A/N: It's insane that even after three years, I still have readers reviewing and PMing me about this story.(: Fortunately for anyone still interested in reading this, I've decided to write more of it, even though it was only ever meant to be a one-shot.(x Have I come up with a plot for this? No I have not! Lol! But, I've decided that messing around with this Modern AU a bit more is bound to be fun! So there won't be an overarching plot, just lots of shenanigans! After this chapter, you can look forward to eight more that I have planned out! (I haven't written them yet though, so you'll definitely have to wait for a bit!)

And thank you so much to my lovely reviewers of the past three years: bougainvillea blossom, desperate reader, seireidoragon, melode, EpikalStorms, Ennael, Snipperita, innocence-creator, DarkFoxLord, The Shuiro Amaya, RoseAngel16, que feo, Indigo-Jay, kickassdani, Sakura Hyuga, KillerAkuma, MnMsRoK, jy24, XxTealJadexX, Guest, Guest #2, Mine ShadowMaster, MesuNeko, and Yami Fumetsu! Certainly wouldn't be writing this if it weren't for all your kind words!^-^

With that said, enjoy!

Disclaimer: The three years in which I haven't worked on this has not changed a single thing! Unfortunately.): So yeah, nope, don't own anything. Just my sad, little plots.

Chapter 2

Noah Manor

—3rd Person POV—

Despite Allen's deepest and darkest desires, he in fact, did not kill Uncle Neah. He might've throttled him a bit, but stupid Tyki had felt obligated to intervene and drag him off soon after. The week had gone by unbearably slow, but even now, on a Saturday morning, his anger remained fully imprinted upon his expression any time Neah even thought to glance his way.

"Breakfast?" Uncle Neah offered uncertainly, placing a full plate before Allen.

One glance down and his stomach was growling in demand. Traitor, Allen thought spitefully, but grudgingly began to eat, much to his uncle's relief. He wouldn't look happy about it though! Allen maintained direct eye contact with his nervous uncle as he stabbed the food with his fork before roughly shoving it into his mouth.

"Honestly, Allen—"

"Don't," Allen cut him off, eyes narrowed. "Unless…?"

Neah rubbed at his face exhaustedly. "No, Allen, I am not removing you from the academy. Really, it's not so bad. And frankly, you need it. You've barely interacted with anyone other than me in the past three years!"

"And the problem with that…?" Before Uncle Neah could go into lecture mode, the doorbell chimed, ringing loud and clear throughout the manor. And though Allen wouldn't have thought much about it otherwise, Neah's sudden nervous smile rang warning bells. Glaring accusingly, Allen demanded, "Is there something else you'd like to let me know, Uncle?"

"Well…" Neah chuckled sheepishly. "Why don't you go out and greet the guests, Allen?"

When Neah didn't elaborate any further, he allowed his fork to clatter back onto the plate. "Why do I have a feeling I'm going to regret this?" Allen grumbled, reluctantly getting to his feet and trudging towards the main hall. As soon as he'd entered, he came to an abrupt halt, gaping at the sight of the trio being lead in by the maid. "What on earth are you doing here?"

"Allen!" Lenalee beamed, Lavi and Daisya standing on either side of her, gawking at their surroundings.

Daisya whistled. "Man, you're loaded!"

"As much as I appreciate the commentary," Allen deadpanned, stepping forward, "I'd rather know why you're all here in the first place."

"Your uncle called us up," Lavi chimed in with a grin. "He invited us over. Said you needed some cheering up!"

"He's so dead this time around," Allen hissed under his breath, before turning back to the trio. "Um, no offense or anything, but I'm fine really. You don't need to stick around. I'm sure you've all got better things to do…"

"Nope," Daisya denied with a wide grin, before exchanging a smirk with Lavi. "Isn't that right?"

"Too true, my good friend," Lavi nodded in agreement, grin just as wide. "And we couldn't possibly miss out on this opportunity to see what it's like for you outside of school."

"I'm sure your uncle meant well, Allen," Lenalee added, though her smile was much more sincere.

"And hey, even Yuu is here! Hi Yuu!" Lavi waved eagerly. Stunned, the rest turned towards a nearby hallway Lavi had indicated, where an equally stunned Kanda had paused at Lavi's shout, nearly choking on a mouthful of rice.

"The fuck?!" Kanda demanded with a scowl once he'd swallowed it down. Just as reluctant as Allen, he stepped into the main hall. "What the hell are you all doing here?!"

"I could ask you the same question?" Allen couldn't help but snort.

