Now as for the story…

Chapter 2: Brittney and Sarah.

Rachel's POV.

"We're here Miss Dare." The driver said pulling me out of my thoughts. I hadn't bothered to learn his name along the drive, keeping to my thoughts. Gods help me if I tried to learn the name of every driver in my father's company. So it had been a quiet ride from the New Hampshire airport.

I stepped out of the limo and looked up at what would be her new home for the next school year.

It was a castle, an old castle. Made of stone, with gates that ware twenty feet tall and at least thirty feet wide.

It reminded me of the times that I used to wish to be a princess and live in castles. I would dress up in a Cinderella outfit and run around the mansion. Liz would chase me and we'd end up being shouted at by either my father or my mother. But we would always laugh about it in the end.

At the gate, two guards stood. Firm and tall, unwavering. However, when I stepper over to the gate, they both stepped forward at the same time and puled with all their might. The metal dragged on the cobble pavement. When it was open enough, I stepped into the school grounds.

My bags were on a trolley, but the uneven pavement made it so the wheels got stuck constantly. When I managed to drag my bags up the stairs, two guards once again stepped up and pulled the wooden doors open.

I stepped into the office and looked around. It was decorated with the school colors, both which I hate, baby pink and gray. I compressed the urge to shudder and walked over to the receptionist. She had brown hair in a tight ponytail, and brown eyes. She was wearing too much make up and was chewing a pink piece of gum between glossed lips. She looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

"Your name sweetheart?" She said in a raspy voice.

"Rachel Elizabeth Dare." The receptionist popped a bubble and typed my name down on the black computer in front of her. After a few seconds, she stood up and went into a door labeled: Teachers and staff only.

Meanwhile I looked around, to my right there were cushioned chairs under a wall-to-wall window, and the door was in front of the desk. To my left, there was a long hallway. The whole office was carpeted in gray, and the walls were painted in rows of pink and gray.

The receptionist came back and handed me a pink and gray leather purse.

"In there is your schedule and map of the school," She pointed to the purse, "Your room key, your room is written on your schedule. Your lock, your luggage was sent ahead," I looked down and realized my bags were gone where I left them by the door when I came in.

"And your roommates are already up there. I assume you know you will have to wear the uniform during school hours." She looked at my t-shirt and paint splattered jeans distastefully. "The purse is yours to keep. As for that, Welcome to Clarion Academy for girls."

I thanked the lady and walked out the door. I pulled out my map and studied it carefully, memorizing it quickly (one of the perks of being an oracle), I pushed it back down in the purse and pulled out my schedule.

I scanned the paper briefly before memorizing the room number at the top. I walked to my room, pulling out my key and unlocking the door. I opened the door to find 3 beds each, with 2 shelves on top and a bedside table with a lamp on top and 1 drawer, on the wall in front of me.

On the right wall there were 2 doors, which she assumed one was the bathroom he other she had no idea, and on the left wall, a small fireplace and 2 couches with a small "library" (or a couple of shelves with a few books.) Under those shelves were three silver-blue lockers. That's when I noticed the 2 girls.

There was one in a green bedspread with leaves designs, reading a book. She had brown hair, almost black, and brown eyes the color of dirt, they weren't ugly but actually very pretty, glossy and they sparkled warmly, with golden flecks. She was wearing a blue thigh length sweater with brown leggings. Her feet were bare curling and uncurling at a soundless rhythm.

The other girl, however, had (dyed) blond hair perfect ringlets. She looked like a fake Annabeth. She had starling blue eyes that sparkled in the light. She would have been extremely pretty if she wasn't wearing the ton of makeup, making her resembles an owl (no offence Lady Athena). She was standing on a pink bedspread, arranging her many (pink) bottles of perfume on her shelves.

As soon as I opened the door, they both looked up. The girl with brown hair smiled. She reached over and grabbed a blue bookmark from the bedside table and placed it in her book. She set the book aside and stood up, brushing inexistent dust from her sweater.

The other girl jumped down from standing up. Settling on her knees, she smiled. Not a welcome smile or even a hi smile; it was more of a yay! More people to torture smile. The other girl walked over, held out her hand, and smiled.

"Hi, I'm Sarah Calantha." I smiled back and took her hand, almost immediately, my mind clicked and a voice (very much like Annabeth's) told me that Calantha meant "Lady of flowers" in Greek.

Staying at camp had defiantly done me good. I could now speak fluently in ancient Greek, and had gotten my own Celestial Bronze dagger (it was very convenient; it couldn't hurt her but could kill monsters) incases where a monster decided that it wanted to attack.

I nodded at Sarah and gave her a friendly smile, "Rachel Elizabeth Dare" she replied to the brown-eyed girl. I turned to the other girl,

"Brittney Abaddon, but sweetheart," she said in a pitiful voice, suddenly it changed to one of disgust, "what in the world are you wearing? You are a disgrace to us girls!" She motioned to her own dress and sprang back to what she was doing beforehand.

"Don't worry, she's always that way" Sarah told her. Rachel looked at her incredibly, and raised her eyebrow.

"Really?"

"Yea, since I got here a couple hours ago." Well then I thought to myself her name fits her.

See I remembered overhearing the Aphrodite girls talking about what "Percabeth" would name their kid. They began looking up names in a baby name book their mom had given them. Drew had read out loud so that the whole cabin could hear. She remembered Abaddon meant "Destroyer." Sarah pulled her out of her thoughts by asking.

"Do you paint?" I shot confused look at her until she pointed to my bags. There was a variety of easels set up around my bed, the one nearest to the left wall.

I nodded, "Oh, yea I love painting."

"Cool, what else do you like to do?" "I-" I got cut of by the speakers,

"Ladies it is now time to sleep, have a good night and remember, you have classes tomorrow." The intercom on the ceiling said. Sarah groaned.

I smiled and went over to my duffle bag pulling out my pajamas and going to the bathroom. I took a quick shower brushed my hair and teeth then walked out. Sarah was reading in pjs, and Brittney was waiting outside the door.

"Could you be any slower?" she snarled. I shrugged, "I could go back in…." I replied with a smirk. She just growled, pushed me out of the way and walked into the bathroom. Sarah looked up from her book, grinned at me and kept on reading. I went over to my locker and piled my stuff inside. I took the lock out of the purse and set that inside with the rest of my stuff. I set the code and locked my stuff, satisfied.

I set my alarm clock and got in bed as soon as Brittney came back. She lay down and closed her eyes. Sarah put her book down, turned off the light and rolled over, quickly falling asleep, followed by the she-devil moments later. I muttered a quick prayer to the gods and fell asleep, not even imagining what surprises tomorrow would bring.

That's the second chapter edited, it didn't take as long because I thought the end was pretty good. Woo! two chapters in a day! Tell me what you think of the edits. And if you are a new person who didn't read this before it was edited… well amazing for you!

Love you guys, see you soon!
