SPECIAL NOTE: STOP!

Dear Readers, Consequences is NOT new, it is almost 8 years old (hard for me to believe). After housing it in another place for all of these years I have decided to move the complete story to this website. Before you read further, please visit my profile page and look for the Consequences information to get a jist of what you're about to get in to. I highly encourage you not to read further at this time and to wait until I remove this special note from 'Chapter 2' to continue to read, as if you try to get ahead of me, you will find missing links and it will cheapen your reading experience! Trust me, you will enjoy the story more if you can finish a version in one sitting. It shouldn't take but a day or two to get it all moved over. Thanks for your patience!

Welcome to Hazzard County. Well as I said, there ya are in the back seat of the General Lee with our favorite cousins, Bo and Luke Duke. There just ain't no tellin' what's gonna happen now that Bo's made a perfect landin' and you've cleared that train. But I gotta admit if ya do run into trouble, there's worse people to get in trouble with, ain't there?

"You alright back there?" Bo asks, his huge grin giving way to concern as he eyes your shocked expression in the rearview mirror.

"I hit my head when we landed, but I think I'll be okay." You admit, rubbing the sore spot you gained from your first jump in the General.

Luke looks back to confirm that you're alright before he responds. "Sure you will. Duke hard-headedness runs in the family. Just look at Bo here." He finishes by giving your blond haired cousin a smile that displays his imples.

"Real cute, Luke." Bo replies. "'Course you'd know about that best. You've been a Duke longer than I have." He adds, always ready to remind Luke that he is the older of the two.

"I hate to interrupt the brotherly love flowing back and forth up there but exactly why did we jump that train?" You ask.

"'Cause jumpin' the train saved us 2 minutes on the trip to town, and we gotta get the mortgage payment there for Uncle Jesse by noon!" Bo explains.

"Noon?" You ask in disbelief.

When you first arrived in Hazzard a few days earlier, Daisy took special delight in showing you around the county in her customized Jeep, Dixie. Although that had been your only trip through Hazzard before today, it was enough to tell you that there was no way your cousins were going to get a payment anywhere that resembled civilization in four minutes, and you quickly point that fact out to them.

"Well, there may not be a road that can get us there that fast, but in Hazzard, we don't always use roads." Bo grins as he drives into an open field and a river looms ahead. Your eyes widen in astonishment as, instead of slowing down, Bo pushes harder on the gas and the General goes flying once again, landing safely on the other side. This time, you instinctively put your hands up, bracing yourself for the impact.

At approximately 11:59 a.m., the General Lee skids to a halt in front of the bank. Bo and Luke quickly climb out, with Bo walking over the hood of the General to save time before dashing up the stairs. You've yet to master the fine art of maneuvering out of the backseat of a vehicle on which the doors are welded shut, and you find yourself struggling to get out of the General.
