The man's gun was still aimed for his face.
"Again, who the hell are you?!" He asked. "What are you doing on Hollywood Undead turf? You spies for the Koreans or something?" Maddi didn't answer. "Are you?"
"No." He replied. "We're the Wolverines." the man paused.
"That Colorado group? The fuck are you doing in Minnesota?" he asked.
"Sight-seeing. Now get off me." He began to get up and Da Kurlzz held firm. He picked Maddi up like a bully, holding his pistol to Maddi's chin.
"You try anything... I'll put a bullet in your skull." Da Kurlzz punched him in the face, and he blacked out. Slowly he came to. Or he thought he did. He looked around frantically but all he saw was black. Was he dead? No, he realized it was just a cloth bag over his head. He was gagged as well. He managed to shake the bag off his head. J3T's face greeted his wake ups. He shook his head knocked him out again. He heard laughter as he went under, again.
This time he woke up on his feet. He quickly stopped them dragging him and a gun was pushed into his back.
"Move." said a slightly deeper voice than Da Kurlzz. He complied with the man. His hands were bound, and he saw nothing as he was directed towards their destination. He was pushed down.
"I'll be right back. You've got guards so don't even THINK about trying anything." said the man. Maddi stood up and tried to get a feel of his surroundings. He realized that he was in a small room, probably about 6 by 6. He felt around the room, feeling the stone floors and he found the door. Suddenly it swung open, and Maddi fell on his back.
"What the fuck are you trying to do?" Said a new voice. The bag was taken off his head and Maddi looked around. In front of him were 3 masked figures. Da Kurlzz was there, along with J-dog and Funny-man. "I asked you a question, wolverine." said J-dog.
"I was trying to feel how large the room was. And were the door was."
"What you gonna escape? No, no, no. You're not escaping this place my friend. We've got over 1000 people here who are ready to fill you with lead, understand?"
"Yeah got it. What do you want with me anyways?"
"We're just trying to get as much information from you as possible. We'll play nice for now." Funny-man said. "But remember, J3T hasn't tortured anyone in a long time. He'd be more than willing to... help out here." J-dog brought a chair in and another. They set up a table in his small room. Maddi was untied.
"Sit." J-dog said. Maddi complied, still wary if the man would suddenly pull out a knife and gut him. "I think it's time for proper introductions." He said. "I'm Kyle Smith." He said taking off his mask. The others did the same. "Funny-Mans real name is Raymond. Da Kurlzz is Omar. And your name, wolverine?"
"Maddi." He said quickly. "Maddi Eckert."
"Are you the leader of this group? Are you the leader of the wolverines?" Maddi nodded. And smiled. He realized that the Hollywood Undead Fighters was just a bunch of kids also.
"What's the smile for?"
"You guys are just a group of kids. And you disarmed and captured a group of heavily armed men and women."
"You're not much more of a man than us."
"How old are all of you?" Maddi asked.
"I, myself, am now 16. Raymond is 15, same with Omar. Yourself?"
"I'm 18. I'm an adult. You guys are just a bunch of kids."
"A bunch of kids who happened to kick your asses, and capture your convoy. Minnesota and other parts of the midwest were captured. Wisconsin went under two weeks ago, and Michigan is cut off from the rest of Free America because of it. Beyond Minnesota is free, for now. We're the only thing standing between Minnesota and complete capture." Omar yelled.
"Easy, Omar. Don't freak out. Yes, Maddi we're kids. Yes Maddi, we resist. You were probably just a high schooler when shit hit the fan. Well so were we. And we plan to free Minnesota by 4th of July. So I need to know, are the Wolverines gonna help Free America? Or are you assisting the Koreans."
"We're against the Koreans and Russians!" Maddi spat. "Russian Spetsnaz killed my brother, and Korean invaders killed my father!"
"So you'll help us?" Kyle asked.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'll help you."
"Good. Raymond take Maddi to his soldiers, and get them situated in the camp. You'll be taking orders from me now, Maddi. I'm the one in charge around here." And Kyle got up and left the room, leaving him with Raymond and Omar. Maddi got up and Omar stopped him.
"I'm smaller than you, but I'm sure as hell smarter. I will kill you, and your subordinates should you betray us." Omar warned. He left the room and Raymond followed close behind. Maddi left the room and Raymond was waiting for him.
"Come on. Omar may not like you but I see no problem. Let's go to your group." He said waving Maddi along. He followed and they went outside. He finally saw how impressive the camp was. Tents were set up everywhere, towers watched the sky. There was a large stone walled perimeter, guards swarming over it. Trucks were primed and ready, many with 50cal turrets on the back. There were men and women carrying guns around, and then there were civilians. Dozens of them. Probably hundreds. Maddi saw a family group of them. A mother and a father, two sons and a daughter. One of the sons was probably 15, he was armed. The father and mother were armed as well, only a pistol for the mother though. The son and daughter were probably just carefree kids, not a care in the world.
