Hey again! Well, this would be the revamped Chapter Two, which I hope you all enjoy. I'm trying to rewrite more chapters here in the next few days, so try to be patient with me?
Harry POV
'Nekos tend to be solitary creatures, and most stay that way once they go off on their own until they are ready to start their own clan or join a clan in the case of mating. They are by no means a skittish creature, but young or new Nekos might behave skittishly, and this trait would be worse if they are without a clan. So, in most cases, they will replace the desire to be with a clan by staying close to friends or trusted adults until they find a mate or a clan. This does not mean that the Submissive is passive, as they can fight and behave aggressively if they choose to.'
Harry sat bored in the back of the car, waiting for his Uncle to stop in front of the train station so he could remove his trunks and head towards his platform. His Aunt and cousin had stayed behind since there was no need for them to come as they never say goodbye, or let alone really care that he leaves. His Uncle remained silent for most of the ride, so it was a blessing when Harry was able to leave the silence of the car and into the noisy station. After removing his belonging from the trunk of the car, his Uncle gave a grunt, and left without another word. Harry could of cared less that his Uncle drove off like that. There was no love really between them.
The King Cross station was no less busy, bustling with muggles and possible muggleborns alike. Harry felt a little suffocated with how many people were around him as he pushed his way through the crowd to reach the platform he needed. He managed to push through the growing crowd and slid through the barrier between the muggle world and the wizard world. The magical side of the station was just as busy, if not busier than the muggle side. Harry exhaled in a puff of air as he tried to continue his path through the crowd. He just wanted to find his friends and board the train. He really didn't want to have a repeat of second year and the flying car. Harry laughed to himself, caught up in the memories of the shenanigans he got into when his cart bumped harshly into another cart, jarring Harry out of his memories.
"Watch it, Potter." Harry groaned internally as he looked up from where his head was jerked downwards at the bump. That familiar voice that taunted him over the years. Harry looked up into the face that of Draco Malfoy, his childhood rival. Out of all of the people Harry had to run into, it had the be Malfoy of all people. Harry hadn't had problem with Draco for a while, which was strange in itself, but Harry had enough things to deal with. He didn't have the time to throw insults out right now.
"Sod off, Malfoy. I'm not in the mood. So, please, spare me the theatrics, as I'm leaving now. So, if you'll excuse me, Your Majesty." Harry spat with not much venom, as he steered his cart out of Draco's way and continued on his path. He didn't look back, as he didn't have a reason to, and so he missed the foreign look of hurt and confusion in Draco's grey eyes. Harry just kept moving on when he was suddenly gripped into a tight embrace by a person with very fluffy hair.
"Harry! There you are!" Hermione yelled, pulling her friend into a rib crushing hug. Harry gave a breathy laugh as Hermione squeezed his ribs. He looked over his friends' head to see Ron rolling his eyes at her antics and smiling at them.
"Hey, 'Mione. As much as I have missed you, could you release me so that I could breathe again?" Harry said breathlessly, and Hermione instantly released him as her face flushed red.
"Sorry, Harry. I'm just happy to see you." Hermione smiled brightly, and Harry couldn't help but smile back at his friend. Ron gave him a clap on the shoulder, which Harry returned. The duo helped Harry load his trunks onto the train as the went to hunt for a cart for the ride back to Hogwarts.
Draco's POV
'As in most creature genetics, Dominant Nekos have the urge to protect its mate, as well as its family. While a Submissive can defend itself since both Submissives and Dominants have claws, Submissives typically focus on protecting their young or sick within their clans while Dominants are more wired to protect their mates from anything deemed a threat to physical, as well as emotional, well-being of their mate. Dominant Nekos are not like Veela Dominants, where they will die if they are rejected, but both have similar nature of loving their mate with all their being. Nekos just have the choice of their mates while Veelas have the predestined mates. Dominant Nekos will have the urge to protect still while the Submissive is hidden since it is usually an extreme situation that forces the Submissive out of hiding.'
Draco was wandering all over King Cross station, letting himself feel the pull that was within his chest. He didn't know where it was coming from, but he did have the feeling that it was coming from a Submissive Neko somewhere on the platform. 'At least I'm not the only one at Hogwarts' Draco thought to himself when he felt his cart get bumped by another cart. The owner of the other cart was none other than Harry Potter. Draco felt a surge of something in his chest, but he pushed it down.
Harry looked as if he had shrunk over the summer, and that would be saying something as Potter was never the tallest to begin with. Draco couldn't compare since he did stand well over 6 ft. Harry's hair had grown, and it was longer than that of 4th year, but it wasn't as long as most females. Draco wondered when Harry began to look so….girly was the word Draco used. The boy didn't notice yet that he had run into Draco.
"Watch it, Potter." He sneered doing what he did best to gain a rise out of the smaller boy. Harry looked up at him and Draco could have drowned in those emerald eyes if it wasn't for the scowl that appeared on his face. It was no secret that Draco and Harry were rivals, and would go at it whenever they could. Draco might still be bitter about the whole friend thing from 1st year, and so in one way or another, Draco tried to keep Harrys' attention. Though, lately, their usual petty spats had been absent from their days.
"Sod off, Malfoy. I'm not in the mood. So, please, spare me the theatrics, as I'm leaving now. So, if you'll excuse me, Your Majesty." Harry spat back at him, and maneuvered his cart away from Draco and towards the crowd. Draco stared after him as the sudden urge to comfort the other boy sprung up into his chest and caught Draco by surprise. He shook his head, and just shoved that feeling back down. He had a Submissive Neko he had to be on the lookout for. He couldn't be bothered by strange feelings brought on by Potter. Draco stalked off towards the Slytherin cart, hoping to find an empty space so he could brood in peace.
Neither boy would have noticed the two pair of eyes that had watched the exchange happen. Why would they when those who owned the eyes wished to be unseen. A pair of soft lilac eyes staring after them with sympathy and longing, and the glittering golden eyes that shone with hatred and contempt for the two boys.
So, I hope you all like the new version of this chapter. You hopefully can expect new redone chapters this week, but don't hold that to me as I do start classes again. There might be some changes with characters and how the story progresses, so you can expect that. Again, I hope you liked it, and I hope to see new reviews.
