Harry Potter was currently in his bedroom at Godric's Hallow taking inventory of his supplies from his dimension in his endless bag and had been for the past few hours. He counted out over 500,000 Galleons which was just below in Muggle money 5 million dollars. There was his old Hogwarts trunk full of his battle robes, weapons, Fire bolt and books. Then there were his sentimental items such as the family photo album Hagrid gave him as a child, the cap from the bottle of fire whiskey Harry and Sirius shared the night before he went back to school in his fifth year. And finally there was a picture of him with Ron, Hermione and Ginny. They were on the beach to the lake with Ron and Hermione arguing heatedly about the age of the giant squid, while Harry and Ginny were sitting under a tree behind them laughing.
It was those days that he was looking to get back, the days before the death and destruction from Voldemort. But he had to remember that it was behind him and that this world would be different, he would make sure of it.
Today was the day he was going to Diagon Alley to get his school supplies, his mother coming along as well even though he had asked to go alone before which she completely shot down. He collected all of his belongings, pulling up the broken floorboard under his bed to hide the bag and began to hum a song that Ginny taught him. It was a lullaby Mrs. Weasley sung to her when she was a little girl and Harry would always hum the song when they were sleeping.
"Harry…" His mother called from the hallway, quickly knocking and interrupting his thoughts. He scrambled out from underneath the bed but knew he wouldn't be able to get up from the floor in time so he rolled to his back and starting doing sit ups as the door opened.
"Are you ready yet?" She asked while laughing at his odd Muggle exercise.
"You bet i am." Harry smiled, jumping up from the floor to follow her downstairs. He silently cast the protective spell behind him to the floorboard with a wave of his hand, his family could never find out he was The Boy Who Lived in another dimension and the items in that bag would surely give him away.
The pair's first stop on the trip much to Harry's displeasure was Gringrotts Bank. The Goblins betrayal of the wizards in his dimension had not been forgotten. Their early alliance with Voldemort had crushed the economy causing even more panic and distrust within the wizarding world. When it became known that the Goblins were seeking shelter in Gringotts bank the entire Order of the Phoenix launched an assault on the bank. The Goblins held out for three days hoping that the Dark Lord would not forsake them and break their agreement but when no Death Eaters came to assist they had no other choice but to surrender to the Ministry and the Order of the Phoenix.
As Lily made a withdrawal from the bank with the unfriendly Goblin teller, Harry never kept his eyes off the pale and black eyed creature. He recognized the Goblin as Nagnok who had laughed with glee as the banks security Dragon burned two members of the Order of the Phoenix alive. As Lily turned away to leave she seemed taken aback by the intensity of Harry's gaze directed towards the creature waiting on them and touched his arm slightly, breaking his attention away from the teller.
But after all in her lifetime she only knew the Goblins as the highly trusted race of bankers they had been for years. She didn't know how bloody and vicious they could be when something they wanted was at stake.
As they continued getting supplies they stopped at a street food cart for some roasted chestnuts when they saw Neville with his parents, who looked young and healthy, a far cry from the catatonic shells he had known them to be at St. Mungos. The moment he saw Neville he couldn't help but get the feeling he was just like Malfoy, walking around the shopping center like he owned the place stuck-up, and seemed to think himself entitled. But he didn't want to judge him so quickly; he would wait to get to know him first before forming a strong opinion.
When they were finally out of earshot, Lily turned to him. "So that was The Boy Who Lived. Try not to gag." His mum spoke in a sarcastic tone when they saw Neville whining to his mother about first years not getting to play Quidditch making Harry grin slightly.
"You don't like them?" Harry asked, remembering that the Longbottoms were friends with the Potters in his time, but he never heard his parents say a word about them in this dimension.
"We actually used to be really close until their son became The Boy Who Lived. Their just difficult to handle nowadays, they act like they run the ministry ever since Neville survived the Killing curse. His dad was promoted to a Captain of Magical Law Enforcement, even though there were plenty who deserved it more than him. Alice was a sweet person too they both just changed after the war, but I guess we all did." She said the last sentence with a slightly disappointed look on her face and they continued walking to the book shop.
The mood lightened somewhat when they arrived at their last stop Ollivanders. As they were entering they stepped aside and saw the Longbottoms leave the wand shop. His parents were looking very proud and Harry recognized the wand that Neville was holding. It was his, the Holly Phoenix wand and he got worried slightly, he didn't know what other wand he could possibly match with. They entered the store but before they could walk ten feet inside he sensed a presence behind them under an invisibility spell and Harry reacted before thinking it through, reaching for the goblet on the counter ready to strike the man who shot a spell at the cup.
The old man's eyes widened in shock as well as Lily's who immediately yelled, "Harry James Potter! What are you doing? You could have seriously hurt him."
