Hiya!
Long time no see. I am still alive.
This one-shot turned into a two-shot, and might turn into a more-shot someday if my lack of creativity allows it.

One box was still standing on the floor next to her shuffling feet. People had almost tripped on it in their rush to find gifts for their loved ones.
Rikku apologized to yet another woman that eyed her angrily for almost tripping. She had put up a warning sign so people wouldn't trip, she had even put it on the edge of the box so it would be off the ground and clearly visible, it didn't help, people still didn't see it and tripped despite her precaution.
Rikku sighed. This box was the last one to unpack before she could go home.
She liked Christmas, but she didn't like working when christmas was just around the corner. It wasn't that she'd rather be out shopping for her friends and family, even though that would be nice too —no, she didn't like working around Christmas because people turned into vultures to get what they wanted. Basically trampling all over themselves, others, and even the store personnel.
She finished hanging the dresses, she made sure they were all hanging neatly and color coordinated before she pushed the box to where the pants and hats would be.
"Well look what we have here!"
Rikku spun around, and her neutral expression broke into a wide grin. "Fang!"
She held her arms out and the taller girl walked into her embrace.
"Rikku! How are ya?" Fang stepped out of their embrace. "Haven't seen ya in like... three weeks?"
Rikku shrugged. "I'm fine. Well, a bit beaten I suppose, it's been busy these two weeks with everyone out Christmas shopping for the holiday," she sighed. "Off duty today, huh?" she said and glanced at her friend's attire before picking up a bunch of neatly folded pants to put up for display.
"Yeah, finally havin' a day off for once," Fang chuckled from behind her.
"That's nice, I'm off this weekend, I'm really," Rikku paused and turned to Fang. "really looking forward to being off this weekend," she turned back to the box to place out a few more stacks of pants. "This is my fifth day in a row and I got two left before the weekend," she sounded miserable.
"Rough," Fang said and examined a sweater hanging nearby. "Don't over work ya, wouldn't want yer pretty head to go spinnin' so you end up burnt out, y'know," she smiled compassionately towards her friend, who smiled back.
"It's fine Fang, I can handle it, if I grow tired I can just ask someone else to take care of things like this and I'll just wander around the store for a while helping people," she shrugged. "No biggie."
Fang smiled at this. "Well since yer off this weekend, ya wanna go to this Christmas party I've been invited to?"
Rikku was busy hanging up caps, so she didn't look at the raven haired girl as she replied; "Yunie mentioned something about a Christmas party actually," she mumbled.
"Ahh but Rikku, you can't bail on this, you gotta join me!" Fang whined. "Or invite me to the party ya guys are going to," she added and wiggled her eyebrows."
Rikku laughed. "Sure, it's a party at my friend's house, his parents are out of town and he wanted to have a party." Rikku picked up the, now empty, box to fold it. "I don't think he understands what it means to hold a party at your own house though," she said and frowned at the thought of having to clean up afterwards.
"Woah, sounds a lot like the party I'm going to," Fang said absent-minded as she looked at another sweater. She sucked in a breath and grinned at the blonde. "Oh right," she said as chuckled. "I was wonderin'..."
"Shoot," Rikku said as she stepped around her friend and started making it towards the back of the store where they had the disposal area.
"What happened between you and Sunshine?"
Rikku's mind, heart and step staggered for a millisecond. The same instant her mind noted who Fang was referring to, her mind flooded with images and memories of the girl she had fought hard to forget.
"Who?" she faked, and cursed internally that her voice broke.
Fang let out a barking laugh. "Oh c'mon now, sweetie," she trailed Rikku as the younger girl hurried towards the back. "I know you went home with her," she said and smiled fondly. "I think ya looked kinda cute together, to be honest."
Rikku glanced back at her friend, her insides grew warm at that and at the genuine smile the raven haired girl gave her.
"Yeah, well, okay," Rikku sighed. "I suppose it was kinda obvious what happened that night."
Fang nodded. "Ya were all over each other, and before I knew it ya both were gone," she said and chuckled. "I asked Sunshine about it and she only changes the subject, there's no way of getting her to talk about it so I can only assume what transpired after you left," Fang chuckled.
Rikku's cheeks colored heavily. "Shut up," she mumbled.
"Fine, I'll just drop it, I'm gonna assume it was awful and that's why ya aint talking about it," Fang winked at Rikku who narrowed her eyes playfully. "Well, I gotta get going," she said and stopped. Rikku turned to her and held her arms out, to which Fang stepped into her embrace once more.
"Enjoy your day off, Fang," she said and squeezed her friend a bit tighter.
"Ya, take care Riks, I'll text you later about that party," she gave Rikku a point-and-wink expression which made the younger girl giggle happily, before she waved goodbye and turned to walk out of the store.
Rikku waved after her, and went into the storage area in the back to throw out the boxes she had emptied and demolished.