Unrepentant, Kanda simply shrugged. "Tiedoll adopted another stupid brat, Timothy or something, and he was throwing a fit this morning. If I'd stuck around any longer I'd have killed the little pipsqueak." With an expert flourish of his chopsticks, Kanda scooped up some more rice from his bowl.

Quirking an eyebrow, Allen asked, "How'd you even get in here?"

Nodding his head back, Kanda explained briefly, "Kitchen window was open."

"What? Is Kanda too good for the front door now?" Daisya smirked.

All too familiar with this routine, Lenalee was quick to intervene, "Kanda, isn't that a bit rude?"

Allen scoffed. "After what happened earlier this week at Cross and Nyne's wedding, I honestly doubt anyone around here will mind having him around." Now it was Kanda and Allen's turn to exchange a smirk.

"Ooh! Ooh! What happened?" Lavi demanded eagerly.

"Can't say," Allen and Kanda replied simultaneously, and Allen continued, "Cross would kill us otherwise, so we promised to keep our mouths shut. Hell! He nearly put a bullet through Kanda!"

Swallowing another mouthful of rice, Kanda remarked, "Worth it."

"Killjoy," Lavi grumbled.

"Ah, well if you really don't need us here, would you like us to go?" Lenalee suggested, seemingly amused with Kanda and Allen's interaction. Allen had been very irritable all week after Komui had nearly killed him, but he seemed to relax back into his regular self whenever Kanda was around.

"What? No grand tour?" Kanda muttered distracted, more focused on his bowl of rice. But the suggestion caused a gleam to sparkle in Allen's eyes.

"Bethannie!" Allen quickly flagged down a passing maid, and after a quick word with her, she scurried off. Turning back to the awaiting trio, he explained, "Kanda's right. Maybe a tour would be nice. But this place is pretty big, so we'll split up! Sound good?"

Bewildered, Lenalee, Lavi, and Daisya didn't have a chance to get a word in before Road and the twins were making their grand entrance. "Allen! You called?" Road grinned, skipping to his side and greedily latching onto his arm.

"Yes," Allen smiled, "You see, Kanda thought it was a good idea to give these three a tour. But the manor's so big and you guys know this place much better! So uh, why don't Devitto and Jasdero take Daisya, Road can take Lavi, and Kanda and I will take care of Lenalee? Sound good! Okay, let's get going!"

Lavi and Daisya exchanged a wary glance. This didn't sound like it would bode well for them.

Dungeons

"R-Road? Where are we?" Lavi squeaked, attempting to rub away the goose bumps on his arms caused by a sudden chill. The small girl had lead the redhead towards a barely discernible side-door that Lavi most likely wouldn't have noticed himself. After shutting the door, they'd been effectively trapped in the darkness, but Road had just giggled and skipped confidently down the descending stairs and Lavi had had no choice but to follow her.

Lavi was now regretting that decision. It felt like an eternity had passed, and still they kept going down. He was pretty sure they'd been at ground level to begin with, so why were they going so far down? Already the air was dank and musty, becoming frigid even though it was the middle of September.

"We're here now!" Road declared, and Lavi was forced to stumble to a stop, lest he crash into her. By now, his eyes had somewhat adjusted to the darkness and he could make out Road's dim outline, though not much more than that.

"Road? I can't see anything," Lavi pointed out, though he didn't expect for her to suddenly clap her hands. In reaction to the sharp sound, flames burst to life on the torches hanging along the walls. "Woah! How'd you do that?" he demanded, trying to blink away the sudden spots from his vision.

Road didn't bother explaining that the torches were electrically powered. Instead, she smirked wickedly. "Wouldn't you like to know, Bookman," Road giggled. "Now come along. The tour hasn't even started yet!"

"Um, right," Lavi muttered, hesitantly following after her. "Where did you say we were going?"

"I didn't!" Road tossed him a grin over her shoulder. "But if you don't follow, you'll never find out, Bookman~."

Lavi decided that curiosity would be the death of him as he trailed after her.

The Gardens

"This is lovely!" Lenalee beamed as she set her teacup down and gazed around the pristine gardens that surrounded them. Rather than give her a tour like they'd originally lead her to believe, Allen had offered breakfast instead. Too hungry to question why Lavi and Daisya hadn't been offered the same, Lenalee had agreed and to her pleasant surprise, they'd had an enjoyable meal outside in the gardens. A little longingly, she cast a lingering gaze towards the massive pool lying past the main garden.

Allen caught it and offered, "We could go for a swim if you'd like."