"I can see you're looking around camp." said Raymond. "Don't worry, for now at least, they're safe. Come on there's some blonde chick that keeps asking about you." He said.
Erika. Maddi thought. So she's ok... hopefully. Maddi nodded, and he followed Raymond. He was taken to a tent and inside Erika and Toby sat down, talking to one another.
"You ladies miss me?" He said. Erika's head bolted up and she ran over to him, hugging him.
"Are you ok?" She asked. "You've got a black eye."
"I do?" He asked. She nodded.
"It's probably from when Omar punched me."
"Omar?"
"That Da Kurlzz kid. He hit me hard enough that I blacked out. I never assumed he hit me in the face."
"Well It's just good to have you back, Maddi." said Toby.
"It's good to see you guys. Where's Robby?"
"I don't know." Toby said. "He was hit by some dude in a blue mask when we were ambushed. I don't know where he is." Maddi was enraged. He marched outside and saw that the man in the blue mask was right there. He had an AK-47 slung over his shoulder. Maddi didn't care. he marched up the man, grabbing him by the shirt.
"Where's Robby?!" He said. "Where?!" he yelled. The blue mask remained emotionless, but the man raised a gun to his chin.
"You ready to die?" He said. Maddi let go.
"Where is he?"
"I transported him back here. He's being asked the same questions you were, except he's being... unresponsive."
"Take me to him. I'll get him to answer your questions." He looked at his companion. It was Deuce from the video. He had a new sniper rifle slung over his shoulder.
"Sure we'll take you to him. Either of you try anything funny... remember, I have a gun." He said. The kid led him along the camp to a similar building to the one he had been in. The kid gestured inside. "He's in here." He said. J3T aimed his AK at him. "Come on. I thought you wanted to see him." Maddi entered the room. It was the same bleak grey color as the previous.
"Where's Robby?" He said. The kid gestured beyond the glass.
"One way glass. Courtesy of the Maple Grove police department." He looked beyond and Kyle was talking to Robby. He sat back in his chair and raised his hand to his comm.
"Chris, could you come in here?" J3T received the comm.
"What did he say?"
"Well it seems he's so unresponsive, that it's my turn to get it out of him." He slipped on some brass knuckles and barged into the room. Maddi's eyes grew wide was he charged in after him. "The hell are you doing?" Kyle asked.
"Stopping Chris from torturing Robby!"
"Woah, wait. Torture? You said you were calling your associate." Robby exclaimed.
"Well you were being uncooperative so I had to take more drastic measures."
"I'm here to tell him. Rob, it's ok. You can answer their questions. I did. It's fine, I swear." Maddi said.
"Ok Maddi. If you say its good, then it's good." He told them exactly as Maddi had, and more. He told them of their battles, of how they resisted the Koreans and Russians, how they had lost friends, how siblings had died. How Daryl was left, how Toby had nearly killed him.
"It's a good thing you didn't bring Daryl here." Chris said. "Last thing we need are the fucking spetsnaz storming our camp." He smiled. "Not that it would matter." He said.
"We didn't ask Daryl to stay behind!" Robby yelled. "He chose to..." He said. "He chose to."
"Well he's probably dead now, if you left him there." Kyle said. "It's the grim reality of it. We lost people to. But we still fight on." Suddenly there was a loud scream from within the camp.
"What the hell was that?" Maddi said. Kyle bolted up.
"Maddi, meet your men and equip them. Say it's my orders." He raised his hand to his comm. "Omar, Raymond follow that scream. Move it people, this is not a drill." Kyle grabbed an M4A1 assault rifle from a nearby gun rack. "Get to your people."
"On it." Maddi grabbed one of the AK's from the rack. He ran back to the tent and saw everyone armed and ready. "Come on, let's move it!" He said. He led Erika, Toby, and Robby to the source of the scream. Omar and a team had arrived as well. 6 Korean soldiers stood there, holding a young women by her hair. One held a gun to her head.
"Victoria!" Omar yelled. Chris ran up, AK drawn.
"You son of a bitch." He said. "Let her go!" He said raising the AK. Omar raised an ACR.
"Let her go, or I blow your fucking head off!" He yelled, mask on.
"You are in no position to make threats, American." He said. He held a Five-Seven pistol to her head, ready to pull the trigger. "Lower your weapons, and surrender. Or she dies."
"Don't do it!" Victoria yelled. "Don't do it!" The Korean smacked her and Omar charged. Maddi killed one of the subordinates and Chris shot two. Kyle blew ones head off. Toby shot the last as Omar tackled the leader. He raised a large hunting knife and stabbed the Korean in the throat. He got up, wiping blood off his mask and knife.
"Victoria, are you Ok?" Chris asked running up.
"Yeah. Bastards got the jump on me while I was out scouting."
"Be more careful." Kyle said. He waved three men forwards. "Get a team, and clear out these bodies. We don't need the little kids in camp to see them, and get nightmares." He laughed and turned to Maddi. "Welcome to Minnesota." he said.
