LOG 1.2

Hello again.

It has come to my attention that I didn't think this through. Not well, at least.

So here's the gist of what went down; after work, I took my flying machine out of the cellar with Grape Vine's help. Well, allow me to explain what the Mark 1 looks like first.

Basically, it's a glider with a rotor on the top. Fancy.

Grape Vine and I decided to use the hill to gain velocity for lift off. The idea was that it would have power enough to put me above the the apple trees of sweet apple acres.

So, I had taken off and everything seemed fine! Hover? Fine. Tilt? Fine. Slowing? Fine. But then the sky went black.

Lighting and wind. So much of it. Suddenly; Hover? NOT FINE. Tilt? NOT FINE. Slowing? NON-EXISTENT.

I swear, I nearly got hit by lightning 4 or 5 times, but thankfully it was only the wind that brought me down. I crashed into the apple trees and blacked out. Grape Vine found where I'd crashed.

"Dear Celestia… Are you okay?" She looked worried.

"Not necessarily. Doesn't seem as though I broke anything. Well… Besides the machine, of course."

A rainbow zipped across the sky. "Wow... Amazing." I remembered it was Zap-Apple season.

We apologized for any damage that may have been caused and asked if they'd need help with the harvest.

I helped out. Grape Vine got some Zap-Apple jam, and then we were off to home.

"So... You're absolutely certain you're okay?" Grape asked on the way back. "You were struck by lighting?"

I replied, "well, it bucking hurt, but would seem that I'm not singed." I'll have a look into the events that took place and examine a better standing for future tests.

Test Results:

Hover: Good

Tilt: Good

Slowing: Good

Turning: Could improve

Protection: Definitely needs improvements

Extra Notes: The hover is perfectly fine in normal sunny weather. Upgrade the handling. Specifically the turning. Look into wind resistance.
