Ch2:Who Makes the Rules?

Leah tried to open the door that Bree pushed her into but it was locked so she had no choice but to walk up the narrow staircase, touching the wall so that she wouldn't fall, all the way up to the closed door that she had to push to open. Only half the room was lit with built in circular bulbs that were on the ceiling. There was a pole on her side of the room and a couch against the wall. The dark blue walls had three white stripes going across the top of the wall it looked like it went all around the room. Leah couldn't really tell when the other side of the room was dark, like super pitch black dark. Okay, so this guy was weirder than James was. It figured!

Leah wished she could leave. She was still pissed that her money got taken away before she could count it. She had to pay her tuition by tomorrow and Bree wasn't her friend, for all Leah knew she could take some off top and Leah would never know.

The guy still hadn't answered her question. How did he know her name? She could play it off as if she were gasping at him for saying the wrong name but he seemed so sure. How could he know her? The odds of him knowing her at all in a big city as Seattle should have been miniscule. But here they were. Leah swore she had bad luck just following her around at her heels laughing at her.

"Well this is going to be interesting…" the guy spoke gruffly after a few moments of silence. If anything he did have a nice voice. Although Leah would never tell him that, he was a stranger after all. A stranger that gave Leah her paychecks every month but a stranger none the less.

She could only see part of his face. He was all the way by the pitch dark side of the room, as she was showcased for him to see. She wasn't a piece of meat she just wanted to get this over with.

"Why the hell am I here?" Leah asked. "And who are you?" Leah squinted so she could see a bit better.

He seemed to have gotten up because she could no longer see him at all now as music began to softly play in the background, "Come here and see for yourself."

"No." Leah said defiantly. No man was telling her what to do no matter if he was the boss or not. She would take being fired before going over there. If only she could freaking move. Stupid legs. Stupid brain. Work. Work. Work. Move do something!

The lights on her side of the room went off, Leah absolutely panicked. She turned around but the room was completely dark now. And it wasn't like she was going to blindly run down those deathly narrow stairs to a locked door. What would happen if she screamed? Would anyone be able to hear her? Would anyone come to save her? Would she be hurt? Would anyone even care? Her mind went on an overload of questions that she really couldn't figure out the answer to. The one thing she did know was unless he let her out she was locked in this room along with him until he chose to let her go.

She felt him as he came up behind her. The warmth of his body came off in waves. His cologne or was it his natural scent, whatever it was took over her senses. He smelled like a man should: clean, fresh with a hint of something she couldn't put her finger on. He definitely wasn't as skinny or lanky as she thought he was when he was far away; in fact he seemed large and built. This man's body felt like it was consuming her. Leah's body shook in fear, excitement and anger but she didn't dare move. Not with all the adrenaline rushing through her veins. She wondered how he knew exactly where she was, she couldn't see anything at all. But it seemed like he knew exactly where she was. He was way too close.

"You don't want to find out who I am?" his breath fanned against her ear, she could smell the spearmint with an underlying hint of beer on his breath.

She couldn't find it in her to move away as his hands moved her hair from the back of her neck to the left side of her shoulder. Why was she letting him touch her? He wasn't any different than the men downstairs. And she never let them physically touch her. She would come to them on her own terms and give them the half ass dance get her money and leave but their hands had to stay on their sides or she was able to leave with the cash regardless if they got what they paid for or not.

"No. Seriously all I want to do is find out how the fuck you know my name and go home." Leah gritted her teeth. She was surprised she could still speak as his hands brushed down her arms. It was hair rising and spine chilling when he grabbed her wrist into his hands before intertwining their fingers.

"Remember the coves near First Beach?" he asked moving there linked hands over her breasts as he swayed behind her. Her nipples strained against her stupid lingerie. What the hell was wrong with her? Her body was responding in ways it never had before it terrified the hell out of Leah.

