I am also working on the second chapter right now and plan to- you know what, I'm not giving myself a release time. I'm a hypocrite and a liar.

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto. I'm pretty sure we all know Naruto belongs to Kishimoto.

Warning: BoyxBoy (Obviously)

Chapter One: First Impressions

The campus was huge. How many building has he already toured around? Four? And the guide said there were more to see. By the end of the school year, Naruto will have leg muscles fit for thirty men. Seriously though, how do they expect him to travel to all of his classes in less than eight minutes when they all basically take place in different buildings across the campus? He feels like he is just mindlessly following the student tour guide, but as soon as she disappears, all his knowledge will disappear with her. Shit, maybe he should've paid closer attention to what she was saying and where they were. Hold on, where are they?

"And if we turn left over here, we'll get to the commons area. This is where lunch is purchased and for you" she looked down at the schedule in her hands. "Your free period is around noon until one. We have about an hour to eat between your classes and the times all just depend on the student's schedule and free periods. The commons is open all day for students, even after school, but the cafe and store is only open in the morning before school and from eleven to one." She kept going on, but Naruto tuned her out as soon as he heard cafe and store.

What the hell. They are only high school students. Why the hell do they have a cafe and store on their campus? This place seemed more like a college than a high school. His stomach began to growl. "Shoot I should have eaten breakfast." He whispered under his breath.

His tour guide must either have amazing hearing capabilities or psychic powers. "I think they are open now if you want to stop the tour for a bit and get some food." She suggested. He looks to her sheepishly and nodded yes. "Great, then I can show you how your student ID works." he began to walk off in some direction, most likely towards the commons area and this time, he paid attention as he followed.

The two of them sat down at one of the empty tables in the commons area. The room was pretty spacious. Tables to eat at spread across the large room with small couches and tables with classic board games printed on the tops were placed on the side walls. A few dozen students were in the area at that time. Despite Iruka's worries this morning, the two got to the campus twenty minutes before Naruto was supposed to meet the headmaster, which was already an hour before school started. Forty minutes have already past and he assumed that aside from the few buildings he had to visit, the tour was almost over.

He looked to the parfait placed in front of him and glanced at his tour guide. She was on her phone, happily texting away to whoever. Naruto shrugged, at least he didn't have to start up a conversation with anyone yet. The parfait looked surprisingly good for something made at a high school cafeteria. Well-it was made in a cafe but whatever, that just seems like a fancy name for cafeteria. The parfait had two layers of yogurt, separated by what looks to be some sort of fruit jam. On the top was a cluster of granola bits, sprinkled with almonds and a wad of crushed berries and chocolate.

Naruto unwrapped his spoon, mixing the components together and took his first bite. He marveled at the taste, eyes rolling up in pleasure. He could feel his mouth water for more as he swallowed the spoonful. Heavenly. Maybe this was the difference in calling it a cafe rather than a cafeteria? As he took his second bite, he noticed the girl had put her phone down on the table and was looking at him.

He wiped off his lips with the back of his forearm and awkwardly set the yogurt own on the table. Did he look weird while eating it? Maybe he got yogurt all over his mouth or something. "What?" he said with a bit of hesitance in his voice.

"Oh" the girl blushed a little when she realized she'd been caught staring. "I was just wondering why you are still wearing gloves inside when it's already warm in here." She said in a light manner, not seeing Naruto completely tense in his seat.

Naruto dropped his hands to his lap, fumbling with the edges of his glove and out of sight from the girl. He'd gotten so used to having them on that he had forgotten they were there "Well uh," he couldn't find the right words to say. "It's uh… I mean I'm not really comfortable with seeing my hands… and so" My God he sounded like an idiot. Not comfortable with seeing your hands? Who says that. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "They're really comfortable to… well except in like summer where they sweat because it's - I mean" he almost facepalmed. She did not need to know that. Why did he say that? This was basically the first time she and him even started a conversation, no, first time he's had a conversation with anyone in this school and he was already blowing it.

She had a disgusting look written on her face. "... I see." She said, not fully understanding his reasoning. He could hear a bit of judgement laced into her tone and clenched his fists, the leather fabric letting out a little cry. He was embarrassed. He grabbed the cover to his parfait and placed it back on the cup, taking the spoon out in the process.

"Maybe we can go and finish the tour off." He said, wincing at the bitter tone he let escape, but walked away towards the direction he was almost sure he came from.

Shuffling could be heard from behind him, mostly from the tour guide gathering her stuff. "Yes, we're almost done anyways. I'll speed this up a bit." She said with a little less enthusiasm than before and walked at a farther distance. He already felt as if he was being judged and the day hasn't even started yet.

"Thank you for showing me around." He said to her as they made it back to the main office.

"Yeah that's what my job is to do anyways." She said, going back to her desk. He felt a bit bad for her because she has to go to school early to tour others around even though she is only a student. "Anyways, I'm sure that if you have any questions on where to go, one of the other students will be willing to help you out." and there's where his pity for her ends. Love how she didn't even offer to help him in the future. He said one weird thing about himself and she completely closed herself off from him. Whatever, he couldn't even remember her name in the first place. Such nice people. Iruka-sensei what a liar.