"Woah, that was intense," she groaned as she collapsed into the passenger seat. Glancing over at the driver's seat, Lightning was in the process of stepping in. She had just finished waving at their colleagues that had been at the scene with them. Fang's eyes widened and she sat shot right up. "Hey, ya okay?" she asked as a worried crease appeared between her brows as she pointed her finger towards Lightning's chest.
Lightning blinked at her, before glancing down at herself. A small gasp escaped her. "Oh, I'm fine. This is not my blood," she said and pointed at the blotches of blood that was now beginning to dry up on the chest of her uniform. "And I agree, the situation spun out of control for a bit," she said and started the engine of their patrol car. "I'm just glad I don't have to clean this up," she said and once again glanced down at her stained jacket.
Fang nodded slowly. "Yeah, ya did a great job steerin' things up tho, if ya hadn't wrestled that guy down that quickly, I don't think things would have gone as smoothly as it did," she said and smiled at her partner. This earned her a content smirk.
Driving out of the marketplace where they had just interrupted a roughhousing between a group of people, Lightning steered the car back towards the Corps headquarters, Lightning intended to go back and change her uniform and for her and Fang to put in some files about their arrest. She didn't come too far though, before Fang yelled and pointed to the side of the street, startling her so bad she almost dropped the wheel.
"Lightning pull over!" she yelled as she threw her pointing hand in front of the pinkette's face.
The car screeched as Lightning swiftly made a stop.
Fang practically threw herself out of the car, and jogged up to a pair of girls. Lightning watched her go and sighed as irritation bubbled within her, she unbuckled her own seatbelt and got out aswell.
"Hey!"
Spinning around, Rikku's face broke into a grin when she saw who greeted her. "Fang!" she said and held her arms out. Receiving Fang's hug, she released her friend and turned to the girl next to her. "Yuna, this is Fang. Fang, this is my cousin and best friend Yunie," she said and nodded at the raven haired girl.
The girl known as Yuna turned to Fang and nodded. "Glad to finally meet you," she said and smiled, which made her look a lot like Rikku.
Fang grinned happily. "Happy to meet ya too, I've heard a lot 'bout ya," she said and winked.
Yuna turned to her cousin with her hands on her hips. "Really?"
Rikku grinned innocently, before something behind Fang caught her eye.
Her eyes fell upon light-pink, spiky locks that fluttered lightly in the cold breeze. Her deep green swirls then connected with electrically charged azure orbs. A spark pinched her chest as a lightning bolt traveled up her spine, making her suck in a breath that was close to a gasp. She couldn't see anything other than the girl's face. A face that she had been unable to forget, a face that she had worked long hours to suppress from her mind but to no avail.
She didn't even see the blood, not before Yuna reacted;
"Oh mighty Aeons, what happened to you?" the brunette shrieked as her bicolored eyes fell upon Lightning's stained jacket. Rikku's swirls lowered to the pinkette's chest then and her face mimicked Yuna's panicky expression.
Lightning and Fang looked down at her jacket.
The raven haired Guardian's face soured. "My gosh Lightning, why haven't ya changed out of yer jacket yet!?" she barked.
Lightning glared up at her. "That was what I had in mind, when you told me to pull over!" she retorted. "Had I known that you were only saying hi to some friends, I wouldn't have stopped the patrol car like that, you made it seem like it was an emergency!" she frowned deeply at her partner. Her eyes then traveled to the two al-Bhed girls in front of them, who were still eyeing her with worry. "Also, this isn't my blood…" she said and pointed at herself. Fang face-palmed.
"Very nice to see ya girls, I just wanted to stop and say hi," she grabbed a hold of Lightning's shoulders and started guiding the girl towards their patrol car. "But I've got to make this one change outta her clothes," she grinned over her shoulder. "See ya some other time!" Lightning fussed a bit, apparently not appreciating being man-handled.
Rikku sighed softly. Seeing her again caused her emotions to run more wild than she had expected, she had figured a long time ago that it was a crush she had on this pinkette, but she thought it had settled. Apparently not.
Just when Rikku was about to turn around and start walking again, Lightning turned her head to glance back at her, and their eyes met. The blonde froze on the spot, holding the pinkette's gaze for a second. A small smirk curved the pinkette's lip, before she turned around to continue walking to their corps car.
Rikku felt her lungs inflate, not realizing she had stopped breathing. She gasped lightly, before she turned herself around and walked up to Yuna, who had stopped to wait for her staring cousin. Her face was hidden in her blue scarf, she was trying to conceal her burning cheeks.
Yuna saw right through her however, and a small smile spread across her lips as she gazed at the Guardian Corps patrol car that was driving away from them.
She didn't really know what was going on, but she did know that there was something about that pink haired girl that caught her cousin's attention.

Lightning came back to her and Fang's shared office, buttoning a brand new Corps shirt with a new jacket slung over her arm as well. Frowning, she pushed Fang's feet off the raven haired woman's desk. "Please Fang, would you at least act civil and not put your feet up," she muttered as she hung the new jacket on her chair.
