Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, it is owned by Masashi Kishimoto. Superman is owned by DC Comics. Superman: Birthright is owned by DC Comics. I own nothing but a love for DC and Naruto.

Author's Note: Here is the second chapter everyone. I have to admit there is a joy in writing something you have an interest in. Writing for university is tough. I am thinking of using the Batman: Arkham Origins game for when Naruto meets Bryce. I am thinking of adopting some Smallville episodes in this story or an arc; I just do not know which one to use. If you have any ideas or suggestions or tips for that idea or any other ideas, please write a review or send me a PM. I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Four Years Later

Uzumaki Naruto had found himself in a world unlike any other. Through the use of his Shadow Clones, he had absorbed a great deal of information and learned much about this new Earth. Science, technology, transportation and medicine had undergone an incredible leap. He even learned about man travelling to the moon, and dropping machines on other planets to acquire more information and knowledge about the universe. One thing, however, made him shake his head in disappointment. The Earth had undergone Two Bloody World Wars, and a number of useless proxy wars that benefited no one. In Naruto's mind, somethings would never change, and one of those things was war. A costly endeavor which brought pain and suffering to both sides of participants. War was not about who won; it was about who survived and the cost of living after that.

He discovered that on this Earth, human beings had no access to Chakra which gave him great relief. There was an abundance of Natural Energy on the planet; the humans of this planet did not know how to harness it. One thing did worry him however. There was great power hidden on this planet, and perhaps great power hidden deep in the universe. He just did not know if it was friend or foe. He had no idea that Death was a beautiful woman and why Death sent him to this planet. Whatever the reason, he needed to be ready.

Death sent him to the planet with various scrolls containing different types of Ninjutsu to learn, as well as bags of money and Gold to get something established. He was able to forge the documents necessary to get a bank account, passport, anything he would need as to not draw unnecessary attention to himself and to hopefully fit in.

Looking at himself in the mirror, things did change quite a bit. Though he had not reached his maximum height as he was sixteen years old, he managed to build a better physique for himself. He needed to keep himself ready for anything.

Through the scrolls, the Shadow Clones, and the Rikudo mode, he had managed to learn many techniques for the rest of the Five Great Elements. He had sharpened his Taijutsu, and learned how to open the Eight Gates. With Ashura's chakra flowing through him, he somehow managed to awaken Mokuton Ninjutsu. The two things that brought him real happiness was mastering the Hiraishin and learning Fuinjutsu. Having something that reminded him of his father and mother made him really happy.

Lying down on his bed, he decided to pay Kurama a visit. Instead of the sewers that used to occupy his mind, he opted for large forests for Kurama to run around in and rest. Locating his friend, he found him taking a nap, and decided to see if he was up for conversation. However, before that, he found a small clearing, in which he erected a tombstone for the shinobi who fell during the Fourth War, and for his friend Neji, who sacrificed himself for him. He stood there remembering the good and the bad times of his life in the Shinobi World. There were many bad moments, but there were also good ones. He knew in his heart that things would be alright.

He carved the names of his friends and loved ones on the tombstone, and poured himself a shot glass of sake, and toasted his comrades. He did not know if he would ever meet them again, so he owed himself to live life the best way possible. Whatever the world had in store for him, he would be ready. He would find love, and he would defend this world from all threats as long as he drew breath.

"Finally mourned them a bit, huh? You do know that they might not be dead at all."

Naruto looked around to see Kurama smiling at him happily. One thing was for certain. Despite all the crap they had been through, the two managed to grow very close to one another. They became an inseparable and mighty pair.

"Yeah Kurama. I finally said goodbye. I do not know if I will ever see them again, might as well say goodbye, I hate crying now."

"The ones who love us never really leave us kid. They are in our hearts, always."

"You totally stole that from Harry Potter, huh?"

"Guilty as charged."

"Kurama, why do you think we are here in this world?"

"Beats me, kid. We can do whatever we want. You could sell Ramen or sell those perverted books your Godfather made. The possibilities are endless. Just do not get any bright or idiotic ideas in your head."

"This world is not ready nor will it ever be ready to accept someone like us Naruto. If the human beings of this world learn what you can do, they will do everything they can to be like you and acquire that power for themselves."

"I feel sorry for the dumbfuck who decides to do that. He or she will have to go life and death for that to happen. I would never spread Chakra to this world. It would be chaos, the end of this world."

"Glad to see you have learned something. Anyways, how goes your love life/friendship with Clara Kent?"

"I am just her friend, Kurama. She probably has guys lined up to date her."

"Don't sell yourself short kid. You are precious to me, even she will one day feel the same way. I am glad you made a friend. You need more of those in life. Did you sense her power; it is off the charts. I had no idea people are capable of that kind of power. First Death, now this Clara Kent, things are really strange in this world."

