"I told you already, my name is Lars!" Lars shouted at his mother. His mother then slapped Lars across the face and said, "For the last fucking time, Lauren, you are a girl! I didn't raise a filthy boy!". "Not all men are filthy mom! You're just saying that because of Da-"Lars's mother then slapped him in the face again. "Don't you dare bring your father into this! I'll have you know I loved your father more than anything. He just… had filthy habits" Lars's mother retorted. "Yeah, nice way of saying he was an alcoholic who barely cared about you." Lars sarcastically replied. "I heard enough from you! Go to your room right now, Lauren! And don't be thinking you'll be getting any dinner tonight!" yelled Lars's mother. Lars then proceed to head to his room, but not before yelling at his mother:

"MY NAME ISN'T LAUREN!"

Lars then snapped back into reality when he felt a light tap on his shoulder.

"Sadie?"

"Lars! Are you ok? I heard you sobbing…" Sadie said, her voice and expression showing major concern. "It's nothing, Sadie. I was just thinking about this one argument I go into with my mom the other night." Lars replied, trying to dry his tears and hide his red, stinging eyes. "Was it a huge argument?" Sadie asked. "Well, let's just say it ended with me having no dinner" Lars said to try and brighten up the already awkward conversation. "Well, I'm glad you're alright now. I'm gonna head back home. My mom is probably worrying about me. See ya!" Sadie said and began walking home. Lars then got up from his spot, wiped the sand off of him and proceeded to head back home himself. "Oh! But before I go, I have a quick question!" Sadie said. "Hm?" Lars mumbled as he turned around to face Sadie.

"Why did you say, 'My name's not Lauren'?"