Fang snickered but kept her feet on the floor none the less. "Y'know I got invited to a party this weekend a while back, I told ya but dunno if ya remember, one of Paine's friends," she said and lifted her eyes from her phone. "Wanna come with?"
Lightning bit the inside of her lip, she did remember but still hadn't decided what she wanted to do. "What kind of party?" she asked as she turned around and sat down in her chair.
Fang narrowed her brows. "What does it matter?" she asked. "I'm tellin' her yer comin', ya need ta get out of the apartment more, Sunshine," the raven haired girl started tapping on her phone. "I'm sure you'll find someone cute to talk to just like last time," glancing up at Lightning, she shot her a teasing smirk and a wink.
Lightning's brows narrowed. She sighed heavily, knowing better than to fight with Fang about these kind of things. The fact that Fang told Paine that she was coming too didn't matter, she could just stay home anyway. Lightning had found that she and Paine understood each other very well. Even though she could never understand how Paine could stand Fang so much as to wanting to actually be with her.
"What happened to that blonde by the way?" Fang asked as her eyes fell back to her phone.
Lightning's mind flashed back to Rikku, but she knew that Rikku wasn't the blonde that Fang was referring to, and thought back to the last night out that Fang had made her join. "Oh yeah," she sighed. "She seemed a bit nuts, so nothing happened, didn't even take her home or anything," she started sorting the papers on her desk.
Fang blinked at her from her own desk. "A bit nuts? Girl seemed nice, what happened?"
Frowning, Lightning shook her head. "She was way too touchy-feely on me, rather pushing herself onto me from the get-go, and I didn't like that," she said and took out the necessary papers to file today's reports. "She was asking for my number all night even though I said no, and she somehow still got it, because now she keeps texting me and calling me several times a day."
Meeting Fang's eyes then, her facial expression made Lightning suddenly realize who she had gotten the number from. "You?!"
Fang grinned guiltily, squirming a bit in her seat. "Like I said, she seemed really nice..."
Lightning facepalmed and sighed. "I suppose it's fine. I'll just change my number if she keeps this up."
"Sorry Light, I didn't realize she was cray," Fang pouted and earned herself a silent nod from the pinkette, she had already enveloped herself in the reports and Fang knew better than to pester her then. With little else to do, she as well picked up a pen and started filling out forms.

"Pain is asking if we're coming to Hope's party this weekend," Yuna had her eyes directed towards her phone.
"Yeah, sure, I'd like to go," Rikku said with a smile, taking a sip from her tea.
"I'll tell her you're coming; I rather stay at home actually. Lots of homework to do," Yuna replied to Paine's text before putting her phone away. "So what happened between you and the pink haired lady we met today?"
Yuna's question almost made Rikku spit out her tea. Sitting up straight, she stared in shock at her cousin, her mouth opening and closing repeatedly while she tried to find the words to say. In the end, all she managed was a weak; "how'd you-...?"
Yune chuckled at her. "Your whole being changed as soon as you saw her, Rikku. You're rather easy to read," she winked at the younger blonde, who's cheeks darkened into a deeper shade of red.
The blonde sighed. "Okay, I'll tell you," she said and sat back in the couch. She rested the teacup and her hands in the blanket she was wrapped in. Looking at Yuna, she wondered how her cousin would react to the story she was about to tell. But the brunette looked perfectly calm with her tiny smile, as she watched her expectantly, wrapped in a blanket of her own.
"So we met at this party, through Fang actually," Rikku began. "Fang invited me, and when I got there she got a bit wasted and said that she was gonna try and get her friend to come too," she glanced at Yuna. "And then there she was, in all her spiky-haired gorgeousness," she smiled as she gestured towards her hair. They both chuckled. "We got to talking and I think we clicked rather well, and since I had been drinking a bit I kinda went for it y'know," she said and shrugged. It took a few seconds before she realized she had just told her cousin she had been drinking. She quickly glanced up at Yuna.
The brunette was smiling and shaking her head. "You know you're underage," she said and sighed. "Uncle Sid won't be happy if he finds out, he might not let you live with me, pull you out of school and make you move back to Home."
Rikku's face fell into a panicky expression. "Oh no, please Yunie, you wouldn't tell him, would you?"
Yuna chuckled. "Of course not, I like having you with me," she said and smiled brightly. "Continue, please."
Rikku started sweating. "T-that was it," she stammered and swallowed hard. "I-I just kissed her and then we went separate ways."
Yuna stared at her, and raised a questioning eyebrow, obviously not buying it.
Rikku felt herself collapse under the pressure. "Fine! I went home with her and we ended up in bed, then she turned out to be the sweetest person I've ever met!" she spoke so fast Yuna had to concentrate to hear what she was saying. "I have never met anyone who would do so much for me when they've only known me for a couple of hours, she literally gave me her home the whole Saturday! She even gave me clothes go do home in because she didn't want me to be cold, and oh by the mighty Aeons, Yuna!" Rikku paused for a moment, her face no longer happy or nervous, just straight up sad, and Yuna was surprised by this.
