Back by popular demand. I know I said this was a one-shot, but to heack with it. I like this one. Don't count on me updating this as often as If Jake Had a Twin and others, but it will be often enough.

Cassie screamed. But David was still unsure of his morph. And, after all, he had said it himself- he wouldn't kill a human.

Unless, of course, Cassie began to morph.

Which she did.

As Cassie quickly turned into an osprey, David lunged. Cassie, however, had picked up some nice little tricks from Rachel's gymnastics, and simultaneously dodged with a perfectly executed back-handspring, but continued morphing at the same time.

As she lifted off, she swore to herself one thing-

I'll do this. I will do this.

Another exhausted night in a nice tree. This one was a nice oak, with a rather nice tree-house that had been abandoned by it's current owners, who, judging by the shadows in the windows, spent a great time either fighting or making out.

Cassie's heart lurched every time she saw the two shadow's come near each other. It reminded her of Jake. What she and Jake could have had. WOULD have had. If only David… if only David hadn't become an Animorph. If only they had moved faster. Put a more secure system on the barn.

If only.

If only David hadn't told the Visser who the last remaining Animorph was. Because now she couldn't go ANYWHERE without worrying. Not even another continent, because the Yeerks were here.

Bitter tears slid down her cheeks. If only, if only, if only. She missed her warm bed that had actual covers. She missed a real life.

David, she thought, will pay.

But how? No one know's... REVIEW!
