Rin's thoughts

Rin POV

A dim ray of light woke me from my deep sleep, judging from the crust around my eyes I assumed I cried myself to sleep after Sesshomaru-sama had returned and swept me off of my feet (quite literally). I shifted a bit and felt something soft and plushy, I brushed it with my fingertips; remembering its texture I had no doubt it was Sesshomaru-sama's mokomoko.

I ran my fingers through my messy hair and rubbed my temples trying to process what exactly happened last night. I had trouble sleeping and went out to my favorite place, I heard a noise, was reunited with Sesshomaru-sama, yelled at him, lived to tell the tale, and received a vaguely worded explanation as to why he returned. I shook my head and pinched the bridge of my nose, maybe all of this was too much to comprehend all at once, I figured I should go and ask Kagome-san for advice.

I moved quietly as to not wake the sleeping demon in my room I walked over to my drawers to grab a comb to attempt to detangle my unkempt hair. Start from the ends move upwards towards the roots to help prevent breakage. Kagome-san had given me well needed advice throughout the years, not necessarily hair care tips but they were nice to know as well.

"I wonder if Sesshomaru-sama will come with me…then again Inuyasha-san may not particularly enjoy his company." I thought aloud.

"This Sesshomaru will accompany you, just keep the mutt away from me."

I carefully covered my laugh with a cough. Except you're a dog demon, given you would be a purebred according to Kagome-san, but you'd still be a dog. I continued to comb on my hair and stole a few glances at Sesshomaru-sama, he looked the same as ever, seemingly frozen at nineteen, with a handsome face, long silvery hair, and an elegant build. I believe the term Kagome-san had mentioned was…swoon worthy? I returned my comb to its designated place and walked over to Sesshomaru-sama, he opened one of his eyes and exhaled through his nose. It's as if he's secretly complaining about visiting his half-brother. I wanted to roll my eyes (not in a disrespectful way), but I felt he would misinterpret the meaning and today didn't seem like a good day to have poisonous claws near my throat…or any day for that matter.

"You don't need to come along if it bothers you so much Sesshomaru-sama."

"Hn, it doesn't matter, I'm used to that mutt and his wife." He said coolly.

"I like how you call your half-brother a mutt, but when it comes to Kagome you talk about her with a smidgen of respect." I said clearly amused about their relationship development.

"Hn, she's more respectable." Sesshomaru-sama definitely acknowledges Kagome-san and Inuyasha-san as family.

I kept quiet and continued on with my morning routine. Next was breakfast which I knew I would probably end up offering to Sesshomaru-sama despite the fact that he never specified what he actually eats. Best to offer and be polite than not at all.