"She dresses in baggy clothing, keeps a slight slouch and wears glasses. She is hiding her real self Kurama. If the world had difficulty accepting Jinchuriki, it will have difficulty accepting her. If anyone tries to mess with her, I am gonna have fun breaking some bones. You remember the day that those girls were harassing her in middle school, daring her to fight back?"

"Yeah, I do. She was standing beside a fence, holding on to it as if she wanted to hurl it at them. The fence was crumbling under the pressure she was extruding, and no one else could really notice. Then you came to defend her and put the fear of God into everybody with your aura. Then those girls and their boyfriends' cornered you someplace else, and you humiliated your opponents. Speaking of which, what about the other girl that was there that day Naruto?"

"You mean Alexandria Luthor, Kurama? She is Clara's friend. I guess they met in middle school. I feel pity for the girl. Something is definitely wrong with her, I just do not know what. I have a feeling it is very serious. I hope I do not encounter another Sasuke situation in this world; I have had enough of those for a lifetime. I have a feeling things will never be the same when it comes to us. Anyways, get some sleep, we will figure this out later."

Kurama went to sleep, hoping that Naruto was right. It had been a long time since the both of them had found a measure of peace, he would burn anyone who would try to upend that peace.

Clara Josephine Kent

Clara Josephine Kent had a pretty interesting life in her eyes so far. Growing up on a farm in Smallville, Kansas, she became use to the daily grind of farm work and chores. However, one day, while being harassed by a bunch of idiots in middle school, she discovered she had special abilities that no one else had. She could leap tall buildings in a single bound, she could move with super speed, she could lift extraordinarily heavy things without much effort. She had heat vision and x-ray vision, man the list went on and on for her.

One day she confronted her mother and father, and learned something that she wished she never learned. She was not born on Earth; she came to Earth in a spaceship from some planet light years away and on that day there was a massive meteor shower that affected many. Her Earth parents had no idea where she came from. This explained a lot for her. How they would always worry for her, how they always told her to be careful, they were looking out for her wellbeing. Unlike the people affected by the meteor shower, she was born with special gifts that seemed to revolve around the power of the yellow sun.

Unlike many girls her age, Clara had grown into a very beautiful individual. She was quite tall for her age, reaching a height of six feet and one inch complete with an Amazonian like physique and a cheerful and quiet demeanor. She was the envy of many girls in her high school, and the desire of every guy in school. The one unique ability that Clara discovered she had was the ability to sense an individual's aura. It is why the new student, Uzumaki Naruto intrigued her. In high school Clara had managed to make a few genuine friends in Pete Ross and Chloe Sullivan, both who eventually learned her secret and promised to keep it to themselves. Clara had even managed to befriend Alexandria Luthor, a shy introvert who could be called a genius. Her intelligence had alienated many around her, and she mostly spent her time at school alone. Despite all of this, and the warnings of her father Jonathan, Clara befriended Alex, and they both bonded over a shared love of Astronomy.

Despite this however, Clara noticed that Alex was "fundamentally disturbed", and developed an unhealthy curiosity in the unknown and had developed a hatred for God, and extremely powerful beings. One day, she visited Alex in her private basement laboratory, and she showed Clara a mysterious green rock she found, which was causing her pain. Alex initially misunderstood Clara, believing she had grown to fear her like everybody else, yet Clara reassured her that this was not the case at all. Clara also noticed how Alex was always unnerved by the presence of her father, and that some days, she would be covered in bruises. Clara wondered if her friend was being abused by her father. She had no complete proof, yet it Alex was being abused her father, there would be no place where Alexander Luthor could hide. Unbeknownst to her, someone else was going to pay Alexander Luthor a very nasty visit.

Clara was brought back to her view on Uzumaki Naruto. She first got to meet him in middle school. The son of dead Japanese immigrants, who was now living with his Godfather, Uzumaki Naruto was an enigma for her. In middle school, when she was dealing with idiotic bullies who tried to hurt her, he literally scared them away with his aura. In Smallville High, she learned he had a healthy need for pranking. He one day covered the entire school in orange paint, and the administration could not chase it back to him. He defended people from bullies, and threated to devour them if they ever preyed on innocents again. Someone had been watching or reading too much do with the anti-hero Venom. His eyes conveyed sadness. However, he was full of life and zeal, and lived life like there was no tomorrow.

The one thing that intrigued and scared her was his aura. When she concentrated hard enough using her x-ray vision, she saw something lying inside of his stomach, smiling back at her. In that moment, she saw the silhouettes of eight titanic beings staring at her, with a ninth one in the shape of a fox roaring at her malevolently. Did Naruto gain special powers from the meteor shower? When Naruto noticed her staring at him intently, he decided to approach her.

"You okay, Ms. Kent?"

