Her heart was stuttering as Alys played dead. She's always been a good actor. There was a gasp from above, "Is she...?" "Go check!" "The boss will be so angry!"

"Why will I be so angry?" A gasp. "She's dead?!" Alys wanted to laugh; this was kind of comical, the way they took it. She was expecting to be caught in her attempt of escape, but this was way too easy! Wow.

The guards muttered, "How about we stage something?" "Sounds great, Grump." She was lifted, and she thought. Yeah. Great idea. "She ran, made an escape, and we couldn't find her?" "Perfect." She felt herself being rocked, and the boys said, "Overboard...one...two...three." She was thrown over the side of the ship, and had to hold in her gasp of pain as she hit the water. She let herself go under. They would never be able to see her beneath this water. Perfect.

She began to swim, ignoring every pore of her body's aching cries. This was probably one of the craziest ideas she'd ever gotten. She couldn't tell which way she was going, but she knew...land had to be near. She kept paddling...hoping for her breaths to deepen later on in her frenzy to get away from the ship now. She had to get away from that thing!