"It took a week to stop thinking about the way she touched me that night, it took days after that to stop thinking about her voice and her smile, and even more days after that to stop thinking about her daily. And her beautiful eyes still haunt my memories," she shook her head and looked down into her lap. "I thought I had finally gotten over her, when Fang showed up at work a few days ago. We spoke, and she brought the memories back. And seeing her today, I could barely contain the butterflies within myself," she said and looked back up at her beloved cousin. "I shouldn't be feeling like this towards someone I've barely met, should I?" she asked, and the desperate look Rikku gave her made Yuna want to wrap her in her arms and hold her forever.
Yuna sighed, and took a few moments to gather her thoughts around the things she had just been told.
"Rikku, it's normal to have a crush on someone like this," Rikku seemed to calm down at this. "From what I gather, she's a very kind person. It's no surprise you're attracted to her, really," Yuna smiled. "So how come you're not actually seeing her? Like y'know, dating her?"
The color in Rikku's face drained. "Yuna, I just can't up and go to her like; 'hay ya wanna date' after we both agreed that it was a one night thing! We talked about it and made it clear even!" she gestured as she spoke, then sighed sadly. "No matter how much I'd like to I can't..."
Yuna nodded. "Of course you can, don't be silly."
Rikku groaned this time. "Noo, Yunie, I can't. She'll forever remember me as that crazy needy one night stand that came back after like two months of not even talking!" her frown deepened and she looked even more sad.
Yuna sighed. "Okay," she decided not to press it, seeing as the girl wouldn't change her mind. "I'm sorry, Rikku."
Rikku nodded and took a sip from her mug.
Letting the television drown out the silence, they sat for a while saying nothing.
"She was rather cute," Yuna admitted quietly.
"I know! She's gorgeous!"

Heaving a sigh, she put the phone to her ear.
"Fang, I'm not in the mood."
"C'mooooon!"
"No."
"But c'moooon!"
"No."
"But please c'mon?"
She sighed again.
"Sunshiiiine."
"No, and again, no."
"But Sunshiiiine!"
"Fang..."
"Sunshine!"
"No."
"Dangit!"
"I'm not in the mood and that's final."
She heard a loud groan from the other end of the phone. "She's not in the mood," she heard Fang call out, but she must have forgotten to take the phone away from her ear, because her shout cut straight through Lightning's eardrums. Lightning scowled deeply and held the phone away from her ear. "They say they want ya here," Fang came back into the conversation.
"Who are they?"
"Paine." Lightning could hear Paine say that she didn't have to if she didn't want to. "Shush, I'm trying to make her come here, she's fun, I promise!"
Lightning closed her eyes and pinched her nose bridge, sighing deeply. "You'll stop bothering me if I come over, right?"
"As usual, baby!"
"...don't call me that."
"Okay!"
Lightning sighed heavily. "Fine, I'll come if only to shut you up. Where are you?"

..
She wore the same kind of outfit as she always did when dressing up.
Slim, charcoal colored jeans, with a pale, coral blue long button-up shirt and of course her favorite lightning bolt necklace that she always wore. This time though, she had decided on putting a bit more eyeliner and eye shadow on. She had tried to convince herself that it was because Fang told her to get fancy, and that it wasn't because she was beginning to enjoy herself when dressing up and going to the random parties that Fang made her go to.
Her eyes fell from inspecting herself to her neck, and her hand traveled up to touch her necklace. Memories and thoughts she usually left in a distant place within her mind came flooding back, she bit the inside of her cheek, quickly swatting the thoughts of her younger sibling from her mind, she left the mirror she had been standing in front and texted Fang as she went for the door.
Approximately 30 minutes later, she was walking out of the elevator and going up to an apartment door. It didn't take long for someone to open the door once she had knocked, and she was let in.
It looked like the typical parents-out-of-town-party that she had seen so many times. Several times during her career had she been called to such places when she worked Friday nights and weekends. This place looked like it was in control though and nothing made her Corps senses tingle.
Stepping inside the livingroom, the smell of alcohol, cigarettes and sweaty bodies emanating from the balcony struck her. She frowned at it and started scanning the groups of people for Fang, when a drunk grin made it into view.
"Hey there," a male voice showered her with the smell of beer and liquor. Lightning guessed that he would most likely go down during this hour, judging by the strength of the alcoholic smell and his wobbly stance, he must have downed a lot.
Flashing him a disgruntled look as a reply to his greeting, she tried sidestepping him, but he wobbled back in front of her. "Hey, honey, don' go," he whined and grabbed her shoulder, using her to steady himself. "I jus' wanna talk, fer a bit" he said and grinned, "A purdy girl like yaself shouldn-shouldn't be hanging out by herself," he slurred and Lightning wasn't sure he was even able to see her given that his eyes were directed in separate directions from each other. A sensation by her hip told her he was getting frisky, and she let her body react before she even had to tell it to.
.. ..