"Yeah Naruto, I am good." Clara needed to change the subject. "Sorry for staring so hard."

"It's no worry. The gorgeous amazon of Smallville, Kansas staring at me intently is a cause for happiness. Who else can say they received that honor?"

Clara looked at her feet for a bit. To hide her powers, she wore special glasses made of lead to keep her powers in check, and wore baggy clothing, and developed a slouch to make sure no one could suspect her of having special abilities. She never received any complements in this state. Naruto walked up to her and gently removed her glasses. He gently ran his finger through a lock of hair, and brought it behind her ears. He then poked her in the forehead, similar to how Itachi treated Sasuke.

"You are very beautiful. Stand tall and proud. Own your strength and power. And don't ever take shit form anybody. Be what you want to be."

"What…, what are you talking about?"

"You are destined for great things, Clara. I hope to be by your side when that day comes."

Naruto walked away. Clara tried to chase after him, only for him to disappear into nowhere.

"Uzumaki Naruto, what are you, really?"

A Week Later

Clara tried to learn more about Naruto, after their conversation. She learned that he had a love for sports and martial arts, as he received permission to start a martial arts club at the school. She one day caught him explaining different styles and ways of fighting, which intrigued her. Though he never had much love for studies, he excelled at history, art, and was decent in the sciences.

One day, she decided to follow him to see where he lived. As she was walking down the street discreetly at night time, she suddenly fell to the ground, feeling very nauseous and weak. She was pulled into a dark alley, noticing that the men were Morgan Edge's goons. After her Red K debacle, and temporarily working for Morgan Edge, she thought she taught him a severe lesson when he kidnapped her parents. She beat the crap out of him that day, and told him to never come near her and her family ever again.

It seems this time they came prepared with that same green rock that was a pain in the ass for her to deal with. In her weakened state, she was no match for them, and she was beaten down very badly. The goons decided to rape her, and deliver her corpse to her parents, as a brutal message of never messing with Morgan Edge. However, as she lost consciousness, she swore she saw Naruto beat the living daylights out of her attackers. He ripped of their arms and legs as they begged for mercy. She didn't remember anything after that.

She woke up in Smallville General, and saw Naruto was sleeping on a chair. Martha and Jonathan came into the room, worried about their daughter.

Naruto woke up and decided to make his presence known.

"Your daughter is alright Mr. and Mrs. Kent. She just slipped and hurt herself really badly."

"Uzumaki Naruto, huh? You seem to have a knack of helping out my daughter quite a bit. Thank you, son."

"No need for thanks, sir. She does not need anyone's help. I was just there at the right time. See you at school Clara."

"Naruto?"

"What is it, pretty lady?"

Clara smiled a little at his comment. "Thank you, Naruto." She was happy that Naruto was there for her. She had no idea what those men would have done to her, if Naruto did not show up. She vowed to get some training in, no one would touch her like that again.

"Your most welcome."

A month after the incident, Clara was standing on a bridge contemplating her life. She loved her life in Kansas, yet she wanted to do more with life. Her father advised her that the world was not ready for her, and it would never be ready for her. She told him that she wanted more out of life, not to be a farmer. She wanted to go home and apologize for her attitude, when she saw a car fall into the river. She was about to jump in to save the occupant, when she saw Naruto in a blur, jump into the river, and pull Alex out. She swore she saw some strange blue energy around his feet, and he was walking on the water. She saw Naruto administer CPR, and she felt jealous seeing Naruto breathe into Alex's mouth to bring her back from the brink.

Alex coughed up water, and saw Naruto looking at her with a mixture of worry and calm. He also seemed to notice her bruises, and she felt for a moment, that Naruto's eyes turned red, and there were slits inside of them. She felt that if this Naruto learned about what her father did to her, he would lose everything.

"You okay madam, you seem lost or something."

" I am fine, just don't do that again. And I am too young to be called madam."

"Yeah, I am sorry about that. Yet, I cannot resist giving CPR to a beautiful lady."

Clara was viewing their interaction with a tinge of jealousy. Alex was a very beautiful woman with an alluring demeanor that could have men eating out of the palm of her hand. She did know Naruto for long, yet she felt something for him. His warm demeanor, his kindness and purity. She felt that he was not of this world; she felt a kindred spirit in him. Both having special abilities, yet having to live in this world hiding them.

"This is a pretty special day you know. The beauty of Smallville, Kansas, and the equally gorgeous, alluring angel of Smallville. Today must be my lucky day. This is the start of a wonderful friendship."

Alex looked at him. "You think we are friends now?"

"After you save someone from harm, you cannot help but form a bond with that person."

Naruto brought out his fist, and they both mumped their fists against his. As he started laughing and smiling, Clara and Alex could not help but smile as well, finding his positivity infectious. Even Alex forgot her troubles, and reveled in simplicity of life.