"S-sorry. He just startled me." Harry said trying to soothe his mother while Ollivander was watching them with a slightly amused smirk on his face. But his mother shook her head and continued to scold him when he felt an attempt to probe his mind, and Harry immediately increased his mental barriers to full power.
He looked around his mother's shoulder to lock eyes with Ollivander who took a step back slightly at the intensity of his block. Ollivander was not a strong as Dumbledore or Snape but he was still talented, so he made a note of it to be careful around him from now on.
"Hello Ms. Lily Evan Potter. 10 inches Willow with Unicorn hair correct?" Ollivander interrupted her scolding, still eyeing Harry with a delightful yet curious gaze.
"Yes, that's correct Mr. Ollivander. Amazes me that you even remember that after all these years."
"Well, let's get down to business shall we? Mr. Potter, which arm is your wand hand?"
Harry smirked slightly, "I'm Ambidextrous.". He had purposely left his other wand at home, not wanting to take the risk of Ollivander sensing the other wand because he was a Wand Crafter.
"How come you never told us?" Lily said in surprise.
Harry just shrugged. "I thought you had already known." He brushed the question off with ease; he remembered learning how to duel with both hands by Nicholas Flamel and his wife.
"Yes… that's interesting." Ollivander said while the tape measures were working furiously and for some reason taking quite a long time than it normally did. Then began the process of finding the particular wand for him. After ten or so different wands he tried out they were beginning to get restless at the destruction it was causing.
When no wands seemed compatible with Harry he spoke, "Mr. Potter, I have given you all my wands that could match your special capabilities, it seems like none would accept you."
"What? That can't be right!" Harry said shocked. That can't be right. There had to be at least one wand in this shop! He wasn't planning to use his old wand if he had too; there were too many unforgivable's he had cast during the war that if anyone checked it he would surely be caught. And there was no telling how his wand would react to Neville's wand if it got to close or heaven forbid clash in a duel
"However… I do have several wands that you might be able to use. Mind you, it has never worked on anybody for some time. So don't keep your hopes up." He said and walked to the back room, returning with an ancient looking box that must have been a hundred years old.
"Now Mr. Potter, these wands I have in this box, belonged to very important wizards and witches from the past, ancient and powerful wizards from our old history that were known to be legendary."
Taking glance inside the box… Harry had to admit, the wands were impressive. Unlike normal wands that are just one solid color, many of these were decorated with gold and silver trimmings and their designs made them look fancier and more majestic. He felt a tingle in his fingers as he ran his hand over one in particular, he felt very connected to it. The moment he made contact with the smooth black and green wand, he felt complete. The wand shot out multiple different colored sparks at once before it glowed a bright green before returning to its natural color. Lily immediately clapped her hands and cheered, it was said that those who glow with their bonding of wands possessed very powerful magic, she would have to tell James, he would be so excited.
"That is quite impressive." Ollivander said carefully as he took particular notice of the bright glow.
"What's impressive?" Harry asked calmly, the connection with the wand was sending chills through him. But good ones.
"I'm sure you may not have heard me, but that wand had once belonged to someone very famous. The last Wizard King Azeroth." Ollivander said more to himself then to Harry. Lily gasped slightly and covered her mouth.
"Azeroth?" Harry said clueless, he wasn't that good in history and didn't tend to read that far back when he did.
"The Wizard King Azeroth was a Light wizard who fought hundreds of Dark Wizards and Witches on his own while defending the Wizard World. He was the last ruler of our world two thousand years ago. He had a total set of two wands. You are the first that has ever been capable with one of his wands since. This wand: 12 inches. Core: Heart of a phoenix. Wood: Mythical Shadow Wood." Ollivander said in an eerily serious voice.
Harry nodded in slight awe and Ollivander continued, "Mr. Potter, the Wizard King Azeroth did great things for Europe, I expect great things coming from you as well. Great things..."
Harry couldn't pry his eyes away from this wand; he could only imagine what it would feel like to hold both this and his other.
"Now since that is a special wand that by my father three-thousand years ago… I'll say…"
"Wait a minute… three thousand years ago? How old was your father? And how old are you?" Harry blurted out with a question.
He smiled and spoke quietly, "Mr. Potter, my age shall remain a secret." He gave a creepy grin that made Lily shiver. "For that special wand in your hand Mr. Potter, fifty galleons." Ollivander said calmly.
"Fifty galleons! I bought mine for only 7!" Lily exclaimed in shock at the price.
"I'll pay for it, besides it's an ancient wand so of course it would cost quite a bit more than a normal one." Harry smiled at her reassuringly.
"Harry, you don't even have that much." She tried to intervene.
"Yes, I do." Harry said pulling fifty galleons out of his pouch of money and ignored her protests, quickly paying the man before leaving the shop.