Rikku smiled sweetly. Fang must really like Paine, she thought as she watched the raven haired girl hang onto the red eyed beauty. Rikku wished she had someone to hang on to like that, and immediately her mind was flooded with images of Lightning. Images of different flashes from the night they had shared. Her smile, her lustful glance, her annoyed look, and finally an image of the pinkette with sticky hair, half lidded eyes, biting her lip seductively.
Rikku had to force the image out of her mind, because it caused ripples to ravage through her body and end up in the base of her stomach as well as her lower regions. Clearing her throat, she could feel her cheeks fill with blood as she adjusted her position, sitting down suddenly felt very uncomfortable. Not only for the tight pitch black pen skirt she was wearing.
"How ya doin', Riks?"
Looking back at the pair in front of them, she noticed that they were both staring at her. Paine looked studying, and Fang looked a bit concerned. She smiled at them, and hoped she didn't look embarrassed. "I'm fine, thank you."
She didn't have time to reply more than that before they heard a commotion coming from the hallway.
All of them immediately rose from their seats and made their way over there. When Rikku rounded the corner, her eyes fell upon the pinkette.
She looked like an Amazon goddess as she stood, powerful and strong, eyes directed towards the body at her feet. Anger burned within her usually electric eyes as she twisted the large male's hand that she had in her grasp a tiny bit more, making the guy on the ground groan.
Rikku didn't know if she should feel ashamed for becoming aroused, or is she should be worried for what was transpiring. She never had the chance to make up her mind, because Fang swiftly pushed herself past her and through the mass of teens and young adults that had gathered to see what was going on, and made it up beside Lightning. The raven haired girl then placed her hand on the pinkette's, and talked to her silently.
Rikku didn't let her eyes fall from Lightning's face.
Lightning scrunched up her nose, before letting the guy's hand go. Bending down, she put her face next to his head and ear. Whispering something, he nodded before she stood back up. Fang held her by the arm and lead the pinkette towards where she had come from.
That is when their eyes met.
Rikku felt her insides twist.
Coming up to her, the pinkette stopped right in front of her. The blonde could hear Fang snicker, but she gave it no thought as she stared intently at the azure blue orbs that seemed just as electrically charged as they had seen when they met just a few days ago.
"Hello there," Rikku whispered.
The pinkette smirked. "Let's leave this room, I rather not be around when that slob stands back up," she said and gently took Rikku's petite digits, sending ripples through the blonds body once again. Rikku couldn't help the feeling that came back in her lower regions at the older girl's words, despite knowing that that wasn't the pinkette's intention. She let herself be led by the hand towards the couch where Fang and Paine were sitting once more, the same couch they had been sitting right before the ruckus.
They sat down at the opposite side from the pair. Fang kissed Pain on the neck lovingly and then kept going on whatever their conversation was about, and even though the action itself was rather innocent in the way it was preformed, it still made Rikku flustered because all she could think about was if Lightning would do the same to her, and it made her lower regions uncomfortable again.
She cleared her throat gently and shifted uncomfortably. Just now noticing that Lightning hadn't let go of her hand yet, she was holding it gingerly and was gently rubbing her thumb over the back of her hand.
Rikku stared at their joined hands and felt her face grow very hot.
Looking up at the pinkette, the girl was looking at the other two. Rikku jumped a bit then the older girl suddenly turned to her and leaned in. She felt her insides flutter and tilted her head and chin slightly. When the pinkette stopped and smirked at her just an inch from her face, Rikku felt her cheeks color in embarrassment when she realized that she had made herself ready for a kiss.
"I was just gonna ask how drunk Fang is," she whispered, still with a bit of a smug smirk. "I see you had something entirely different in mind," her eyes fell down and the blonde guessed that she was eyeing her lips. Her insides was fluttering like mad and hoping for the older girl to lean in and give her what they both seemed to want.
"I am going to get something to drink," the strawberry blonde said, Rikku felt her spirits drop. "Why don't you join me?" the smirk she wore broadened, before she stood up and pulled her along by her hand.
Rikku bit her lip, her pen skirt and neat shirt suddenly felt very tight and uncomfortable.
She was trying to tell herself that nothing was going to happen so that she wouldn't be disappointed when it didn't. They had an agreement last time, that it was a one night stand and nothing more. And even though she actually wanted it to and the older girls was very flirty, it still wasn't given that anything would happen. At least she had already settled her mind and she wasn't going to be that desperate girl that came back and—
She noticed they weren't in the kitchen.
Rikku blinked. They were in the bathroom. She heard the door lock behind her and swallowed.
Suddenly, she was shoved against the wall, she would have been scared of the girl's wrath if it wasn't for the soft body that pressed itself against her.
Rikku gasped.
A hand slithered from her hip, over her abdomen and chest, it slithered up and gently placed itself in her neck, effectively tilting her head so that her lips could easily be claimed. Which they were.
Lightning kissed her hard, and Rikku felt her body explode at her attention. She felt her hips buck and effectively grind on the leg that had forced itself in between her knees, and her hands grabbed at anything on Lightning's back.
