Hey guys look I'm alive! I'm so sorry for not updating and laziness is to blame. Here are the stories I will update as of now: A New Life, Love Can Come From Troubled Pasts, and this story which will now be just a collection of fluffy greenfire oneshots. This was a spur of the moment update so try not to be too disappointed if you don't see any more updates for awhile. I will promise to try to get at least one new chapter for both ANL and LCCFTP before 2015. Trust me, my sister JayandNya4evr will make sure that happens. My decision to make this a oneshot collection came from a review by NewRandomChild01. So thank you to her for inspiring me to continue this! ^_^

Kai's True Potential

Kai reached forward. 'It's so close!' he thought. The final fangblade was just out of reach.

"Ugh, why won't my power unlock!?" he shouted in frustration wile throwing his hands up in the air.

"Kai! Help me!"

Kai looked up. Lloyd was standing on a rock in the middle of the rising pool of lava. He looked back at the fangblade. Then back at Lloyd. Fangblade. Lloyd. With a sigh, he jumped across two smaller rocks and onto Lloyd's little island. He pulled Lloyd close to protect him from the molten rock surrounding them.

"But what about the fangblade?" Lloyd asked in concern.

"Forget it. We have to get out of here now!" Kai said and used his spinjitzu to move them to a safer rock raft. Lava was exploding around them. Kai pulled the younger boy closer to shield him from the heat and magma.

"What are we gonna do?" Lloyd asked, fear lacing his voice. Kai looked into his bright, lime green eyes, wide in terror.

"I don't know yet, but trust me I'll think of something," he said while looking around for any means of escape.

"Damn it," he said under his breath, " Why won't my true potential unlock?!"

"Can I help you figure it out?" Lloyd asked. Kai looked down at him.

"How?" Lloyd glanced around thoughtfully.

"Well, Uncle said that your heart is the key right? So is there anyone special for you to live for? besides Nya I mean. Like you 'like-like' them?" Lloyd asked.

'Is he blushing?' Kai thought. 'No, it's gotta be the heat.'

"Well actually now that I think about it, no one really. Nya is my world and I guess I never really thought about falling in love," Kai said. Lloyd nodded.

The lava was rising faster and their little platform was sinking at an alarming rate.

"Well what if someone liked you? Do you think that would work?"

"I don't really know. Your uncle isn't very good at being specific."

Lloyd took a deep breath and coughed as he inhaled smoke.

"Kai, take off your mask. Please?" Kai looked at Lloyd in confusion. What was he planning.

He did as he was told and pulled his red ninja hood back to reveal his face. Lloyd's breath hitched. 'Ok Lloyd, you can do this. Your lives probably depend on it,' the boy thought before standing on his tiptoes and pulling Kai down into a quick kiss.

To say Kai was surprised was an understatement, but something felt right about it somehow. Like everything just clicked into place. Suddenly he felt a feeling towards the boy that he hadn't felt about anyone else. He had to protect him. Kai pulled on his ninja hood wordlessly and was enveloped in red light.

"Kai?" Lloyd asked. Then Kai grabbed him around the waist with one arm and formed a protective bubble of power around them with the other.

The pair flew out of the volcano and to the Bounty. Kai pulled his hood off and smiled at Sensei before passing out after the bubble disappeared. Later on they found out that Lloyd was indeed the green ninja, and his family drama became even more complex.

Epilogue after final battle

Lloyd was sitting on the roof of the ninjas' old apartment building. He watched the cranes moving pieces of buildings as the city was slowly rebuilt under the instruction of a man named Cyrus Borg. He was so lost in thought that he didn't hear someone come up until they sat next to him.

"Hey," Kai said. The golden ninja jumped a bit in surprise.

"Oh hey Kai. You surprised me," he said, relaxing as he realized there was no threat. Kai smiled.

"No, you surprised me."

"Huh?" Lloyd asked confused.

"Maybe this will help you remember," Kai said before taking ahold of Lloyd's face and gently kissing him. Lloyd was shocked at first, but then leaned into the kiss. Kai pulled away much to soon for the hero's liking.

"Remember now?"

"The fire temple," Lloyd said with a nod.

"Ever since that day, I've felt I have something else to protect besides Nya. In fact something even more precious because I know Jay's got her covered," Kai said while looking out at the cityscape.

"What?" Lloyd asked. Kai looked him in the eyes and Lloyd saw a firey passion burning in that amber gaze.

"You"
