Mycroft made it home, shutting the door behind him. Greg wasn't home yet.
He sat on the couch, placing the gift on a coffee table. He entered his mind palace to skip the time, constantly leaving in case Greg gets home.
Mycroft waited, and waited.
And then the door clicked, and almost slowly opened with a small squeak. Mycroft looked over the back of the couch and smiled when he saw Greg. He grabbed the gift and his it behind his back, walking to the other.
"Hello love," The red-haired greeted, getting a "Hello, gorgeous." In return. Greg walked closer and gave Mycroft a small kiss on the cheek before stepping back and admiring Mycroft, who pulled the gift out from behind his back.
Flowers. A classic. "H-Happy Valentine's day?" Mycroft smiled a bit. "Happy Valentine's day." Greg said, more calmly. He was holding bags, and he walked to the couch with the taller following. They sat down, Greg placing the two bags on the coffee table.
The shorter took out a small vase of reddish flowers, he took one out and placed it behind Mycroft's ear. In the other bag, Greg grabbed the classic heart chocolates, offering them to his lover. Mycroft took it, mumbling a small, "Thank you." Before opening it. He looked at the chocolates nervously before picking one up and shoving it in his mouth. After chewing and swallowing it, he grabbed another one before a hand grabbed his.
Mycroft looked up. "Don't force yourself, Myc." Greg gave a serious look, clearly concerned. Mycroft nodded and set the box aside, the other let his hand go. "Greg..?"
The shorter's expression changed. Mycroft grabbed the flowers again. "D-Do you want to go out? For dinner?" Greg nodded, smiling. "Of course!"
The rest of the day went great.