Rikku moaned softly into the delicious lips and felt the girl smirk against her own. The pinkette pressed herself harder against her and bucked her own hip, making Rikku gasp and whine slightly.
They parted, and Rikku wanted so bad to dive back in instantly and continue the kiss.
"I know that we had an agreement," Lightning whispered into the blonde's lips before she had a chance to follow her wish. "But what do you say we have-" she paused and softly touched one of Rikku's breast, effectively making her whimper softly. "—another agreement?"
Rikku felt her heart summersault. "Yes, yes please," she whispered while nodding furiously.
The older girl chuckled, before leaning down slowly to kiss her again. Rikku leaned up and met her, sucking at her lips desperately.
Lightning pulled away the tiniest bit, "What do you say we-," she kissed her again, "—find somewhere-," she came back for another kiss, "—more private?"
Rikku nodded into the kiss. She was already panting softly, and she could feel her legs spread almost on their own. She would have been embarrassed by it if Lightning wasn't eyeing her so seductively and appreciatively.
Lightning stepped away and let Rikku pat down her clothing before they exited the bathroom and Rikku went ahead and pulled her by the hand towards the stairs. But before they could reach the stairs Lightning's previous harasser suddenly stepped in front of them and slung his arms around Rikku.
"Where m-might you two be going? Can I join you?" he grinned as his hands traveled down and stopped at Rikku's behind. The blonde was struggling within his grasp but didn't seem to be able to free herself. This made Lightning's blood boil.
Rikku was pushing at the guy's chest, but he was stronger than her and effectively kept her inside his sweaty embrace no matter what she tried. "Get away from me!" she yelled, but he only laughed and squeezed her bum.
Suddenly, she heard a thud from meat hitting meat, followed by a sickly crunch and a muffled groan. Turning her head slightly, she saw blood spurt from his nose and an extended bloodied fist. He let go of her to hold his nose and she immediately stepped away from him.
"I told you to keep away from me, and that includes my friends and interests," Lightning's voice was full of spite and it shook the room like the quakes of a thunderstorm. "It's time for you to leave," she said and pointed to the door. The male nodded, bloods dripping from his hands, before he waved for two of his friends who stood frozen close by to leave with him.
Rikku looked at them as they walked out, and then immediately at Lightning, who was studying her heavily bloodied fist closely. She swallowed, and took Lightning's unused left and pulled her up the stairs.
"Sorry about that," Lightning mumbled as they walked into the upstairs bathroom.
Rikku shook her head and stuffed the pinkette's bloodied hand under the faucet. Lightning let the girl clean and inspect her hand.
"You're not wounded," Rikku said and looked her in the eye. "You okay?"
Lightning nodded.
They stood in silence for a moment.
Lightning scratched the back of her neck awkwardly. "If you're still, er," she began and stuffed her hands in her pockets. "I mean if you're still up for our original plan-"
She didn't manage to say more before Rikku was upon her lips, as hungry as she had been before the bloody incident. Lightning smirked and kissed her back just as hungrily, slinging her arms around the girl's hips.
Rikku pushed her backwards and out of the bathroom, steering them towards a door.
Lightning broke the kiss to look at the blonde. "You move like you know where you're going," she chuckled and smiled.
Rikku soaked in the sound of her laugh and took a mental picture of her smile. "I do," she said and flashed her a lopsided grin. "This is my friend's house."
Lightning nodded, just as Rikku pushed a door open behind her to reveal the master bedroom.
"Whoops, wrong room," she said, but before she had a chance to steer the taller girl towards the other bedrooms, the pinkette pulled her inside and swiftly locked the door behind them. "Lightning!" Rikku shrieked. "This is his parents room, we can't-" she was cut short by a rough kiss that made her forget what she was thinking.
Cupping both of Lightning's cheeks, Rikku cherished the feeling of Lightning's soft lips moving in between her own and the feeling of her cheeks and face against her own face. It was such a delicate feeling, a stray thought of going back to not talking after this night and having to go on without the pinkette made its way into her mind, it caused a painful twinge in her chest.
She ignored it and tried living the moment and enjoy the feeling of Lightning's slightly calloused hands inside her shirt.
Lightning moved on and kissed the girl's naturally tanned neck, licked it, then kissed it again. She could almost feel the shivers running through Rikku's body, and she could most definitely hear her shaky breaths. It brought a smirk to her lips, before she did it again. This time drawing a careful moan from the girl.
Lightning wondered briefly where her fire and hunger had gone, but shrugged it off and led her towards the bed.
Wrapping her arm around the petite girl, Lightning slowly lowered her down upon the covers of the master bed. The pinkette's delicate way of handling her made the blonde frustrated, Rikku was grabbing at her back and effectively slung her legs around her back and pulled her closer.
This caused Lightning's lower regions to react, and she couldn't help herself from bucking her hips and rubbing herself against the younger girl. The blonde didn't seem to mind, because she moaned audibly and bucked into her every thrust.