When they left, Ollivander continued to stare at their retreating backs with growing curiosity. Hmm. I should tell Albus about the Azeroth's wand… but… no… no, he just needs to know about Voldemort's twin brother wand that the Longbottom boy bought. After all that's all he ever wants to know about. While the old wand maker wasn't the most powerful or influential person in the Wizarding world, he knew a thing or two about the ones who were. And one thing was for sure. That Potter boy had quite the power in his hands, an Occulmencer and able to sense him when he entered the shop, and now the boy now carried one of the greatest wizard's wands in existence, by far stronger then the brother wand of the dark lords. Very interesting indeed.
When they finally got home with all of his school supplies, Lily finally had the courage to ask her son the questioned that had been bothering her all day. "Harry where did you have all that money to pay for your wand?" Lily asked.
"I just saved my money up; I knew I'd have to get school supplies someday. Plus we do after all get 20 galleons every month for allowance." Harry said calming her down. "I rarely get to go out, so what else can I spend it on?"
She frowned slightly as it was her job to pay for her children's supplies. But Harry had put his foot down and so she dragged him upstairs to sort out his new school stuff.
"Now, let's go find you a trunk." She said happily as she opened up her walk in closet.
"That's ok mum, I already have one." Harry said smiling.
"Oh good. Do you know how to shrink stuff? Never mind, you've probably figured it all out by now. You haven't been reading all my old basic spell books have you?" She asked slyly.
Harry nodded a bit embarrassed, "I got up to mid-2nd year material actually. I've learned some levitation charms and such. It's hard but I'm really working on it. I know I may look like dad, but I act so much like you or so dad told me."
After a few more minutes of organizing his books and supplies he finally mustered up the courage. "Mum…what was I like when I was a baby?" Harry asked hopefully. He had always wanted to know and couldn't have asked Remus or Sirius, because both were dead in his old dimension. And asking Aunt Petunia when he was younger would have earned him a slap and no meals for a week.
She giggled at the memories, "You were such a cheerful baby, absolutely adorable. And you were mummies little boy." She laughed, running her hands through his messy black hair making Harry roll his eyes.
"Come on mum, more info!" Harry demanded while sitting next to her.
Lily thought about it more and smiled wider, "Well like I said, you were a cheerful baby as well as smart. I could never hide any toys from you; you'd just summon them back every time. Whenever you were hungry you rubbed your belly and smack your lips. You didn't cry much either actually, you were a silent baby, unlike your brothers and sisters." Lily said while slightly lost in memories.
"Me? Silent?" Harry joked and leaned back onto the bed.
"Sure make a liar out of me now why don't you." She laughed with him.
"Well I do think you're lying about how eating vegetables make you fly faster on a broom!" Harry said remembering a few days ago when he heard his mum telling Sylvia that to get her to eat her beans.
She whipped her head back laughing, "Well sweetie, how else am I'm supposed to get your little sister to eat? She isn't an endless pit like you were at that age." She said poking him on the stomach making him laugh.
"Hey!
The next morning the Potter's had a picnic and the children went swimming in the lake behind their mansion. They all ate their sandwiches before heading to the water to start a game of Quidditch. Harry was playing a bit with Little Lily before he would join the game later. He couldn't help but love her to death. She rarely cried and had everyone wrapped around her finger, especially her eldest brother.
Harry was lying on his stomach while she hopped on his back playfully, clapping her hands together and yelling for him to giddy up before he grabbed and started tickling her. Lilly giggled as Harry took off his sunglasses to place them on her face and she said with a squeal, "Petty!"
She started twirling to the music coming from the radio, making herself dizzy with the motions before landing on the soft ground. Harry saw some flowers surrounding her and plucked a few from the ground, he remembered when he was young sometimes he would use the flowers in Dursleys back yard to make crowns and wrist bands when he was not allowed to be in the house. So he delicately tied the ends together and made her a wrist band before putting her tiny hand into it. Her smile was enormous and the piece was made out of small but not yet blooming roses. They both then started to make an entire ensemble for her with a necklace and even a crown.
As he placed the crown on her head she asked, "What about mummy?"
Harry smiled, "How could I forget about mummy?" He said as if it were a big deal.
She giggled and tried to copy Harry in making the jewelry before finally giving up to instead go find all the flowers needed for them. When they were done, Harry had made a beautiful flower crown that was made out of white, red, and blue roses. They began to race towards their parents to give it to them and Lily fell behind so Harry stopped mid-way and grabbed her to put her on his back, her little arms holding onto him tightly as he ran down the hill with her laughing all the way.