"Naruto," her voice dragged him out of his thoughts, "don't forget your schedule." She pointed to the top of her desk at the piece of paper. He grabbed it quickly, not wanting her to see the gloves he wore again.

"Thanks." he said in a clipped tone. "See you around." He walked out of the office and looked down at the piece of paper. "Shit I don't know where I'm going."

"Is this even the right fucking building? Damn it I'm gonna be late!" He pulled out his phone, seeing there was only five minutes left until his class starts. "Shit shit shit." he mumbled, looking door to door and trying to recognize the numbers as he passed by for the fifth time. He notices one of the groups of kids looking at him as he basically paced around the building. He began to walk faster, not up for another confrontation. "I knew I should've stayed home. Why did I even come here?" He whispered to himself again, cursing Iruka for guilting him into doing this.

"Hey Blondie" The guy from the group called out to him from across the hall. Naruto stopped, heart almost stopping with him. Other students looked up at the loud voice, giving him annoyed looks for disturbing their morning. The other seemed unfazed. "Are you lost?" He asked, much quieter as they got closer. The other had strange triangular marks tattooed onto his cheek and an almost canine-like grin plastered on his face. Were those fangs?

At least he seemed nice. Naruto nodded and the other boy held his hand out. Seeing his questioning glance, he began to laugh at his confusion. "I need your class schedule to see where you need to go."

"Ah sorry." Naruto gave him the crumpled piece of paper in his hand. The other took it, squinting at the words on the page as if he were trying to decipher some sort of secret code.

"Aha!" he screamed, Naruto jumping at the loudness of his voice. He shifted uncomfortably as more people looked in their direction with a glare. "That's why you couldn't find it. We were standing right in front of the sign." The boy gave him back the paper and ruffled the back of his head sheepishly. "Sorry, haven't even spoken to each other yet and I'm already causing you trouble." The other started to walk towards the classroom, slightly pausing in his step, signaling Naruto to follow.

He walked beside the other. "I'm Kiba by the way. We all have that class next too. You looked so worried that you were going to be late, but you don't have to. This teacher is always late anyways." Kiba explained then paused. "Well I guess not. Never mind because every time I come late for this class, he always shows up on time. It's like he knows or something." His face animated his discomfort with that. Kiba was one of the most expressive people he has ever met.

"I do know Inuzuka." A white-haired man came up from behind them and gently smacked Kiba with the papers in his hand. Kiba jumped at the sudden contact and the group he was with laughed and rolled their eyes. "Hurry up and get to your seat before I mark you tardy" His voice was slightly muffled by a mask covering the bottom half of his face.

"Kakashi-Sensei no one else is even in the classroom yet!" Kiba whined, rambling on about mistreatment and abuse.

"I'll count down. One," His eyes bent into U-shapes as they closed, expressing his excitement for his student's misery. "Two" Kiba yelped, pushing past his group in order to sprint to his spot. The teacher began to clap. "Knew record. Everyone, get inside so we can start class." He said in a fake, cheery voice. The other students slugged into the class and into their seats.

Kakashi was about to enter the class when his gaze shifted towards Naruto. He opened one eye and examined the blonde-haired boy. "I've never seen you before. You're the new student, right?" Naruto shifted uncomfortably as the teacher's attention was directed towards him and nodded. "Go find any empty seat and I'll just mark it as your spot." he nodded again and fast walked into the classroom in order to avoid more conversations, finding an empty table, right besides where Kiba and one of his friends sat.

A couple of minutes into the class with the teacher explaining what they'll be focusing on that semester, a kid walked late inside of the classroom.

Kakashi looked up from the board and smiled, well who knows for sure, at the boy who walked in. "Ah Sasuke, nice of you to show up." Sasuke rolled his eyes and walked straight to where Naruto was sitting, not even glancing at the other. He threw his stuff right in front of Naruto and made his way to sit down when he realized another person was in his spot. Naruto could hear the annoyed sigh the other let out and found himself clenching his fists again to control his anger. Sasuke went around the table and sat at the seat by the other, pushing his stuff off of Naruto's workspace. Whispers were heard across the class, most probably about him and the jerk who just walked into the room.

"That was my spot by the way." Sasuke irritably whispered to the blonde as Kakashi continued his lesson. Naruto felt himself get angrier as the lesson continued, no longer even trying to pay attention to the teacher. Who did the prick think he was? Coming into the classroom late and throwing his crap in front of him. He probably came late trying to style that duck ass he has attached to the back of his head. How was he supposed to know he was sitting in his seat and why didn't anyone warn him? He slowly glanced towards Kiba who was looking at him with a guilty expression.

"Sorry I forgot Sasuke sat there." The triangle boy mouthed to him and Naruto just shrugged. It's not like it was Kiba's fault duck-boy got mad. Naruto shifted in his seat, accidentally grazing his leg against Sasuke's. Sasuke jerked away from the contact as if it burned and sent a glare towards his direction. Naruto slumped his head onto the desk. "When will this day end?" He whispered to himself.