The pinkette pressed her lips against the tanned girl's collarbones and kept bucking her hips against her, she then swiftly unbuttoned the blonde's top and pen skirt.
When she effectively pulled the petite girl free of her garments, the blonde blinked up at her surprised, before Lightning smirked and dove back down to appreciate the newly freed skin for her to touch, suckle, kiss and lick.
Rikku moaned as Lightning came closer to her bosom, and willingly lifted her back to allow access to the clasp of her bra strap. When it came off, she caught a glimpse of Lightning's appreciative smile before the girl leaned in to finally give her hardened nipples some attention.
Rikku threw her head back and slung an Al bhed curse at the headboard.
Lightning let her hands wander down the toned abdomen, and followed the lace edge of the blonde's underwear.
Rikku seemed to curse again, and sat up, pulling at Lightning's shirt and tight black jeans, a sling of curses mixed with Al bhed flowed from her mouth as she desperately fiddled with the buttons.
Lightning watched her with a smug smirk, she couldn't help it, there was something about this girl's frustration that both amused her and fueled her need to feel the girl's skin.
But the blonde took a bit too long, so she eventually joined her in her struggle. The shirt was then off within seconds, and her tight black jeans on the way down.
Lightning pushed the smaller girl down and kissed her slowly. Rikku wasn't sure how, but she managed to lose her pants at the same time.
Rikku couldn't help thinking that the slow kisses and the way Lightning was touching her hair and body gingerly, meant more than a simple one night stand. The slow, gentle way Lightning started moving against her only fueled her thoughts and it sent warm sensations through her chest, sensations which she couldn't identify immediately.
They were soon out of focus though, as Lightning reached up and unclasped her own bra. Rikku couldn't stop herself, and with a lopsided grin she reached up and cupped the pinkette's now nude bosom. She could hear the pinkette chuckle, but she kept her gaze on the girl's bosom.
However, that was only until Lightning's fingers found their way down inside her lace panties, this made Rikku gasp and look up to meet the pinkette's azure eyes. She was instantly shocked by their electrical charge, then shocked again as Lightning hit her mark and sent shivers throughout her body.
The pinkette's lips curved into a smug smirk as Rikku's breaths turned into desperate gasps. She continued doing little circles around the blonde's hardening knob as the blonde's gentle kneading of her breasts was beginning to have an effect on her too. Soon enough, Lightning was half groaning, half moaning in frustration.
Sitting up briskly, she pulled her hand away from Rikku's panties, drawing a disappointed whimper and a frustrated huff from the girl. With a smile, Lightning swiftly pulled the garment off, before removing her own and slinging both of the pair over her shoulder. Her smile turned into a mischievous smirk as she leaned back down. Stopping at the blond girl's chest, she took a hardened nipple in her mouth and started teasing it with the tip of her tongue, the younger girl put her hand on the back of her head and pushed her harder against her chest, panting and moaning softly.
Tracing her fingertips against the natural tanned skin of Rikku's abdomen, Lightning made her way back to the now very wet folds and hardened knob. She went straight for it and was rewarded by a surprised gasp and a draw out moan when she resumed making circles over and around Rikku's clit.
Rikku soon started bucking at Lightning's hand. Her moans grew more frequent and rose in volume, and soon enough she was pulling at Lightning's head, trying to make the older girl come up to eye level.
Lightning smirked and pinched the nipple between her lips and sucked gently before complying to the increased force of Rikku's pull.
Coming up, Rikku immediately crashed their lips together in a rough and hungry kiss, one that Lightning eagerly replied too.
Rikku couldn't contain herself for much longer. Wanting to make the older girl feel as good as she felt right now, she ran her hand down the pinkette's toned stomach and groaned loudly at the defined abs that met her palm and fingertips. Reaching further down, she panted heavier the closer she got, but just as she was about to reach her destination, a hand swatted hers away.
Rikku's mind flashed back to their previous night they shared where the exact same thing had occurred.
She didn't have enough time to think about it however, because Lightning suddenly plunged her fingers inside her core and curled them to the point where she couldn't hold herself anymore.
As Lightning traced circles on her clit and curled her fingers in her hot core, Rikku all but screamed and wildly bucked her hips against the older girl.
The orgasm lasted forever, and she felt how she lost control of her body and her mind, all she could do was thrash against the furiously smirking girl. Rikku felt provoked by that smug grin and sat up in her lap to crash her lips against Lightning's.
Rikku moaned loudly into Lightning's mouth as they parted briefly, she came back for more soft kisses once her orgasm died down. And as she rode out the aftershock, her mind and her body was twitching and spinning with emotion, that she poured into her kiss and thus onto the other girl. Lightning kissed her back just as slow, as hard and seemingly as meaningful as her own kiss.
Rikku felt her heart thunder within her chest, but this wasn't because of their intense activity just now, it was because of all the emotions she carried inside. She found herself wanting Lightning to feel like their kiss meant as much as she thought it did.
Her body trembled, and she felt all of her emotion swell inside of her.
And suddenly she was crying.
