Here is the next chapter I hope you like it. Thank you to those who reviewed the last chapter. Before I continue I want to clear up a few things I am changing Sonny will still be from Wisconsin, but still have spent a lot of time in California. Also, this story is taking place about a month after her first show on So Random, so the show is not really all that popular yet. It also means that Sonny is not in the spotlight which is why no one really knows who she is.
The Unseen Truth
Chapter 2
Third Person
When Mark got the call from Connie is ex-wife about Mitchie wanting to come and stay with him he was shocked. Connie had told him how Mitchie finally got the chance to go to Camp Rock and now she was just leaving. Mark knew that she had to have a good reason for leaving. He was excited to see his daughter because he never really got to see her much since the divorce, and he knew that everyone else in the family was excited about seeing her.
"When does Mitchie get here?" his daughter asked him once again.
"I am leaving to pick her and her friend up in ten minutes." He reassured the excited girl.
"Can I come with please?" she asked jumping up and down. This might seem out of character for a normal 16 year old, but for his daughter it was a regular occurrence when Mitchie was involved. The two were separated when they were young, and even miles apart she knew when Mitchie needed her. Her gift of knowing when Mitchie needed her never failed her before and she knew that it wouldn't fail her now.
"Of course," Mark told his daughter. 'What have I gotten myself into?' He mentally asked himself.
Earlier that day at Camp Rock
Mitchie and Caitlyn stood in front of Connie with their bags waiting for the car that was going to take them to the airport. Connie had asked Mark if he could send a car because she wouldn't be able to make the hour drive to the airport to drop them off.
"You know you don't have to go," Connie stated trying to reassure her daughter that she didn't have to go. Mitchie has been wanting to come to this camp for years and now that she was finally able to go she was leaving in the middle of the summer.
"I have to mom," she reassured her worried mother. "Plus I won't be alone, I'll have Caitlyn, and you know how Sonny can be."
Connie laughed thinking about her youngest daughter. Sonny could be a little overexcited at times. If she thought that Mitchie was bad Sonny was worse, and the two of them together had everyone running in the opposite direction.
"If you're sure," Connie stated hugging her daughter as the girls ride finally arrived. "Thank you for everything Caitlyn," she said while hugging the young girl who had become one of her daughter's best friends.
"No problem Mrs. Torres." As the limo pulled up to the two girls, Caitlyn had to shoot Mitchie a look because she was in shock that they were being driven to the airport in a limo. "Is this our ride?" she questioned.
Mitchie just nodded before giving her mom another hug and grabbing her bags to put them in the trunk. Caitlyn quickly followed suit and the two girls were soon heading off to the airport looking back at the camp that was supposed to be the summer of their lives.
Off in the distance a curious Nate Gray was watching as the two girls got in the Limo to drive off. The scenario just seemed a little off to Nate which had him convinced that there was more to the story than they were hearing.
Back in California
Sonny and her father were currently waiting the airport lobby for Mitchie and her friend. Sonny was super excited to see her because she has been so busy with So Random that she didn't have a chance to visit over the summer holiday like she had planned. Sonny looked around to find that they were pretty much alone, no unwanted eyes anywhere despite the growing popularity of So Random the past month. She was glad that there were not many people around. She didn't want anyone to know her sister was in town yet, and she didn't need the first time within the past two years that she has seen Mitchie to be around cameras.
She continued to look around for any sign of life she noticed off in a distance a smaller figure running in their direction. She looked on trying to figure out if it was Mitchie. As the person drew closer she recognized the brunette hair of her sister. Sonny laughed a little at Mitchie's excitement and the girl she would assume is her friend, Caitlyn, who had been left carrying both of the girls' belongings.
"Sonny!" Mitchie exclaimed when she was close enough, throwing both her arms around the girl to give her a hug.
"It's so good to see you Mitchie," Sonny said as she returned the hug.
Mitchie and Sonny pulled away as Caitlyn finally managed to reach the trio. The trio laughed as Caitlyn dropped the bags and looked on is disbelief.
"Caitlyn this is my sister Sonny," Mitchie introduced motioning towards her twin.
"W-w-what? I don't understand," Caitlyn responded. She knew that Mitchie wasn't an only child, but she never expected that Mitchie had a twin sister.
"We'll explain on the way to the house," Mitchie said as she moved away to hug her dad and grab her bags. She knew Sonny really didn't want them to be spotted, so the quicker they got out of the airport the better. The three girls grabbed the bags and began making their way to car. Once the group was in the car Mitchie turned to Caitlyn. "I did not exactly tell you everything Caitlyn." Mitchie began to tell the story of the Munroe Torres family.
Hope you liked this chapter. Please review and tell me what you think.
PLEASE READ IMPORTANT AUTHOR NOTE!: So I have gotten a few questions about how I am portraying Mitchie's character and looking back on it, I can see that this scenario is a bit outside of Mitchie's character. I am not sure if I actually want to continue this story which is why is has taken me so long to update. Right now I am seeing how it goes whether I can get into the story the way I want to, but if I do decide to discontinue this story it will be up for others to continue. Also if anyone has suggestions I am always open to those as well.
