Once upon a time there lived two humble siblings, brother and sister. There names were "Toad" and "Toadette". They lived in a little cottage beside the woods in Toad Town. Their father, Toadsworth, also lived with them for they were not of legal toad age to live independently. Toadsworth, being the kind and gentle natured toad he was, always treated his children with reverence and benevolence. The result of his conduct towards his children was rewarding for his children were very well-mannered and their behavior was exceptional. Unfortunately, Toadsworth was growing old without a companion to continue the rest of his life with. An even major problem this small family faced was financial struggles. Although Toadsworth worked at the castle, they had lowered his income due to castle repairs, Princess Peach search squads, and other miscellaneous expenses always surfacing among the castle.

"Toad and Toadette, you better wake up or your breakfast is going to cold," called Toadsworth from the kitchen.

Toad and Toadette were in their small room sleeping in their bunk beds when they heard their father.

"Well, let's get up and eat. I'd hate for our continental breakfast to spoil." Toadette told Toad dryly.

Toad and Toadette got up and brush their teeth and went to the kitchen. Toadsworth had already eaten his meal and was now washing the dish. They both down and looked at their plate. Lying on each of their plates was a scrambled egg and a piece of bacon. It was not that fancy, but it definitely filled their small bellies.

"Did you both enjoy your breakfast?"

"It was delicious father." Toad and Toadette responded.

Toad went outside and waited for the mail like he always did. When he saw Parakarry he walked over and took the newspapers politely.

"Your gonna like today's issue. Squawkk! Something peculiar happened in Toad Town last night. Squawkk!" Parakarry said merrily.

"Really?! I can't wait to read it then!" Toad responded ever so happily.

Once Parakarry flew away, Toad ran inside. One of the highlights of his day was getting to read the daily newspaper and he couldn't wait to see what his mailman was talking about. Toadette walked over to him and they both gasped when the saw the front cover:

MYSTERIOUS STAR SEEN CRASHING ABOVE TOAD TOWN

Mysterious star was seen by toad witnesses last night crashing in the night sky. The witnesses claim the star was crashing into Forever Forest. The forest is not to be entered by anyone until the national koopa guard can inspect the situation. The forest may be closed for months until the star is found.

The first thing that both toads realized was the Forever Forest was the only way from their home to the castle. Toadsworth was going to be out of work for possibly many months!

"Should we even tell him this? I don't want him to be depressed even more," Toadette told Toad.

"Well, we have to before Monday because he will unknowingly walk right into the forest and get in trouble."

They sat in their room for many minutes debating what to do. Finally, they both had the same idea. They were going to…
