I bet a great many of you weren't expecting me to update this one, were you? Well, take a look and read ahead. Thanks again for your time and support of this story. I really appreciate it.
Deeper Feelings
It had taken so very long, but the tide was finally turning. The rebellion had survived, and with it, Corrin and Elise fled to Hoshido with their small band of soldiers. Time passed, and the two grew ever closer as the weeks went by.
Corrin busied himself day in, day out, with the running of the armies. Most of his evenings were spent in the company of Elise, alongside his long-lost siblings from Hoshido.
"A message for you, milord."
Now there was something Corrin hadn't been expecting, especially since he'd been so busy drilling the troops in preperation for the next battle.
"Who's it from, if you don't mind my asking? There's no name on the front.
The messanger brushed aside his cloak and bowed faithfully on hand and knee.
"Lady Elise. She was quite adamant that I give it to you today."
Elise? There was another unexpected surprise. Why did she send a little like this when she could simply talk to him?
Corrin broke the seal, unfolding the fine piece of parchment paper between his fingers.
Meet me in my room tonight, after dark. I'll be waiting for you Corrin. Come alone, 'kay?
A powerful thumping melody sounded within Corrin's chest at the letter's content. Tonight? Whatever Elise wanted... it must've been important.
But little did he know, it was only the beginning. The beginning of something that would bind he and Elise, in ways he couldn't begin to imagine.
Read Flames of Desire for the continuation
That's right, guys and girls. I've just launched a connecting oneshot to this story, something to round it off. Go read Lace and Longing for the true continuation/next turn in the story. Oh and, be sure you're ready. That story has stronger themes than this one.
As always, my thanks! Keep on supporting Fire Emblem!