Her cheeks flushed slightly, realizing she'd been caught. "Oh no, that's too much! And I didn't even bring anything like a bathing suit and such…"

Allen waved it off. "It's no trouble, I'm sure Lulubell wouldn't mind lending you one! What do you say? And Kanda's up for it too, right dumbass?"

"Fuck you," Kanda flipped him off, but stood up along with him before walking off. "I'll get some trunks from Tyki, because God knows I won't fit into anything that belongs to your scrawny ass."

"Asshole," Allen grumbled, before offering a hand to Lenalee as she stood.

Grinning, she remarked, "You know, anyone normal might think you two absolutely loathe each other, but you guys have an odd way of showing affection."

Allen's expression turned bewildered. "Um, no offense Lenalee, but are you on something? Because that is certainly not affection," he pointed out with a grimace. "Honestly, have you met the guy? There's not one affectionate bone in his body!"

"Say what you want," Lenalee shook her head, failing to smother her laughter as she followed after him, back into the manor.

"I'm not going to win this, am I?" Allen grumbled, albeit good-naturedly.

"Not likely," Lenalee grinned, bumping shoulders with him. "Now, where is that bathing suit you promised me?"

Torture Chambers

"What the hell? This is such a lame ass tour!" Daisya complained, glaring pointedly at the twins conversing in hushed whispers ahead of him. Unlike his past complaints, which they had easily ignored, the twins came to an abrupt halt and turned to him, grins wicked.

"Hear that, Jasdero?" Devitto chuckled. "The little Turk doesn't think we're good tour guides!"

"Let's teach him a lesson! Hihihihih~!" Jasdero erupted into wild giggles.

"Teach him a lesson, you say?" Devitto mused, eyes narrowing in thought. "You're absolutely right, Jasdero! We need to show him that he shouldn't be so rude to his hosts!"

Eyes flashing angrily, Daisya didn't even bother to wait for the twins to latch onto his arms like the duo had planned. With a livid shout, Daisya tackled both of them down to the ground, and the three began to tussle viciously, punching, kicking, and ramming each other down. If the twins hadn't been taken by surprised, they might've easily tag teamed Daisya, but at this point, they were just striking anything without so much as looking and hurting each other in the process.

Taking advantage of this fact, Daisya waited for the opportune moment where Devitto and Jasdero were just hitting anything, their eyes clenched shut, and seizing them by their hair, bashed their heads together. Instantly, the twins fell limp.

Jumping to his feet, Daisya backed up and then smirked. "And that's how it's done!" He then gazed around, brow furrowing as he scratched the back of his head. "Now, where the hell am I?" The hallway he stood in was deserted, barring the single door towards the end, and he certainly didn't recall which halls they'd taken to get here. He then wondered if the idiotic duo had brought him here on purpose, or if they'd just been messing around.

Eyes latching onto the single door at the end of the hall, Daisya muttered, "Well, there's only one way to find out."

Dungeons

"This is seriously disturbing," Lavi muttered under his breath, eyeing the cold, damps cells they passed by.

"And do you know what the best part is?" Road suddenly exclaimed, whirling around to face him, grin stretched wide.

"What?" Lavi asked dubiously.

For a moment, Road observed the cells surrounding them, before skipping down a few cells and peeking in. She quickly gestured for Lavi to join her, and he did so, albeit reluctantly. Pointing a finger through the bars, she remarked in a hushed whisper, "Sometimes, there are still remains!"

Lavi's single eyes widened comically, eyeing the full skeleton that lay crumpled in one corner of the cell, face paling to stark white. "T-that's sick…" he mumbled.

The silence was heavy around them, until Road broke it with her heavy laughter. Lavi could only observe her, both fascinated and horrified (but mostly horrified) as she leaned down, hands bracing against her knees. "I-it's not real," she gasped through her giggles, "But the look on your face! Hah!"

Lavi nearly face-faulted. Though that didn't keep him from feeling utterly relieved. He had honestly begun to believe that Road was demented in the head. (Still did, in fact. That was a sick, sick joke.)

"You're awful," Lavi grumbled, though it was growing more difficult to keep his lips from twitching upwards.

Road shrugged, before she continued to skip down the dungeons. "I actually lied! That's not the best part! Come along, Bookman!"

Torture Chamber

"Wicked!" Daisy gushed, eyes jumping from contraption to contraption. Torture devices of all types littered the expansive room, and though he couldn't identify a majority of them, Daisya still thought it was all pretty insane!

Too curious for his own good, Daisya leaped about the room, brave enough to mess with some of the devices. Though he eventually quit doing that at one point, when he almost got his hand chopped off by a blade that had popped out of practically nowhere!

