A/N: Genesis seems to like poems a lot… so I thought I could cheer him up by coming up with one for this fic. He'd probably not like it though, because he only likes LOVELESS. This is the poem I took the pleasure of writing as a whole. At first I just created a few verses, but then I created a whole poem, just to see if I can do it.

The title of the poem is ''Fly With Me''. It tells the story of an angel who looks upon the world with the same eyes as hell. But then the angel falls in love with an Ancient human but because love between a human and an angel isn't allowed, he must now choose; his love or his divinity. The angel cannot choose, so he tries to trick the Goddess in keeping both. This action almost costs him his own existence and is thrown on the earth to die for what he has done. However, after his love cries out for him, the Goddess softens up and gives him the privilege to become a mortal angel with one wing. The angel marries his love and they live together happily for many years. Because he was still a half angel, he couldn't die like his love did. After she died, he transforms into a flower on her grave. And not even once did the flower die, not in the freezing winter or in the hot summer… he stayed by her side even in death.

.:Fly With Me:.

Prologue

What is the immortal love?
Is it worth of your divine life?
Walk among humans as a mortal,
but wings you may lose.

Would your heart be able to choose,
or would you crumble into tears of sand,
death awaits you anytime,
the love you choose will be your eternal damnation.

the choice is yours.

Act 1

The world was never like this before,
full of sadness may it seem today,
as the cries of a child, the ferocious sounds of battles,
echo in the distance like the Goddess' cries.

The slaughtered will never pray again,
for their life is finished and meaningless now,
their souls condemned to eternal suffering in purgatory,
never to see the blue skies again.

The angel, with hidden disgust in his eyes,
wonders the blood that soaks the ground,
the clashes of the swords and the smell of gunpowder,
the war itself and painful cries… why is it such a pleasure?

He turns away from the world to flap his wings;
this world is not the one he used to know.
What happened to peace and generosity?
Is it not anymore a sacred virtue of its people?

no, it is not the world you used to know.

Act 2

And yet, no matter how much darkness holds the world in despair,
an unknown light will always shine in its place,
providing a new hope and chance,
for all forgotten humanity.

When the angel looks upon the world again,
the sole innocence and purity reveals itself before his eyes.
He's dazed at first… how can such a pure creature exist in this world,
on this filthy and disgusting planet?

His eyes cannot tear away from the being,
a beautiful woman in the search of the Promised Land,
with eyes of the sea and the silk hair of night,
and the tricky mind of a labyrinth.

The cherub watched the woman,
every day and every night,

the greatness of her could be written in poems, stories and journals,
before he finally realized this new emotion called love.

He had fallen in love with the woman,
sometimes he hid his wings,
and walked the planet as a mortal,
just to talk to her, see her smile, embrace her thin body.

The angel was already doomed for his approaching downfall,
he allowed his feelings to interfere,
he saved the human girl,
he allowed her destiny to change to keep her by his side.

he will not be welcomed back again.

Act 3

The cherub returned to his divinity once again,
only
to be approached by the others,
did he know what he had done?
Did he know he broke the pact?

Love is not an angel's virtue,
especially within the human's heart,
only
punishment you deserve,
traitor to the Goddess.

His love and affection for the woman blinded his mind,
the world didn't seem a hostile place ever again,
they eventually declared,
his immortal heart softened by the Ancient herself.

The punishment you now take for yourself,
do you wish to have your wings,
or do you wish to be with the human,
choose now, traitor, but whatever you decide,
you will feel pain for the rest of your life.

The angel objected greatly,
how can he choose between his wings or his love!
If he chooses his wings, he will be immortal again;
he can walk on clouds and fly under the blue sky.

But what would become of his love?
If he doesn't return to her,
her heart will be broken, together with his,
could he stand the betrayed look in her eyes?

another way there might be.''

Act 4

How to choose between your wings,
and your mortal love?
No fortune awaits you on this path;
you may die while walking on it.

Both you choose instead,
and try to trick them to accept it.
I was right about you;
you are blinded by her heart.

The trickery you think will be a successful one,
the Great Goddess you will betray;
your life will be a fulfilling one,
only if they never find out your further treachery.

The angel begins his battle for both he cares,
his trickery advances smoothly and clean,
but the Goddess you may never defeat,
banish you to earth I will, traitor to your kind!

An embarrassment you are,
you cannot trick the lady of the planet's spirit,
to earth you fall, without your wings,
you are let to die in shame!

The cherub falls without his graceful wings,
his landing on earth is a painful one.
He tries to stand on his feet, but he fails again,
a single tear he sends to the ground,
and awaits till his final judgment.

I'm never going to see you again.

Act 5

The Ancient still waits for her knight to come back,
why is he so late, where did he go?
A recognizable pain shudders her heart,
has he forgotten about his promise?

Suddenly, a cry she hears from the distance,
the anguished cry of her knight fallen on earth,
he is hurt, alone and ready to die,
I must find him and help him!

She reaches him and finally realizes,
she feel in love with an angel,
battered wings from his back are falling to pieces,
he was condemned to his inevitable downfall.

The woman cries and embraces her fallen angel,
he surely will die, for her he will die,
why does anybody have to die?!
Isn't there already too much suffering?
Isn't there anything she can do?

She cries out in a prayer and prays for this angel's life;
bring him back to me, spirit!
Why does he have to die, did he do that bad?!
A man who gave me a new chance in life,
does not he deserve love?!

Please, I want him back.

Act 6

The lady of the planet hears the incoming prays,
but why should a man, an angel or not, like him survive?
He broke the pact and betrayed them all;
do you really wish to live with a man like that?

The woman continues to cry,
the dying man slows his breathing,
she tries to pray further and further,
she must not stop, she needs to continue!

The Ancient continues her prayer in tears,
the Goddess almost annoyed by the preaching,
but she listens to the woman's reasons,
may it be good or bad.

She talks about her life as a void of nothingness,
until this angel came into her life,
he gave me a new meaning, a new heading,
I would be lost forever without this gentle soul!

He needs me, I need him,
we have found perfect love for each other!
I don't care how hard it may be in our future,
I cannot live without him anymore,
I would do anything for our love!

The Goddess listens and thinks, should he live or not?
The heart of this Ancient truly is pure;
she has done so much for the planet,
many things that none other could imagine.

your prayer has been accepted.

Act 7

She breaths a new life into him,
with a part curse for his previous actions,
you may live as both an angel and a man,
but only one wing you will receive, fallen angel.

He moves and looks up,
his love has rescued him again,
they embrace, happy to be together,
happy to be alive and perfect for each other.

As a man and a woman they have now entered the sacred truce,
forever together, never apart by wars or danger,
their love has never faltered,
not by years nor ages.

Years have past, the Ancient began to age,
while the angel could only watch,
he knew this was his fault, his curse he had above him,
as a part angel, he still couldn't die.

She died and he cried by her grave,
his heart filled with sadness as he falls to his knees,
he started to pray and pray,
please, let me be with her, forever!

The Goddess hears the incoming prayer,
sending him to his fated doom,
his only wing crumbles into ashes and he himself,
crumbles into the earth on her grave,
from where he rises as a graveyard flower.

you should have known this would happen.

Epilogue

The immortal love never dies,
not as an angel nor a human being,
you have learned your choice,
you are now forever beside her.

The flower on her grave to this day,
resided by her side,
could it be an immortal love,
or a love that follows throughout life and into death?

We may never know the truth,
but we know that the angel's flower,
filled with sadness and unbreakable love,
has never died in the winter nor succumbed to the heat of the summer.

Just as he promised to his love,
he remained by her side,
regardless of life and death.

as I forever, follow you in death.
