Chapter 2
"I still can't believe your brother said that we were practically dramatic," Frankie complained.
"That's a dude for ya, always think what he says on his mind, thinking he's only being honest with us when actually he's just being a duchebag," Clawdeen said while they were walking to their first class of the day, which was History class.
"I know I know, and I should just leave it alone, besides you're the one that has to deal with them all the time, how do you put up with that every single day at home?" Frankie asked.
"By shutting my door and blocking them. And doing what I do best, cater to myself," Clawdeen answered with a flip of her mane, making Frankie and herself laugh all the way to class.
In Hist. of the undead (History Class), Holt was busy coming up with new beats for his party in two weeks, before class started. But on the other side of his mind, he was thinking how he was gonna ask Frankie to be his date to the shindig. 'I don't want to come on too hard to her, just asking a simple question of whether or not she'll come to my party and have a good time, hopefully with me!' Holt said to himself, with hope in his eyes. Suddenly he saw the goul of his dreams and her best friend Clawdeen walk into class.
'And there she is, looking as electricfying hot as ever,' his thoughts was going haywire. Seeing Frankie constantly does that to him. 'This goul does not know what she does to me; I can barely contain myself around her!' He said again quietly to himself.
"Frankie, don't look now but there's Holt and he's looking right at you," Clawdeen whispered to Frankie. "You have that boy smitten all over you."
"He is not smitten over me," Frankie said blushing.
"Frankie the boy has it bad for you."
"Holt can have any goul in this school, if he wanted one."
"Yeah and he wants you, no lie there," Clawdeen smirked.
"Oh Deen!" Frankie sighed as they sat at their desks, which was right beside each other and Frankie's right in front of Holt's!
"Hey Frankie," Holt greeted smoothly.
Frankie turned in her seat to respond back without looking swoon over the boy or his smooth voice, "Hi Holt," she waved and then turned back around as the class was about to start.
During class the whole time Frankie got the feeling that someone was staring at her, so she turned around to found out who the culprit was and to her blushing surprise it turned out to be Holt! He smiled and winked at her, it made her turn back in her chair. 'Oh my goul I cannot take him smiling at me that way, he looks so dashing with that smile on his face,' she said to herself.
"Frankie! Are you okay?" Lagoona asked in whisper, sitting at the desk to her left.
"Yeah I'm fine, why do you ask?"
"It's just that you look a little queasy in the face, do you need to go see the nurse?"
"No no no, I promise I'm fine," Frankie assured her friend.
"Okay if you say so," Lagoona went back to paying attention to what the teacher said.
'Why is it so hard for me to just be normal around him, it's not like we aren't friends, we're great friends. So why am I being such a bubblehead when I'm around him, I can be myself, I'm Frankie Stein, I'm never afraid to show people who I am, so why act all awkward around some guy who I secretly have a crush on, even though not so secretly since it seems like Clawdeen is on to me.'
Frankie knew she was supposed to be listening to what the teacher was saying but that was not happening. She couldn't wait for class to be dismiss just so she can actually breathe.
Five minutes before class was over Holt got up the courage to finally ask Frankie to be his date to his party. Being in class all day near Frankie was driving him insane, if he didn't do something about it, he was gonna go berserk.
'Alright Holt its time to ask Frankie Fine the question, and hopefully we won't get regeted big boy,' Holt said to himself.
As he was about to get up and go to Frankie's desk he saw Andy coming up to Frankie's desk, he must have siad something fuuny cause his goul started laughing. Oh the way he loved her laugh, it was like music to his ears even though he wish he was the one that was making her laugh and not pretty boy Andy. By the time they were through with their coversation it was time to go, leaving Holt no time to ask Frankie the question.
"It's only early in the day, I'll get another chance," he told himsefl quietly with hope in his voice.
"Well it sure did look like Andy couldn't wait to speake to you before this class ended," Clawdeen said with a wink at her friend.
"It's not like that Deen, so don't be getting any ideals," Frankie said giving her a side way glance as they were walking out of their class.
"Alright, but it doesn't look that way to him or Holt," Clawdeen ended with a smirked.
"What do you mean?" Frankie said looking worried, "I hope Holt didn't think that me and Andy have something going on 'cause we don't!"
"Frankie calm down it's fine, he just seem a little upset, I think he was about to ask you something but then he saw Andy coming to you so he did nothing," Deen said reassuring Frankie when they reached their lockers.
"He wanted to ask me something? He probably was gonna invite me to his party and now I don't know if he'll ask me again, dammit!" Frankie said trying to open her locker but just ended up being frustrated by the information she just heard and electricfying the whole row of lockers.
"Whoa! Thank Goul I didn't touch my locker yet or this mane of mine would have been out order," Clawdeen chuckled "Look Frankie, it's the beginning of the day and we still have six more classes for the rest of day. I'm sure he'll get the chance to ask you in between those times or probably after school, and plus you were already invited, he invited the whole school." Clawdeen said opening her locker.
"Oh yeah that's right!" Frankie felt relieved.
"It was probably something else he wanted to ask you, so don't give up hope just yet," she said rubbing Frankie's back to keep her friend calm.
"Hey Clawdeen," Romulus said coming up from behind her.
She was so surprised that she jumped a little before turning around to acknowledge him, "Oh hey Romulus, what's up?" she said nervously.
"I'm doin good, sorry if I startled you," he said with a small smile. It was a cute smile.
"You're good, so what's going on Rom?" Clawdeen ask running her right hand through her mane.
"I was wondering if I could talk to you about something after school today?" he asked with his hands in his pockets.
"Sure that's fine," she said with a quizzical brow.
A smirk appeared on Romulus face 'well that wasn't so hard' "Cool, so I'll see you after school?" he asked while walking backwards to his next class.
"Okay, see you later," then Clawdeen turned around got out her books for her next class.
Romulus took one last look at her before he turned the corner, "Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to say to her," he sighed.
"hmmm, it's seems I'm not the only one who has a question waiting for to be asked today, isn't that Clawdeen?" Frankie said bumping her elbow to Clawdeen.
"Oh shut up Frankie," she said pushing her friend playfully.
"Hey, you were teasing me earlier about Holt, I was just being a friend and paying the favor back," she said looking innocent.
Clawdeen rolled her eyes then her face turned curious, "I wonder he wanted to ask me?"
"I guess wait until after school," Frankie smirked.
"Come on let's go," Clawdeen said rolling her eyes and dragging a giggling Frankie along.
