A/N Eyyy I'm on a roll. Mostly I just felt bad for just posting a rewrite as opposed to legitimately new content. So here it goes, chapter 2 of Puberty Sucks:

CarPov

"-Would pick her up/drop her off from school to help him out," Carlisle finished as his family stared at him mouths agape as they attempted to process what he had told them. He braced himself for the fight he knew would erupt as soon as his children worked out what he meant and shook his head discreetly when Jasper inclined his head, clearly asking 'do you want me to calm them down?' he didn't. Not yet. It would only cause them to get even angrier when the effect wore off, and Jasper couldn't keep them in a state of bliss for eternity.

"You want us to what!?" "I can't believe you offered-" "-Didn't even ask-" "-Disgusting human-" his family, sans his wife and Jasper, raged over one another.

"Woah Woah Woah. Hold it, all of you. Listen to yourselves! You should be ashamed! Chief Swan has been nothing but nice to this family since we moved here! He even stood up for us when his longtime friend Black made those insinuations about us. Remember?" Esme said as she stared her children down, her face leaving no room for arguments. "And he was the first one to threaten the school when we were going to get you notes covering your absences during sunny days. He never even questioned any of you about it or thought you were faking it for one second. Just took us at our word and left it at that. And now he needs us to make sure his only child gets to and from school alright so that he can get to work. So you will be nice to this girl- this-" Esme trailed off.

"Isabella- Bella," the doctor offered.

"Bella then, you will be nice to Bella and you will offer to drive her to -and from- school. If she declines, you will still be nice to her and let her know that the offer is open, should she need it. Understand?" She finished, eyebrow raised and arms folded across her chest. They would understand. Or there would be... consequences. They all hung their heads in shame/picked at their fingernails as they acknowledged their marching orders.

"What I don't get is why she can't just like... drive herself? Or like at least take the bus or something? Like why do we have to drive her?" Rosalie said as she continued the inspection of her flawless nails. "What!?" she exclaimed when her family scoffed at her or threw a pillow at her in her husband's case. "It's a fair question."

A/N whoo, short chapter I know. Sorry about that but I just wanted to give a little window into the Cullen's side of things. Lemme know what you think.

Also, there's a poll on my profile if you wanna take a second and go check it out. Thanks!
Til Next Time

"And one that he can't discuss with us without violating HIPPA. Right?" Jasper said speaking up for the first time. Carlisle nodded his confirmation and causing everyone else to look towards Edward and Alice.

"Don't look at me! the future's all... wavy when it comes to her. It's easier to tell where she is then what she's doing and even that's a bit of a stretch," Alice said with a shrug.

"And I don't care," Edward said when they shifted their focus solely on him, "and even if I did, it's not anyone's business. I'll talk to her tomorrow alright? Anything other than that? Not my problem," he finished standing up. "Now, a new episode of Musicians through History is on, and I want to see who they're trying to claim is straight this time. And for the record Rosalie, maybe she's not taking the bus or driving because she can't. Think of how Carlisle would know her. And why Alice's visions would be 'wavy.'" And with that, he left the living area and made his way up the stair to his own room.

"Not him for sure," Emmet muttered emitting a 'hey!' when suddenly finding pillows hitting him in the face. "What? We were all thinking it."

"Your brother's sexuality is nobody's business but his own. And the same goes for the rest of you. We don't have a lot of privacy here but try to give each other as much as you can. The same goes for the kids at your school. Just because you can eavesdrop doesn't mean that you should. If you think, hear, or see something that could be worrying, do what humans would do-" at their blank looks Esme clarified, "Tell one of us or a teacher-"

"Or Chief Swan if you believe it's that urgent," Dr. Cullen interjected.

"Or Chief Swan," Esme agreed. "I know you all tend not to get involved, but the world's changing, and someday you might find that you have to get involved, even if it's just driving a classmate to school a couple of times. You should know what to do if something comes up." And with that, she took her husbands hand and the two left to go to their own room, and away from their disgruntled children.

"I still don't get why Esme can't just drive the human if she's so gung-ho about it," Rosalie said to Emmet.

"Maybe because that would look even stranger/be even more awkward than us doing it?"

"More awkward than Jasper trying not to eat her after being locked in a car with her for almost an hour?" Emmet piped in, chuckling when Jasper glared at him.

"Jasper will not be eating anybody," Alice said firmly. "We'll make sure that he's never alone in the car with her. Besides, she might not even agree to the arrangement and we could all be worrying about nothing."

"I'm not worried," Rosalie said with an air of nonchalance. "What? I'm not. I'm merely...concerned that we'll be spending too much time with this...human," she said biting out the word 'human' like it was poison. "It's unbecoming."

"Mmhmm," Alice said eyebrow raised and lips pursed, thoroughly unconvinced even before her husband winked at her. She grinned when her pseudo sister muttered something akin to 'stupid empath' just loud enough for her vampiric hearing to make out. It was going to be an interesting semester if what she could make out from her off visions was anything to go by. Just what her family needed, they had been getting far too laiz-a-faire the last 50 years or so. This would be good for them. Maybe they would even make a new friend. They hadn't had one of those in a while. Just other vampires they saw maybe every 75 years or so. Humans were just too...squishy to make good friends. They'd long since stopped even making the effort. This could be the change of pace that she had been secretly hoping for. When Edward was otherwise preoccupied at any rate.

"Everyone clear on the plan?" she asked one last time after pulling into their parking spot and cutting the engine.

"Whoever has a class with her is too introduce themselves to her and ask if she would like a ride home/to school," Jasper started.

"If she declines-" Emmet said before Rosalie cut him off.

"-or thinks we're trying to kidnap her and freaks out."

"We're too smile, hand her our number, and tell her that the offer stands if something comes up/she changes her mind." He continued, ignoring the interjection, much to the chagrin of his wife.

"And if none of us has a class with her by the end of the day..." Alice said trailing off.

"Then we're too 'accidentally' run into her after the last bell and make the offer then," Edward finished pinching the bridge of his nose, "happy Alice?" she nodded. "Good, now let's go please, or this planning will have been for naught," he said as the warning bell sounded and the five of them followed the remaining students into the building.