"Isn't it fucking awesome?"

Daisya froze, warily turning back and eyeing the twins. They stood, fully awake, at the doorway, appearing more disheveled than was their norm. Surprisingly, they didn't appear to be too miffed with him. For now.

"Yeah, it is," Daisya muttered, loud enough for them to hear him.

"Say, would you like to test some of these out?" Devitto smirked, stepping into the room. Jasdero burst into demented giggled beside him, and with a thunderous slam, shut the door behind them.

Swimming Pool

"The water is so nice!" Lenalee gushed, ducking down once more beneath the surface and then bursting out with a grin.

"Yeah—" Whatever Allen had been about say was cut short by Kanda purposely jumping in near him and causing a wave of water to crash over him. Spluttering, Allen broke the surface, eyes narrowing dangerously. "Oh? So that's how you're going to play it?!"

With a laugh, Lenalee rapidly backed away, watching amusedly as Allen and Kanda got into a fist fight underwater. It was quite ludicrous watching them jump back up for air, only to be dragged down by the other. Fortunately for Lenalee's sanity, they didn't hurt each other too badly, the worst being a bruise on Allen's cheek that would probably fade away in a day or two.

It was once the two had calmed down and they were relaxing around the pool, that the peace was abruptly shattered.

"NOOOO!"

Though faint, it was quite impressive that the shout managed to reach them at all.

Exchanging shocked glances, the trio quickly reacted and jumped out of the pool. Lenalee was quick to throw on the t-shirt and pair of shorts that Lulubell had given her as well over her bathing suit, before swiftly catching up with them. Once they'd entered the manor, Allen cursed under his breath, before turning to them, "Kanda, go to the dungeons! I'm betting that's where Road took Lavi, and though I doubt that's where the scream came from, better safe than sorry. I'll go check on Daisya and the twins. Lenalee, you're with me!"

"Wait! You have dungeons?!" Lenalee demanded as she chased him up the main stairway.

"Now's not the time, Lenalee!" Allen called back. So she followed after him through the maze of hallways and stairs. She was tempted to ask him where they were headed, but by the time she thought to, they were already skidding down a hall to the single doorway.

Wrenching it open, they stumbled in.

But it was not disaster that awaited them.

Rather, the first thing they were faced with was Daisya, Devitto, and Jasdero standing around awkwardly, even appearing a bit guilty. Belatedly, Lenalee took note of the medieval contraptions piled around the room. And it was after a small, awkward moment, that the cry they'd heard earlier made itself known once more.

"H-how could you?!" the voice wailed.

The guilty trio winced, and giving the room another once-over, Allen and Lenalee finally spotted Neah kneeling on the floor appearing absolutely heartbroken.

In turn, Neah noticed Allen and quickly stumbled back onto his feet.

"A-Allen!" the older man stammered with a cry. "L-look what they did to my beautiful Timcanpy!"

Neah burst into tears once more, and held his hands out to display the shards of gold.

Lenalee and Allen exchanged a strange glance.

"What's a Timcanpy?" Lenalee mouthed, not wanting to further upset Allen's uncle.

"A golem," he mouthed back, though that only left her more perplexed. Turning back to his uncle, Allen asked, "Um, isn't Timcanpy supposed to be indestructible?"

"Not at the moment!" Neah exclaimed. "I was reconstructing and updating his operating system so they caught him unawares! Now I'm going to have to remake him! It's going to take me months, Allen! Months!"

Allen heaved a sigh, but any reassuring words would not be heard as Neah fell to his knees once more.

"Alright, nothing to see here!" Allen rapidly ushered them all out and left his uncle to his mutterings.

Once everyone met back in the main hall, Lavi complained, "What the heck is going on guys?! Road was showing me some cool secret passageways and Yuu swooped in like a madman demanding to know what was going on—ow!"

"Don't call me that!" Kanda snarled, fist ready to strike the redhead once more.

"It's fine guys, turns out it was just my idiotic uncle," Allen sighed, before pointedly glaring at the twins. "And if I were you, I'd watch out! Neah's going to kill you!"

But the twins just giggled before scurrying off.

"Wait! Were you guys at the pool this whole time?! What the hell? Let's go!"

A/N: So I know this is short, and probably something you weren't expecting, but I'm barely getting pumped for this fic, so I had to start somewhere, right?(: Hopefully the chapters will get longer as I go along, and I wouldn't mind any ideas you guys can throw at me. Review and let me know how you liked it and if you'd like to read more!(:

Also, would you guys terribly mind if I changed the title and summary of this fic?