When they got both got back to their parents, everyone else was back from swimming and eating again. He could swear the Potter's ate more than the Weasley's, which he never thought was possible. Lily smiled with pride as her son and daughter presented her with a beautiful crown and Harry laughed; "Now you're the queen of flowers."
Soon enough his sisters were all asking how to make the bracelets and crowns as well and the games were soon forgotten. The day was passing by so quickly, before they knew it the sun was about to set. Harry sat back for a moment as his family made their way up to the house. This is how life should be; this is how every family should be. He would make sure it would stay that way.
That last week at the Potter House was passing by fast and before he knew it the day to go to Hogwarts had arrived. The entire family as well as the Blacks gathered at Platform Nine and Three Quarters and his sisters began to cry when the trains whistle sounded for the students to begin boarding. Lily hugged him tightly to her chest, tears beginning to leak out even though she fought them. It seemed like for the first time in years, she had finally connected with her son again. She wouldn't change a thing about the entire summer and desperately hoped the separation would not change his new attitude. One by one Harry said goodbye to his siblings, rubbing Little Lily's back as she started to cry which was very much out of character for her.
She clutched one of two flowers to her chest when she was handed back to her mother, then she jutted her chubby little hand out to give one to Harry.
"Thanks baby girl."
Harry continued to say goodbye, giving his brother a hug and chuckled when Leon asked hopefully and whispered, "Say you don't mind if I go in your room sometimes do you?"
"Sorry little man, I put a locking charm on it, you should ask mum or dad to open it for you." Harry ruffled his hair and Leon smiled at the character change of his older brother. A couple months ago if he so much as peaked into Harry's room without asking he would be pranked for a solid week as punishment.
It was James turn to say goodbye and he smirked as an idea popped up into his head. With one giant swoop he picked his son up with his large arms and let out a fake cry of despair. The family laughed as Harry struggled to get out of his dads hold, drawing the attention of other students getting on the train and earning laughs from them as well.
James set him down before he took a step back for a moment and looked his son directly in the eye and declared, "Well I've decided. You're not going." Harry's eyes widened in alarm slightly before Lily reached up to smack her husband's arm roughly.
"Don't be mean." She chided.
After Sirius and his family said their goodbyes Yuna walked up last and quickly gave Harry a small kiss before he could react, leaving both families gaping at her sudden burst of courage. When she let go, she was blushing furious, and ran off to hide behind her mother.
Harry was just dumbfounded; he did not expect his first kiss in this universe to be like that. His thoughts were broken by poor Little Lily who was now crying hysterically.
He walked up next to her, "Don't worry. I'll be back before you know it for Christmas. But you'll be a good girl right Lily?" Harry asked. She cried harder and merely nodded her head before burying it into her mother's shoulder.
His mother immediately tried to stop her daughter from crying but she found it difficult as well since she was also tearing up again.
"Merlin's beard where did the time go? My baby boy's all grown up and heading to Hogwarts. Feels like it was just yesterday I was changing your diapers."
Harry blushed slightly before responding, "Well thanks I guess." His father rolled his eyes and pulled both his daughter and wife to wrap his arm around them in a comforting way.
"Take care son, and make sure you work extra hard in class." His father said. Even though when Harry walked close enough for him to whisper, 'Don't forget to play pranks on your teachers and especially in class!' Harry winked at his dad and his dad's smile got even wider.
"Bye Everyone! See you at Christmas!" Harry said turning to get on the train.
They all began to wave goodbye when something caught Harry's eye not too far down from them on the platform and his heart nearly stopped. It was the Weasleys. He could see Molly trying to control Fred and George long enough to give them a stern talk about being on their best behavior before they left. He saw Ron looking around nervously at the train, probably terrified at yet another place where he would be compared to his brothers. Then he saw Ginny. And time seemed to stop for him at that moment.
She was standing by her mother looking very sad and started crying slightly at seeing her brother's begin to leave. Harry smiled at the memory of her chasing after the train his first year. He had to stop himself from making his way towards her when he heard her sweet voice. Except that was no problem for him when he heard Ginny asking Molly about Neville Longbottom, hearing that the Boy Who Lived was going to Hogwarts. Harry had to remind himself that he wasn't the Wizard World's savior anymore and he was somewhat saddened at her interest in the other boy. But Harry would wait for her, after all she would get older and grow out of her fascination for the Boy Who Lived like she had for him in his old world, see who he really was and fall for him then. Right?
Ginny Weasley was crying and laughing her goodbyes to her brothers as they left on the train for Hogwarts. She felt as if someone was watching her and when she turned around, she saw a very handsome young boy around Ron's age with messy black hair and bright piercing green eyes. Their gazes connected and for some reason, she had feeling she knew him from somewhere and from his reaction he felt the same. Slowly she paid her attention back to her brothers but had almost a hunch that she was going to meet him again one day.
