Nico POV
Something about this guy didn't seem right. Will didn't seem to notice it and was chatting with him. But I definitely thought that something was off. And it wasn't just his fashion, which was WAY too flamboyant. I tapped Will on the back of his hand. He turned his head slightly and nodded. Good, so he had felt it too. Suddenly his head shot up. He stood up.
"Nico, I gotta use the restroom," Will said, walking away, reaching is hand for his pocket.
I understood then. Chiron had let us leave camp for a while, but under the condition that one of us Iris messaged as soon as we were in a restaurant.
Just then a tall guy around Percy's age, maybe a little older walked over.
"Magnus! Sorry it took me so long. Jace was..." he stopped. "Who is this?"
"This is a young man who I talking to, due to the shortage of tables. His date just left to use the restroom. And yes, I understand. Jace was being Jace," the glittery guy, Magnus apparently, sighed.
"I'm sorry, are you who he," here I gestured to Magnus, "was waiting for?"
"Oh! He speaks!" Magnus laughed. "I didn't know you could."
I glowered at him while the tall guy frowned.
"And do you have a problem with that? That he was waiting for me not a girl?"
I almost laughed. He was lecturing me about homophobia? I was about to answer, but I saw Will heading back. I figured this would be more effective.
"Hey Will," I called, choking back my laughter as the tall dude looked up.
As Will came over and grabbed my hand, the guy looked embarrassed.
"So you're who this guy was waiting for. Magnus, right?"
Magnus and the tall guy looked at Will.
"Oh, I have my sources," Will shrugged, and I figured he meant Chiron. "Now, why don't we go somewhere better to talk. We can answer you questions, and I am rather curious to some things. Such as, I was told you don't date mortals."