Leah was trying to recall, but it must have been a memory that was buried deep down and locked away in a safe because she had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. She wished she could see his face. Leah was a face type person. She had a trouble with remembering names but when she saw the face it always came back to her. Leah shook her head trying to get her brain to recollect the memories but her brain was fried. Completely gone, especially when he was touching her like that.

The only other guy to have ever been this close was Embry and even then Leah would never let things go too far. She loved Embry she really did but she wasn't all too sure about surrendering herself to him in that way, not with them both going in completely different directions in their life.

"Think about it Clearwater the name of the club has my name in it." he sounded as if he were getting angry as he let her hands go. They fell limply at her side but he still hadn't stepped away yet.

The Hot Black Spot. His last name wasn't Spot and she never met a human with Spot as a first name, so that couldn't have been it.

Hot wasn't it either. Black had to be his last name but where did she know that last name from?

He was getting impatient as Leah was taking way too long to remember who the hell this guy was.

"Just tell me why I'm up here so I can leave." Leah stepped away from him while she still had the chance. Even though it was dark any direction away from the heat he was sending off was better than just standing there.

"Dance for me." He demanded. It definitely didn't sound like a question.

"That wasn't a part of the job description I signed up for." Leah was glaring off into the darkness. She had a powerful glare but not if he couldn't even see it. "Show me who you are."

He clapped twice and all the lights in the room came on. Finally! If that was all she had to do she would have started clapping like one of her family members had won an award as soon as he turned the lights off. Leah still wasn't free to leave the room yet but at least she could see again. Maybe she might finally figure out who the hell she was talking to.

Leah looked at him starting from the bottom, taking in his four thousand dollar shoes, his black slacks, to his dark royal blue shirt that was buttoned up until the top three. It had the initials J.B. on it. The man had a really nice, defined chest from what she could see. Leah hated to ogle but she couldn't help it. His whole outfit was more than her whole wardrobe at home.

Her eyes finally moved up to his strong jaw, his nips lips, perfect nose, to his dark brown eyes, his eyebrows were creased down. She still couldn't remember but she had to admit that he did look familiar now that she finally saw his face.

What was his name?

John? No…

Maybe Joseph? That didn't seem right either.

Definitely wasn't Jose.

"Don't tell me what is and isn't a part of the job description. I make the rules Leah. It's my club. And I. Want. You." He articulated each and every word clearly as he said the last sentence.

Leah shivered but kept her face in a mask of cool, calm and collected. "Well get in line." She sneered at him.

What was with him? Leah shook her head. She really just wanted to leave and hopefully get the money she made tonight and never return again. No matter how good looking he was. Leah wanted to leave. Yup, it looked like she was going to have to quit. Well the money was nice while it lasted. Nine to five here I come…

"I can give you way more than any of those guys down there can. And I can do it ten times better." He spoke with an aura of confidence that Leah hadn't heard in a long time as he stalked towards her, standing right in front of her face. "Besides I don't think Harry would like that his daughter has resorted to stripping for money…" he smirked.

Leah's mind which was very cloudy up until that point cleared real quickly. The reservation Leah was from wasn't a big place, but the fact that he knew her father's name was scary. Which meant that she did know him but the only guy she knew with those initials couldn't be him, that guy had run away from the reservation and never returned. Rumors spread like wildfire of why he left town. But no one really knew the truth.

Jacob. Jacob fucking Black! Leah finally remembered.

"Are you blackmailing me Jacob Black?" she decided to say his full name to see how he would respond.

"Took you long enough…" His face remained unmoved.

"Whatever." Leah rolled her eyes looking anywhere but directly at him.

"All I'm saying is we can do this the easy way or the hard way." He moved his hand to her chin and cupped it before she could move away so she was forced to meet his eyes. "But you are mine." He growled lowly.

"You don't own me!" Leah slapped his hand away from her chin and stepped back away from him.

"From the top of the pretty head of yours, to the bottom of those sexy toes." He chuckled darkly looking over at his ringing phone on his desk, before returning his attention to her, "Actually Clearwater you might have wanted to take a closer at that contract you signed because frankly, I do."
