies as if she was watching a sad movie. She still could feel the gentle way in which he made love to her, his warm body and intimately creativity. Not a moment after she heard Mizz's voice calling from a distance, she quickly wiped away her tears and forced a faked smile.
"Hoo, found you! I should have known you'd be watching the lovely setting of the sun." Mizz said swallowing the last piece of apple.
Mizz was right about the setting sun. But more emotion was behind Hanna's gazing. Ranatoyu was a big part of her life and she loved him dearly. Thanks to this sun setting; all those memories keep flooding her mind once more; no one would understand why she had to leave in the first place as well as nothing could have made her stay.
Hanna didn't want her to keep chattering about it, so she quickly changed the subject. "The kids look happy so far Mizz ... it's the first time we had ever seen them ever so blissful and happy." Hanna said, still sitting on the couch, releasing a sigh of relief.
Mizz knew that Hanna had a lot on her mind; the kids, her past life and other things that she fail to reveal to her. "Mmm what did you except to see?" Mizz asked "They are at their true home. I can see it Hanna, they are going to love this place, more than anything." Mizz continued, patting Hanna on her shoulders. Hanna sighed once more.
"Are you sure we made the right decision bringing her back here. Back to the smell of blood, pain and despair... I mean this place, where all her true identity and past will come sweeping back to her memory?" Hanna softly replied, folding her arms with her cheeks in her left palm, "If only her dad could see her now. I guess this is what he always wanted; a happy home with a wife and kids he could come home to."
None of the kids had ever been in a house this big before and Showana and Kayziha can't wait for their friends from Jamaica to visit soon.
Later that night, they all sat around the dining table enjoying their new and happy life with cheers and laughter.
Except for knives, he stood outside looking at the beautiful clustered stars. The wind coolly combing through his chestnut brown bob cut hair that neatly framed his face. Out of everyone in the room Kayziha noticed his presents was missing and slowly walked to the door, not to draw attention to her. She quietly left the dining room when she decided no one was looking. Thanks to the laughing and merrymaking it was easy for her to slip away.
Before Kayziha came into sight, he spoke, "You didn't have to come all the way out here because of me, you know." Stroking Kayziha's fingers, that were now wrapped around his slender but muscular body. His voice was charming, with power of seduction.
I knew he was gonna say Something like that, "Oh, come off it!" She demanded sternly. Knives gasped at her stern tone in which she spoke to him. No matter how serious she tried to be; to him it was a joke. He smiled and bowed his head. His smiles always made her happy. When he was being too serious it bothered her to the core. Kayziha's voice became soft again, "I know… it's just that… I don't like to see you by yourself like this Shykiri. It makes me … worry." She explained trying to be clear with her reason. "I guess I just always want to be around you… it's hard to explain... but whatever ... never mind, you wouldn't understand anyway."
Knives knew that Kayziha was always concern about him; so he played along with her sensitivity towards him so her emotions won't be hurt. She will feel better as soon as knives assured her that he was perfectly ok.
"You don't have to worry about me Kayziha," his voice softly played in her ears. "I'm fine, and this is the only way I can think... It's just that I have a lot on my mind since I got here." Knives said, making his grasps on her hand a bit tighter. Her present was like a drug to his system, he had to be strong in self and morals when he was around her. Her warm skin, so full of life turned him on in many ways; ways he dared not mention neither played on.
"So what are you thinking about?" She continued, knowing that it was a waste of time, for knives never allowed anyone in his thoughts either, and she was no exception. A moment of silence followed after Kayziha's question. "It's ok; I know you'll never tell me, it was worth a try tho."
Knives turned around and stared in her honey brown eyes. Damn she's beautiful and so naive… why couldn't she be a bitch like Showana… maybe I wouldn't worry so much about her; She too kind and soft. He softly asked, "How do you do it?"
Knives voice sounded tired, confused and lonely. "How do I do what?" Kayziha asked still looking in his eyes.
"You're always happy even when you see things are not right...why? And how do you do it…? Honestly it ticks me off sometimes. But then again; just the sight of you being happy was always good enough for me to loosen up; even though it was always a sham." Kayziha shied away her gaze from his eyes and from the question, as if knives had just taken a peek inside her mind. She could not deny but accept almost everything that knives had just said ... It was facts.
She didn't put a word to knives question which more sounded like a comment.
"All I have to say to you Kayziha is that I want you to keep your eyes open while you're here at this ...place." Knives attitude was always hard to read at times but now maybe he's just being too protective for nothing. It's her father's place For Christ sake. What's here to watch out for?
Kayziha directed her eyes to peer into his reddish orbs again. Under the clusters of stars his emotion had transformed into a protector… making her want him. What the hell. No knives is like a brother to me; I can't have these feeling. She kept telling herself that they had a brother sister relationship, but deep within both their heart they knew; it wasn't true. Knives was the furthers thing from a brother to her. They were wild strangers living under one roof… who had the hots for each other.
Her feelings were turning into serious lust; she was missing someone but it wasn't knives, he was like a substitute for that mystery lover.
She was getting aroused just standing in front of him, making her libido kick into gear or more like overdrive. All these feelings; they weren't for knives, not him at all… but who? Maybe if he had asked her at that moment to have sex with him… she would have screwed the life out of him. How could I be thinking like this…? I'm a virgin!
Knives wrapped his hands around Kayziha embracing her in a hug. Shit! He's making this situation a lot worst. He never went further than a hug, even though Showana thinks he has more than a brotherly love for her. Another reason why Jordon hated knives, because he was able to hug her freely without making her uncomfortable. But when Jordon tried to get close, Kayziha always pulled away... He hardly ever got the chance to even hug her. It was all because of a damn mistake, Jordon hugged her one evening after P.E and doing so gave him a hard on, surely Kayziha felt it pushing against her lower abdomen which got her a bit tensed and to add alcohol to the wound he kissed her, and at a bad time it was. Knives was early enough to see him initiating a kiss on Kayziha earning a hard fist to his face by knives.
Knives warm firm toned athletic body felt comfortable... Warm... Safe, she wanted to stay like this with him for awhile. "It's nothing to worry about, It's... just... that..." He paused for a moment and altered his stuttering words. "I want you to be on your alert… you're not in J.A anymore. That's all."
Still confused by what knives had said Kayziha answered softly with confusion marrying her voice. "Yes... I will." The urge to ask knives what he meant directly by being on her alert, was overtaken by Fear of what the truth may be. Deep in her heart she commune with herself wondering what she should be on her alert about. Knives felt the tension in her breathing on his chest and told her not to worry about it.
Shanyna stood inside, sipping on a glass of pink wine. She looked outside through the window at knives and Kayziha embracing each other. She smiled then released a soft sign, then looked away as if she saw nothing. That Shykiri! He's such a wuss and jerk. Look how close he has her and from the looks of it, he hasn't told her as yet. What idiot. ... No a prissy bitch, that's what he is; A hard knock idiotic puss.
Laughter tainted the house during the course of the night.