She didn't know why, but tears fell from her swirly green eyes and stained Lightning's pale cheeks.
Lightning's eyes flashed open at the wet sensation on her face. Her pupils shrunk and Rikku felt her heart sink when the pinkette's eyes started flicking around her face.
"I-..." she began, but she had to stop to swallow around the lump in the throat. "I am done," she croaked. "You can pull out now."
Lightning did as she was asked and Rikku got of her lap and sat on the bed.
Lightning was still staring at her, obviously not knowing what to do against the tears that kept streaming down Rikku's cheeks. Rikku couldn't stop herself, and the pinkette's reaction only made her cry more. She hid her face in her hands and tried not to sob, but to no avail.
Lightning didn't understand. This was a first.
Never before had she made a girl cry during or after sex.
She felt awkward and useless. Rikku was sobbing so much her entire frame shook, and she didn't know what to do. Was she supposed to leave her be? Hold her? She didn't know.
Frustrated, she knotted her eyebrows and closed her hands into fists. Swatting away the last of her doubt, she did what she understood friends did when their friend was sad.
Friends sounded like an odd title to their relationship though.
Reaching her arms out, Lightning pulled the smaller girl into her arms and embraced her.
The blonde's sobs grew into wails which made the pinkette wonder if what she did was right, until the blonde wrapped her arms around her and buried her face in the crook of her neck.
It took a few moment for Rikku to calm down. Lightning didn't understand any of what was going on, and the blonde was ashamed out of her wits.
They dressed under awkward silence. Lightning wondered what to say and wanted to ask what that was all about, but Rikku desperately avoided eye contact. When they were fully dressed, they stood still for a moment.
"I'm sorry," Rikku whispered, before dashing towards the door. Lightning felt her heart clench, and rushed up to the blonde.
Grabbing a hold of the girl's arm, she swiftly spun her around and pressed their lips together. The shorter girl gasped gently, but after a moment of hesitation she kissed back. Her hands moved up to cup Lightning's cheeks once more, and the pinkette cherished the sensation of the thin digits against her face.
Their slow make out session ended with a few pecks back and forth, and when they parted for real, Rikku was smiling softly.
"Never apologize for how you feel," Lightning whispered, looking deep into the younger girl's eyes.
Rikku studied her for a moment, millions of thoughts and confessions swiveled through her mind, but instead of speaking her mind she simply nodded silently.
Lightning flashed her a smirk. Taking the blonde's hand in hers, she let her out the room and down the stairs.
The party was dying. Many had gone home already, and some were sleeping in various places. Lightning frowned disapprovingly as she looked around at the drunk teens.
"There ya are!" Fang called as she came up to them. "Where've ya been?" she asked as she slummed against Paine. The red eyed beauty eyed them both before sending them a knowing smirk. Both of them blushed. "Ya were gone quite a while," Fang mumbled to herself when she got no reply.
Lightning looked down at Rikku, who looked up at her, blushing more furiously than herself.
"We were... uh," Rikku began and squeezed Lightning's hand.
"Talking. Upstairs," Lightning said and threw her thumb over her shoulder.
"Oh, well I'm glad yer such good friends!" Fang almost yelled and grinned at them, very obviously drunk.
Paine and Lightning rolled their eyes, and Rikku shuffled a bit embarrassed.
"Yeah, well I'm going home now," Lightning muttered. Fang and Rikku both frowned at this.
"It's time for us, too," Paine muttered. "And I'm not leaving you here alone, you're going home to Yuna's," she said with her eyes on Rikku. The blonde nodded, though still frowning.
Soon enough, all of them were walking down the driveway. As they were about to part ways, Lightning took Rikku's arm in her hand and effectively stopped her from leaving. Glancing at Paine and Fang, she was pleased to see them not notice and keep going.
Turning to the blonde, Rikku was looking up at her with a hopeful expression. This made Lightning smile.
Bending down, their lips met once again in a soft and innocent kiss. Pulling back, Lightning took Rikku's phone and wrote something in it.
Giving it back, Rikku saw that she had added her number to her contacts. She smiled up at Lightning.
"I know we had this agreement, but you should call me sometime," Lightning said. Stuffing her hands in her pockets, she started walking down a different street. Rikku gazed after her dreamingly, and her heart somersaulted when she saw Lightning look back over her shoulder.
Rikku waved at her gingerly, making the older girl smile, before lifting her own hand.
"Rikku?"
The blonde twirled around to see Paine looking back at her.
"Coming!" she called out.
Looking back, Lightning had stopped and was looking at her with a smile. When their eyes met, she gave a court nod and walked off.
Rikku bit her lip and smiled.
She knew what these feelings were, though she was not ready to but the L-word on them yet.
Turning around, she skipped up to Paine and a already half-sleeping Fang.
Paine was smiling at her knowingly, Rikku only winked at her before they resumed walking home.
The blonde took out her phone and saw that the pinkette had only added her first name.
With a smile on her lips, Rikku went in to edit the contact.
Is this a test to see if I remember, huh? Farron?
