Disclaimer: Nothing vaguely resembling Twilight belongs to me. Only Kassi. :)
Earlier, I pointed out that some of the Cullens have special abilities. Well... so do I.
I am able to erase and manipulate people's memories. I don't need much to go on... just a name... an event... anything. And I don't need to touch you to use my power.
I was changed at the age of eighteen. I have short dark red hair that frames my face, black eyes that are usually gold... so that means I need to hunt soon..., and I have a very foul temper when provoked.
Now, I need to explain my younger years to you.
When I was human, I was a very mischevious child. I was the black sheep of the family, and of course I was disliked by quite a few people that my family knew.
But most of those years I can not remember very clearly. The change and the time has blurred them significantly.
The few things I remember, is a few weeks in Italy with a vampire by the name of Ana Maria.
Ana was my maker, and I was with her for only those few weeks. It didn't take me long to learn self control, because I hated not being in control. I still do.
I killed Ana five days after she bit me in a fit of temperment.
During the two days that I wasn't writhing in agony because of the venom rushing through my system, Ana gave me ten rules to follow when it came to being a vampire.
1. Do not attract the attention of the Volturi.
2. Stay away from humans until self discipline is easily obtained within oneself.
3. Stay away from large cities. Period.
4. Do not feed off of humans.
5. Stay away from rogue vampires.
6. Do not kill your own kind.
7. Stay away from large covens.
8. Stay out of the sunlight when around humans.
9. Kill any werewolves you come across.
10. Don't trust anybody.
I followed those rules for almost a hundred years. I was a loner, I lived alone in a small house in Montana, and I lived off of large predators, depending on what was happening at the time in my life.
I never attracted the attention of humans or other vampires. But you have to understand, I hate being alone. I missed the company of people who I could trust and love. I read books to help ease the boredom, and it was actually Bella Swan's Twilight that caught my attention and let me know that there were others of my kind out there, somewhere.
So what did I do, craving the company of others? I went to look for them. The book Bella wrote told me that she lived in Forks, Washington, so I packed most of my clothes and some books into my 2000 Toyota Corolla LE, and I went to find them.
